Only reason why I am giving two stars is because the initial breast augmentation was aesthetically…read morepleasing. Otherwise, one star would be left. I do not know where to start. Wide eyed and bushy tailed, I walked into my initial consultation several years ago and inquired about breast implants. I was determined to not have scars (shame on me for not doing more research; however, I trusted the "professionals"). They're great until something goes wrong or you are unhappy. First of all, under the armpit incisions are not the best way to go about putting something into the chest cavity. I mentioned I had some nerve damage and couldn't feel my entire arm down to my pinky for a year post procedure and was told this was caused by something else (not true) it was nerve damage from the implants, which has left me with numbness and arm pain to this day. The implants were also slightly squished after getting an MRI and were too large for my body as a whole. Almost immediately after I had this procedure, I experienced a wide array of symptoms, starting with the nerve damage, numbness and hair loss. I was a bodybuilder prior to the procedure and afterwards, could not do push ups or chest workouts anymore due to the damage they caused. The implant would freeze and almost cramp on the side I had issues with. After three years of Breast Implant Illness symptoms and nearly my entire body shutting down, I knew I had to do something after ruling nearly everything else out. I called and asked if Dr. Lo did implant removal and was told I could come in for a consultation. At this point, I was desperate to just have my life back. It was so bad that I could barely walk some days - from brain inflammation, to mitochondrial damage, hair loss, food allergies, brain fog, the list goes - Breast Implant Illness IS REAL. I went in for my consultation and was nearly in tears because I could hardly function and never knew what the day would bring only to have Dr. Lo smirk and mock what I was telling him. I said "are you mocking me?" And he stated he is a traditional doctor and treats symptoms. He said he could do the removal then back tracked and referred me to someone else (who I did not go to because any referral from a Doctor who mocks and laughs at you in a time of need is not one I would trust). His bedside manner during a time of distress and desperation was deplorable. My mother was in the room with me and she was nearly in tears afterward with the way he spoke and belittled my reality. I am floored that this is the way he treated someone who simply wanted to know the options for removal. There are tens of thousands of women whose bodies reject implants and if a doctor is too ignorant to recognize this then I would walk the other way. I would never recommend him to anyone. I ended up having them removed with a doctor in Bucks County and finally have my life back. YES the SYMPTOMS that you claim to "treat" have diminished and some completely disappeared already. If you treat "symptoms" then understand THE IMPLANTS were the issue because I feel like a human being again and everything has nearly gone away six months later. Wake up to the reality that implants are not safe and check your bedside manner.

From consultation to post-op care, he was attentive, precise, and never pushy. He understood I wasn't chasing "overdone." I just wanted a refreshed, natural look -- and that's exactly what I got. The brow lift was done at the hairline, not endoscopically -- which gave a smooth, lifted result without raising my hairline or creating a harsh "surprised" look. My upper eyelids are now clean and open, without that heavy fold I'd grown used to. And the revision rhinoplasty? Spot on. He corrected the flaws from a previous surgery without making my nose look pinched or generic -- just natural, centered, and elegant. Healing went smoothly -- no infections, no major bruising, no surprises. Just results. Dr. Heffelfinger has a conservative, artistic eye and a reassuring presence. I felt safe, seen, and cared for every step of the way. Jefferson Facial Plastics is top-tier -- clean, organized, and genuinely supportive. I would recommend him to anyone serious about facial work done right.

I spend a lot of time and money researching and learning about skincare, and I have come across only a few people in this city who are as informed, skilled and caring about their work as Jean. If you care about your skincare, go see her -- TODAY. Recently, I arrived for a facial but was short on time. Jean recommended a peel that did wonders for my skin. She gave me the most wonderful mask afterwards; it smelled good enough to eat. Best of all, my face is still glowing. The office is easily accessible, and it looks like a physicians' office. Appointments are easily made, rescheduled, and cancelled. The products they sell are fantastic, and there is no markup as far as I can tell. There is a person who is specially designated to take care of your purchases. Jean does not accept tips. I don't know what else I can add. You really need to go there!

Because he did not do a thorough evaluation prior to surgery, he changed the agreed to approach "on the spot" in surgery while I was under anesthesia. If K Cross had recommended the approach he used prior to surgery, I would have opted not to have the procedure done. He has yet to discuss this with me--I had to read it in his operative note. A medical issue arose during a followup visit and he said he would find out and get back to me--he has not. It is now many, many months since this commitment was made. In addition, I had to take non-absorbable stitches out myself as he did remember to do so on my first post-op visit. One would think that if you spend in the five figures for a procedure that the surgeon could at least remember to remove the sutures. K Cross also seems to rely heavily on medicating his patients--I have a cabinet full of prescriptions including a controlled substance. I found the practice to be very disorganized--I never knew who would be calling me, scheduling the procedure was difficult and confusing, the estimate for the procedure was inaccurate and I was charged significantly more, and appointment wait times were 30 plus minutes. Followup and accountability were markedly lacking--it was an expensive experience and the surgical results are very disappointing--premium pricing but not premium results. I regret allowing him to do surgery on me. In my opinion, he exercised very poor judgment in several areas of my medical care that impeded optimal recovery. I did not find him to be trustworthy.

That doctor took measurements and photos, did an extremely thorough examination, discussed in depth the surgery itself and what techniques would be used depending on findings, etc. He asked many questions to understand what my wife wanted and was very clear that recovery could take weeks. At Main Line the doctor took no measurements, did a cursory examination, and barely talked compared to our first consult. The before and after photos of past surgeries did not impress my wife. The consult felt rushed and impersonal. Then when left with the assistant to discuss costs, we were given different information on recovery than the doctor told us (bearing in mind that his recovery estimate seemed optimistic already). Suddenly, recovery time was as little as 2 days - which seems to be completely contrary to readily available information let alone logic. It seemed to me that the staff is trying hard to sell you and will talk in circles to do so. A breast reduction is not minor surgery, and to be told that my wife should be fine to wrangle our rambunctious 4 year old on her own by day 3 seemed incredibly irresponsible. She the followed up with nonsense about what type of vacation we can take the soonest after surgery (not a concern we raised) and 5 minutes needlessly rehashing that the cost is different depending on which surgery center we used. That they seemed so disinterested in providing details on the actual surgery and recovery, yet spent so much effort on relative nonsense, only served to further put us off. The cost was as expected. The sales tactics were not, and in my opinion it is quite a danger sign if an office tries to sell you on surgery likes it's a time share. And while this is subjective, the assistant in in our opinion needs to step away from the filler - the subjective judgment of beauty applied there was not what my wife was looking for with her surgery. This was consult 2 of 3 in my wife's search for the right surgeon. They can't all be winners ;)

I chose Dr. Lee's practice because of favorable reviews. I'm an adopted Asian American woman (I will be 50 this year) and was having a difficult time connecting with any surgeon that a natural and less evasive approach was what I wanted. I also desired a local physician. Upon meeting Dr. Lee and his capable staff while sitting in his naturally lit treatment room, I was hopeful. Dr. Lee's recommendations (right upper eyelid surgery , both lower eyelids and a silhouette lift mid-face) for me has resulted in a much needed boost in my confidence in as little as 1 month and gaining as I continue to heal beautifully. I am very grateful to have Dr. Lee and his sweet support staff as a valuable resource. They have managed to help me make my transformation remarkably seamless.

I did so and mentioned what a previous oculoplastic surgeon recommended after surgery with him. I then received a very rude email stating that my eyes were shaped "extremely different" (duh, I know that, that's why I'm seeking help), and that the surgery wouldn't be helpful. No suggestions for an in person consultation. If I look so "extremely" uneven, wouldn't you at least want to try to help me? Photos are limited for evaluation. Also, I just mentioned what one doctor suggested years ago. Obviously I don't believe that what was mentioned then is still what I need. I just finished medical school and honestly, I'm still so peeved and hurt by this unprofessional encounter I felt the need to write. Having a congenital eye disorder results in a lot of insecurities, and having a sensitive bedside manner is really important when helping potential patients. I felt awful about myself after this encounter and stopped seeking help for some time...I just hope whoever wrote that email has learned to be more sensitive towards vulnerable patients. PS I lived 10 min from the office at the time I asked about a consultation.
