My son is a freshman at UWP. This is his first Wisconsin Winter. Being from central Illinois, he…read morehas seen some snow and cold weather, but nothing like he has seen this this winter! During the recent cold snap, his car would not start. Nice, I thought, I live 6 hours away!. Figuring it was a battery issue caused by the extreme cold, I called Wal Mart to price a battery, then told him to have a buddy help him jumpstart the car. The battery was too far gone. To top it off, the university had sent notices for students to move their vehicles so they could clear the lots of snow. Faced with a car that would not start, a deadline, fines, and the possibility of getting towed, and unable to be there to help, I hopped online for a local shop and found Al's. I called and told him the situation, he was pretty sure he could help.. I let him know that I would be forwarding his number to my son to set up a time for him to come out to the car. Within minutes he showed up, had the car started, and drove it back to his shop where he hooked it up to a charger for about 24 hrs. The next day he called to let us know that the batter for sure needed replaced. He also noted that the sticker on the current battery was dated less than 2 years ago. I gave him the ok to do what he needed to do to get my son going again. By the end of the ordeal, Al's had made a service call, drove the car back to his shop, put the battery on a charger for 24hrs, and replaced the battery with a brand new one. All of this at HALF the cost of what a new battery would have been had my son been able to get his car out to Wal Mart! I remember being impressed that Al's would even be willing to make a service call in those conditions. Of course, my next thought was, "boy is this gonna cost me!" My son was in a difficult situation and up against a deadline. Al's could have taken full advantage of the fact that my son was a clueless college kid whose parents are 6 hours and 2 states away. But the fact is, he did not. He was quick to help, went beyond my expectations, and charged about a third of what I was expecting to pay. I highly recommend Al's for your automotive needs. Especially if you are a parent of a student who is up there alone. These guys have proven to be honest and trustworthy.

We called our sales man who sold us the car (alex mann) and he would never return our calls. We ended up trading it in for a wrangler at galena chrysler. Amazing people to work with would never buy anything anywhere else but galena Chrysler. So we screwed up again and bought another wrangler that i fell in love with at ubersox. My shocks broke through the frame and up through the back trunk! This shouldn't have happened 4 months after buying a $28,000 vehicle. When i went in they told me i didn't have a warranty! Ha! Went home looked at my papers and found a warranty so i went back and showed it to them. The service guys were decent and helpful but the manager derek is a piece of lazy sh!t. He wouldn't even come out and talk to us about our vehicle we purchased through him. They are fixing the issue but i recommend not going to ubersox due to the lazy manager and how they do not stand behind what they say. They definitely do not put you first at ubersox.

After calling a few tow companies who didn't answer and AAA who's said they wouldn't even get to me for about 1 1/2- 2 hours I called Ubersox for help. I was on my way within 1/2 hour of the blow out and was eternally grateful for their quick and friendly service!

After a lot of debate and contacting Rundes directly to lodge a complaint I've decided to write…read morethis review to warn others about the poor customer service that my finacé received at the service center at the Platteville location. He bought his car about a year ago from the hazel green location and paid for the warranty they suggested. He's used his warranty before for a turbo issue 6 months ago and had 0 issues. Well the check engine light came on again and the turbo was the problem again so he took it in. The service manager almost did not want to run the warranty it was like pulling teeth to get him to put in any sort of claim or make sure it was covered. After a day of them having his car my finacé asked for a loaner car while they figured out the warranty issue and got met with "we don't do that" so he took his car back, but they do offer loaners and ended up giving him one the next day when he brought his car back. When they started working on his car they found an issue that was apparently caused by an accident that had happened before he bought the car so the warranty wouldn't cover it, even though the accident happened before he bought the car from the previous owner and he was assured that the bumper damage was just cosmetic. We understood that since he's had the car for a year and the issue didn't present until now there was nothing they could do and just asked them to do the work covered under the warranty because they quoted $1600 to replace the radiator that was broken from the accident and we can't afford that so we're going to shop around for possibly cheaper options. Well they refused to do the warranty work because the radiator apparently caused the turbo issue since the brackets were broken and it rubbed through a hose and they werent going to put a broken part back in. He said he understood told them put his car back together he was going to look elsewhere. He then goes to pick up his car and they give him a bill for almost $800 for only taking the bumper on and off. When he asked for an itemized bill they got annoyed but gave it to him. Well they charged parts on there that they never installed and claimed they "forgot to take off". Well he still ended up paying $600 for 3.5 hours of labor to remove and put on his bumper. When he asked them why the diagnostic test to remove the bumper and put it back on (because the damage could not be seen until the bumper was off) wasn't covered by the warranty he was told that "im not gonna run that claim" My fiance then paid went to his car called the warranty himself and they said it should have been covered so he went back in to the show room to ask for a manager. Someone asked if they could help him he asked to speak with a manager. They went and got a manager who then just took him back to the service area where the service manager rolled their eyes and said "I'm not dealing with this f**** s*** anymore I'll call the warranty myself" and the other manager just walked away after that. When he called the warranty he only asked if they covered collision damage, which obviously they said no, so my fiance tried asking him to check about the labor hours for the bumper removal and he just kept interrupting him until the service manager said "he wasn't going to do that because it wasn't worth it". Things got more heated and kept going back and forth until my finacé gave up and left. I tried calling today to lodge a customer service complaint that initially seemed to be taken seriously until they went and talked to the service manager who said my fiance blew up when he was simply trying to explain why the warranty wouldn't cover the radiator and that my fiance stormed into the show room and interrupted the other manager while he was helping a customer and threw papers in his face all of which didn't happen. So now we are both banned from all locations because "they treat all their customers with respect and expect the same in return" tell me what's being respectful to your customers in any of the situation I explained above.
