This is the best GPs surgery I have ever known by a mile…read more They run a fantastic system whereby if you need to see someone urgently you can attend 'Open Surgery' sessions which are run for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the afternoon - you see a nurse to start with, but if necessary, a doctor is called in. If you particularly need or want to see your own doctor, there is an equally good system in place where you contact the surgery and go on your doctor's 'Ring Back' list and they really do ring back (generally within a couple of hours of your request). At this point, they will either sort you out over the phone or make an appointment for you to come in and see them. All the staff I have dealt with at the surgery are consumate professionals and I was extremely sorry to leave the surgery when I moved from Christchurch. I wish all surgeries were the same.

Located in a fairly new building, this is a well organised health centre. With a large waiting room…read morethere is no chance of feeling uncomfortably close to other patients whilst awaiting your turn! For nervous patients the far end of the waiting area has a lovely fish tank, popular with children and next to a good selection of childrens toys. The surgery operates a touch screen booking in service, which means no more queues to book in with the receptionist! They also have an intercom system which saves the staff time as your name comes across a tannoy into the waiting area advising you which treatment room to go into. The staff are generally all very friendly, and although it is quite a modern surgery it has all the personal touches you would associate with a traditional one!

I know, you think I'm making this up or that I'm related to them but honestly they're for real. Now, I'm not exactly in and out of there every week but the times I have been I've never had a bad or even a slightly 'off' experience. Course I wouldn't call a smear fun but the nurse who did it was great. When I needed a referral to Frimley they sorted it out so quickly, and the aftercare was so good I meant to send them a thank you card, but of course I forgot and I'd look mental if I sent it now

I have attended the surgery on many occations and I have always felt that the staff and the doctors…read moremake time for me. The phone is answered very quickly and appointments are normally same day or next. One of the doctors rooms is upstairs so if you are unable to climb the stairs you must say on the phone. When I made my appointment I could not climb the stairs the doctor came down to get me, I was taken in to another room with no hassle and seen too. Nothing was to much trouble. The waiting room is outdated but the doctors and the staff are excellent.
