The amount of lip and laughter from this Melissa Ann girl is enough to pull up on a b@&$&! Bunch of illiterate people and nurses pull your family to safety and health! with a reputable company that offers compassion and excellent customer service THIS IS NOT IT ! Place is a joke ! I was started with Lone Star after a hospital admission. It started well after a bad run in with the first provider they sent out. They subsequently referred fantastic physical and occupational therapists and a wonderful home health aide! I have been diagnosed with chronic pain, COPD, DM II, hypertension, PTSD, depression, and, more recently, agoraphobia. I was treated well for 3 years, until, I was informed, a new director took over. I was told this physician did not like treating pain. "If a patient has pain, I don't care" is a statement I was told this doctor said. My pain medication was cut off and I was referred to Pain Management. If I was a "normal" patient, I could go to a new provider and travel for the numerous appointments and procedures I was told I would probably need. However, I am HOMEBOUND. It's not that I WILL not follow this recommendation, it's that I CANNOT! I began contacting/researching as many Pain Management doctors and clinics as I could find, only to be told that none would do home visits. I had to accept the fact that my pain would no longer be treated...that, on top of my other conditions, I would now have to live with severe, untreated pain. I was then told that, because I would not follow this order, I was being dropped from care with a generous 4 DAYS notice! I'm a patient who has very little quality of life at this point. And now, what little life I DID have is lessened every day. I'm not a rich woman...they weren't making big profits caring for me. But, basically, I'm being shown and told that my life isn't worth living or fighting for. As much as I would like to argue with this, I no longer have the strength to do so... read more

I was given the worst treatment by LONESTAR VISITING PHYSICIANS! As I write this grievance i'm still in tears. As I am going through , major medical issues my insurance changed. Becauae of the changed insurance I had to do the one thing everyone dealing with major health issues hates to have to do, I had change primary care physicians. After selecting LONESTAR VISITING PHYSICIANS of San Antonio, Texas as my new PCP, I was given a 3 month wait to be seen for an new patient intake appointment. Before this first appointment I was asked to have information sent from my last Doctor and paperwork filled out, Which was done. On the day of my first appointment none of my paperwork had been received. Also on that appointment I explained I was dealing with several health issues and explained I needed continued specialists care. I went four whole months without a call back or a follow up. I finally decided to reach out to LONSTAR VISITING PHYSICIANS to schedule a follow up appointment. My first appemt I called to schedule a appointment from my first visit they did not follow up on, I was asked to call back to schedule the appointment. The second time I called back to schedule the appointment I was told the appointment would be scheduled and someone would reach out to me with the scheduled date and time. I call back again to try to schedule a Appointment because i had not received the appointment, and I'm told the same thing a second time. Again no one calls back. A month later because I am doubled over in pain I decide to walk into the office to demand I see the physician. When I get there doubled over in pain I am told to come back three days later (I finally get an appointment after showing up in pain). Here is were the tears come in, The date finally comes for this appointment I've been trying to get for the last 5 months. I arrived 10 minutes late, (because im in pain) am told I can't be seen. At this time I am in disbelief, So I make it known by words (non offensive in any way nor threatening words) but voiced words, because I voiced my dissatisfaction and disappointment police were called to escort me out by the same office staff that would not schedule me an appointment for 4 months. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. This is the most incompetent, unorganized, unprofessional doctor's office I've ever dealt with. When we went to their office things went smoothly, we took our covid tests and spoke to the PA about becoming regular patients. We set up appointments for a home visit, which we were extremely exited about only to be stood up. Our appointment was made for 10 am on a Wednesday and no one showed up, no call, nothing. Thursday came along and a woman called to "verify" our appointment for Friday. I explained our appointment was for Wednesday and her response was that they got busy, couldn't make it out to me so they scheduled us for Friday. Nice to know, wish someone had told US about the rescheduling. We told them we could not do Friday as we were leaving town and we'd call back to reschedule for a time convenient to us. A week later we received another call "confirming" our appointment for Thursday. Where they got this, who knows. We explained we had not made this appointment and to please stop calling us, we no longer wanted services. Fast forward to this week, I've been sick, all the appointments for covid testing are booked and none are available at retail locations so I thought I'd give these guys another shot. I was scheduled for this morning (no time, just in the morning), again, no one showed up, no calls, nothing. When I called to inquire about an ETA, at 2pm, I was told that they had no record of me and asked if I was a new patient. Then another lady came on the line and said she was the one that was supposed to come out and she had gotten a message about my insurance being out of network. What that has to do with my appointment not being honored, I don't know. They could have called me and asked if I wanted to pay the out of network pricing, which I would have seeing as there are not a lot of other options available to me right now. But instead I was ignored and pushed aside AGAIN... This place is horrible and couldn't care less about patients. Do not go here. You're better off at urgent care. read more

If there were negative stars I would give this company this rating. My father has dementia and was recovering from COVID. The doctor's that initially visited were kind and were able to spot a UTI. My complaint is against their business practice of lack of communication. I called to inquire as to when the providers would visit my father as it has been over three weeks. I go to my Dad's home to check on him and there is a UA container in a Ziplock bag and a strip of paper with their phone number written. No context, no follow up. I called to follow up and the front desk person relays that the team went to see them the day I called. I asked to whom they called to schedule the appt. They said me. I had not missed any calls. I asked if I could speak to a manager and they instead had me speak with a scheduler. I explained the lack of communication and my concerns. Instead of apologizing they attempted to pass the buck from nurse to doctor to scheduler. I will never accept this company as a referral for any reason. It appears they are deceptive and have not system of communication with patients. No Thank you. read more

The care we received has gone downhill fast. They started out good, but in 2 months the care level has DECREASED GREATLY. First of all, we finally got an MRI ordered, after waiting several days following a fall my husband had. The procedure was done last Friday morning (a week after the fall), and we still have not heard from the doctor! I have called countless times and was told today that Dr Marks has not even read it yet!!!! omgeee How is that care? After his fall, my husband was in a lot of pain. We called several times to have someone come out to see him (which is the service they provide). They told us to have a nurse from our home health agency come see my husband first then have the nurse report to them, which we did. The nurse believed nothing was broken but the pain continued, till he could barely get out of bed, and then only with assistance. We got an xray (nothing broken) but our home health nurse and our visiting physical therapist both recommended further evaluation. We still have not had anyone from Lonestar come out to evaluate him - and - all they did was have a Nurse Practitioner do a phone visit with us and tell us to go to the ER. (We wanted to wait for the Emergency Room until we had the MRI report and the doctor's recommendation, before getting anywhere near a hospital. We don't need COVID too.) There is so much more to tell - but trust me, you don't want to use these folks. They are just not reliable and it seems they don't care. :( read more

Very unprofessional. I needed an HCPC form filled out for my employer showing that I was sick during a specific timeframe. Sent it to them on a Wednesday, called Monday, and was told they would give me a call back regarding the information needed for the phone. Called later that day and was told the doctor wouldn't be in until Tuesday(the day it was due). Called Tuesday and went through the same process the first two calls. Called an hour after the second phone call and was told they'd call me after I got out of work at 8:30. No call that night. Called in the morning and was told I'd get a call in 10 minutes. Called again and was told the form was mostly done and the doctor would call to review it. Called again -all on the same day- and was transferred to a voicemail twice. Then I tried calling again and was hung up on twice. Went in person, skipping school to do so, and was told that the form wasn't something that they could fill out. After the deadline has passed. They sent me in circles and told me it was getting done, made the form past due, and now have done nothing to help my situation. I was in tears leaving the office yesterday because of how frustrated and angry I was over their unprofessionalism. Not going back after I get the form. read more
