Everything from the spacious rooms, to the outdoor courtyard and the therapy gyms, it's an amazing place to recover and get rehabilitaed. Our physician was Dr. M Yee, a brilliant, caring doctor, who worked relentlessly to find a cause and a therapy that gave me back my husband. Speech therapy was with Jacque. She is amazing and pushes her patients in the kindest way. Helping the other therapies in the process to ensure a well-balanced recovery. Reminding him always of the goals and reasons for all he was doing Physical Therapy was Elijah. He worked my husband hard but in a fun loving way. Kept him motivated and pushing him to further heights each session. Occupational therapy was Beth. Loving and sweet but hardworking, she taught us both how to work to make sure he continued to improve at home. Our caseworker was Michelle. Where to begin? She worked with all disciplines, was an intermediary between us and the CA, helping in what I felt went above and beyond in getting things organized and ready:,not only at Rehab but also for when we go home. They are not enough words to describe the care and concern that the doctors, therapist, nurses, CNAs, and staff had concerning my husband and his recovery. This was our second stay at Temple rehab for the same condition only this time they were able to find an actual cause for his lack of post- surgical recovery. His first time was surgically related but it triggered a secondary issue that Temple rehab has been able to Define and work with. We cannot express our gratitude and love for these people enough. Although the state wasn't perfect, any issues we had were dealt with immediately and solutions were offered and everything was resolved. I wanted to make sure that I covered everybody but when I tried to name off all the CNAs and nurses that were there for us it was all of them. We had no favorites because they were all favorites. There's truly not a bad apple in the bunch. They love their work, and they love their patients.

I've called multiple times and spoken to the billing department and after several months I still don't have a copy of the bill. One lady in the billing department said she would make sure we received no more calls from the collection agency yet they keep calling. I tried to call the billing department this morning and waited on hold for over an hour with no answer. The incompetence of this organization is unbelievable. Physicians who refer to this rehab hospital should find another rehab facility for their patients.

THANKFUL! After 13 years of dealing with my son's alcohol addiction I can honestly say he has…read morefinally landed in the right place for his recovery. This recovery center is completely different than any other that I have visited or been to for my son. The staff are the absolute best and truly are there for the right reasons. My first call to Touchstone was answered by Juliette and I immediately felt at easy. She was very honest with me and addressed all of my concerns. Let me say this.... if your loved isn't ready then it doesn't matter where you send them. However, my son immediately felt that he had made the right choice being there. He and his Dad were greeted by the owner, Debbie who was very friendly and answered any questions they had. She has been true to her word and not only is she the owner but also has been on the receiving side of addiction. She has been in our shoes therefore she is very understanding and supportive. Amber... the most friendliest of the staff is absolutely a blessing. She cares do deeply for all the clients and is there to help in any way she can! We attended a family workshop that was life changing. It was very intense, raw, deeply emotionally exhausting but so powerful. I witnessed many breakthroughs for families that were much needed for closure and healing. I highly recommend attending this workshop... you will forever be grateful that you did. My son calls every week and he has not had one negative thing to say about Touchstone or the staff. He is finally on his way to healing and being free from alcohol. I can't say enough positive things about this program. I will forever be thankful for everyone there and all the love and support they give! From the heart, Shelley from Georgia

An open letter to Touchstone…read more.. When a client onboards, they should see the psychiatrist as soon as possible, that way if the doctor wants the client to have a brain scan, they can get the brain scan in their first week at the ranch. The reason why this is so important is because with an understand of the brain scan the on-site therapists assigned to said client will have extra tools in their metaphorical toolbox that way care, can be tailor-made for the client. [Client Name] is obviously different, and the brain scan reflects it. [Client Name] was drug tested upon entry and tested negative for drugs but did admit to using drugs during his time at Touchstone, but you argue that clients shouldn't see the psychiatrist until after detox. It would appear to me that the psychiatrist was too busy to make time for appointments during [Client Name]'s tenure on your campus. This is my opinion as the therapist told me they would schedule as soon as the doctor came back from vacation. While schedules do sometimes fill up, if you boast to friends and family that you have access to a psychiatrist, have access! A psychiatrist cannot truly get to know a client with a quick thirty-minute zoom meeting. I do understand Covid has likely complicated or hindered the success of the doctor, but I would recommend looking into a doctor who has the availability that was promised. The offering of a psychiatrist is the reason why we chose Touchstone Ranch. Secondly, I'd like to inform you that while [Client Name] was on site did engage in sexual congress with another client. I'm not by any means a prude, but I know I very specifically told Touchstone that [Client Name] should be kept under close watch when in the presence of females. However, it appears obvious that was not the case; this was my one and only concern and it appears as though it fell on deaf ears. I do understand that your staff and therapists are not babysitters, but how can someone focus on healing and opening up in therapy if they are preoccupied by the possibility of sex? Finally, while I have no qualms with [Therapist's Name] or his level of care, it is my understanding that [Client Name] voiced his inability to trust [Therapist's Name], requesting another therapist and no action was ever taken. I do understand that [Therapist's Name] has the highest credentials of the therapists on site thus the pairing makes sense, however, were repeatedly unsuccessful, why continue? [Client Name] was an out of pocket client, no fuss with the insurance company, cash up front, if Touchstone had bothered to change therapists to even test if [Client Name] was willing to open up, he could have stayed on the ranch for an additional 15 to 30 days and been given the opportunity to have successful therapy. To this point, according to [Therapist's Name] the other therapists on staff did not feel as though they would have had any success in their attempts as well, but no attempts were made. I do want to add the caveat that I am aware that even in a group setting [Client Name] did not open up, however, not every individual thrives in group therapy. [Client Name] was especially unlikely to thrive in group as he knows he is a high functioning drug user. I would assume the bulk of the clientele may not function as high as [Client Name] does. I spent $13,000.00 and when my person exited your facility I was not given a duel diagnosis, a list of medications you placed him on, no referrals for outpatient treatment or care. When I picked up the client I asked to speak with the therapist who told me he and the other therapists entertained the idea of allowing him to see another therapist but decided against it, never giving the client the option to have successful therapy.

I did not meet one person there that did not offer me assistance or ask if I had questions. They took amazing care of my Dad. Medicare will pay for six more days at this facility. We were told if he leaves they will withhold a referral back to his home health agency to continue the Physical Therapy he was getting through them. They will not schedule transportation for him to leave. He is there for help transferring from bed to a wheelchair but everytime he is moved from the bed to the wheelchair they use a Hoya lift. PT said his blood pressure was 140 which is very high for him. He pressure is usually 90 & occasionally 115 did anyone come & see why it was raised no. Then I find out one of his medications, a hard solid pill is being locked in a refrigerator? The pill doesn't require refrigerating. The meals are less than eatible. I have only seen brown pumpkin pie when it is time to pitch it in the trash. Collard greens are not to everyone's liking & if you have kidney issues like most people you are told to stay away from dark leafy greens. They do not turn him to prevent be sores & I brought in a wedge pillow that is never used. I walked in to his room & they had turned the thermostat to 65. It was extremely cold. I had to put a note up that he keeps his house at 78 FOR HIS COMFORT. Long story, I could never recommend this place.
