I posted this same review on their Temple office as well because I can reach them at either…read morelocation. I believe the Temple office is the first and main one though. I cannot believe I am the first to review them even though I have been going to them for a long time and they have been open with the same name and address. I have been going to Conlon Tax for over 13 years now. Even though I am located in Grand Prairie, Texas, I still trust this place. Mary has always made me feel completely comfortable that my taxes are being handled correctly and I am not in fear of the IRS coming down on me. She used to work for the IRS so I completely trust her. We tried a local company that my sister recommended in between our time with her and unfortunately my sister was flagged for audit and had to pay back almost every penny she got extra.. Almost $10,000. It was a very painful learning lesson. Where was the local company that did our taxes? Closed and no where to be found... so I decided Fed Ex'ing my taxes to Mary in their Waco or Temple office was worth the extra expense to know it is being done right. We were told that if we were ever audited they would help us and I trust that Conlon would be. They have been open for a long time and hopefully stay that way. One day we will travel down there to actually meet her and say thank you for the peace of mind she has given me and my family. But until then, she will continue to receive my taxes via Fed Ex. Thank you Mary!!!

This is what a bank should be!! After been turned down for a used vehicle loan for $10,000 with a…read morecredit score of 803 at Extraco Bank in Woodway, where I had my commercial checking account for my business, I turned to the other bank where I keep my personal checking account which is Pointwest Bank. I haven't been a customer for very long, actually I had been a customer at Extraco for longer, and I have never borrowed money from this bank before, but I went to the branch Manager/Vice President who is Terri Lankford and she is so super nice and helpful. She explained that the value of the truck that I was wanting to purchase DID in fact appraise enough to borrow against, although that is exactly the reason that Extraco Bank turned me down. The loan paperwork was super fast and easy, and I had a same day decision to where it took Extraco 3 days to decline my loan. This to me was like old school banking where loaning money to customers is what there job is and it doesn't have to be difficult. There was no loan committee, no underwriting, etc. Just the branch manager caring enough about the needs of her customer. I'm sold on the service, and I hope that this review helps others make a decision on where to bank.
