We got there, and was very disappointed that they did not have cable hookup. My family likes to watch the news for the weather, plus i wanted to watch the last episode of Claim to fame which premiered monday. Anyways also we arrived and they put us near the lake, and we are a long trailer, and was concerned on where to park our car. So they moved us in a spot that worked. We also got a little refund as well. in the front, there is a general store, and they also sell sandwiches and coffee. On August 29th, i brought a lake champlain shirt there, and the people inside were very nice. Overall it is a small campground, and it does look like some kind of trailer park. However, it seemed pretty quiet and everyone seemed friendly that we seen. They also have a pool but did not go in the pool as it was kind of cool. Also there is not much things to do in vermont, including close by. Although we did stop by the blue paddle bistro. Don't think we'll visit vermont again, but this was a nice quiet campground.

The sites are spacious. Our dogs are right at home. There is a restaurant, store, farmers market, laundry ($1.25 washer/dryer), computer room, lots of books to read, pool, hot tub, rec room, etc. The list just goes on. Everything you could want and more. Also the beautiful huge lake. I've been sick this week or we would have been out on our kayaks! Highly recommend for groups, family get together. Electricity would not work but Dan, one of the owners, said that somebody must have tried to hook a…read more50 amp into the 30 amp. box. He went about a half block to check breaker said that it was not flipped but it was wobbling pretty loose in there. My husband is a licensed electrician and of course had his own my testing equipment. It showed 25 amp coming out of it. So he said move to spot 50. Well before we moved our vehicle we went down there and checked it and he took off before we could. And guess what the exact same problem. We did not even hook into the second one. So he proceeded to tell us that it was our equipment that had gone bad. Even though we never plugged into spot 50! I had planned on one night thank God! He did refund our $52. we had to drive down the road and try to find someplace else at 7:00 in the evening. Another thank God, the Walmart about 10 or 15 miles down the road would allow overnight. So we are now on our way to our next location which is about a 7 hour drive. We are just hoping that they did not damage our equipment. It has been extremely stressful if you go there you better watch out!

The owners are committed to improving the camp year over year. There are options from tent camping to very beautiful cabin camping. Showers and bathroom are as nice as you can expect in any national chain campground operator. WiFi is available near the bathhouse. Where do I begin, the name says it all. It is child free which means it is super quiet and so…read morerelaxed. We spent about 11 days in absolute paradise at this campground. All of the sites are charming in their own right and the access to the lake is wonderful, providing a truly stunning view and wonderful place to cool off. The owners take great pride in the property that they have curated, and it is evident in every inch of the campsite. The facilities are cleaned daily, firewood is available, and the owners are a wealth of local knowledge and insight. this is by far the best campsite we have ever stayed at, the tone set by the owners really does attract a certain level of campers that are respectful and pleasant, there was no loud music, late nights or bright lights blazing through the night. This is an absolutely perfect place to decompress and enjoy the scenery. We cannot wait to come back!

This is an amazing place to see sweeping views of the beautiful mountains and Lake Champlain. I imagine it would also be worth checking out at sunset. This is also a great spot for budding photographers. There is a small parking lot here, plus a couple of picnic tables. I'd say this is a must do for first time visitors to this fabulous city! Plan to spend 10-15 minutes here.

There's…read morenothing flashy or eye-catching here: the mini golf course doesn't have thematic obstacles, and the holes need a little TLC, as the turf has been roughly patched and is running bare in some spots. The bats at the batting cages are battered, and most of the clubs available at the driving range aren't from this century. But despite the need for repairs, this place truly does offer a fun spot for family and friends to gather for outdoor activities. Even though the hole designs weren't the most fun I've ever played, I enjoyed my round, and thought it was beautiful with the waterfalls, flowers, and greenery surrounding the course. On top of that, the girl working the desk was incredibly friendly and helpful, which made for an even better experience. Don't go in expecting the nicest equipment or facilities, but you can definitely plan to have fun here!

Amazing location on a quiet island overlooking the lake but only a short and beautiful drive away from Burlington, upstate NY, and a lot of the amazing spots of Vermont. The property has a lot of space, a lot of separation between cabins, fireflies, areas to sit and watch the lake, fire pits, bird watching, boating, fishing, pool table, table tennis, and a lot of other games. They have all the basics (mini fridge, coffee maker, charcoal grill and fire pit; one of them even had AC!) and there is coffee on site in the main lodge every morning. Breakfast is provided at an extra charge, though we didn't take advantage of that. The grounds are gorgeous, with comfy adirondack chairs at key points for birdwatching, stargazing, staring at the lake with morning coffee or evening wine. The beach was a little smelly (algae, perhaps, or mussels?) though there is nothing, of course, that the owners can do about that. They do have boats for rent, a canoe up through a pontoon boat. The other guests were VERY quiet (I hope they didn't mind our kid noise--no one said anything and everyone was very friendly). Our car had a little trouble and almost immediately a staff member noticed, offered us a jack so we could check things out--they are super attentive and kind. There's also a game room with some exercise equipment, chairs and floaties down at the beach, and more. All in all, a steal at the price, and a very pleasant, relaxing experience. We'll be back!

A easy and fun hike with a good reward at the end. A beautiful view of Lake Champlain from a…read moredistance! It's a 1.3 mile long trail, 2.6 miles total. It's not a really flat walk, but nothing too steep or difficult. Just enough to break a sweat! The parking area we were at had enough parking for maybe 4 cars. The road is a well maintained dirt road, not too pothole ridden but there were a few here and there. The road is also a beautiful walk, I would love to walk on it everyday if I lived here! I really like the forest itself, interesting but also calm and peaceful. Saw some squirrels and a few little frogs. A interesting flower, I'm not sure what type or if it was just dying? I took a picture of it! Come check it out and enjoy the woods for a little while!
