I am writing to formally address the unacceptable conduct we experienced during a recent…read moreinteraction with your office management at Abilene Eye Institute. My daughter contacted your practice to express valid concerns regarding unprofessional behavior, specifically relating to groundless accusations of theft directed at us by your staff. Instead of addressing these serious allegations in a professional manner, the office manager chose to escalate the situation significantly. During this conversation, the manager made a highly inappropriate and discriminatory remark regarding my daughter's son being half-black. Bringing a child's race into a professional dispute is not only irrelevant but deeply offensive and speaks to a severe lack of character and leadership within your management team. This experience has left us feeling targeted, disrespected, and completely unwelcome at your practice. I believe it is vital for patients to feel safe and treated with dignity, and based on this interaction, that standard is clearly not being met. I hope this serves as documentation of the hostile environment being fostered by your current management staff.

After a frantic trip to the eye doctor to get an updated prescription, the doctor recommended Optical Express. I'm desperate, so I head over. First off, the staff is so nice! He answered any and all questions I had, and was very patient as I picked out some new frames. Their frame selection isn't huge, but they have a nice variety and I quickly found something I liked. My prescription is *terrible* so they didn't have glass in for my fancy transition lenses I usually get, but he offered to order in the lenses and offered to put in basic glass and switch them out when the fancier, thinner lenses were ready. He was very fast getting the initial lenses ready, said it would probably take an hour or two but only took maybe 30 minutes. They give you a glasses cleaning rag and a small bottle of glasses cleaning spray that you can get refilled when it's used up. All in all, I definitely recommend this place, and I'll probably be making them my go to glasses store in the future!
