Great reviews on Yelp guided us to The English Bus for our tour of Stonehenge. I liked the idea of…read morea small group tour. We had a great experience! We easily booked on line a couple months in advance of our trip to Stonehenge, Bath and a Secret Place. I had a few questions, which were answered quickly through email. Instructions and itinerary were provided after we bought we tickets. Additional and helpful information was sent a few day prior to our trip. Noelh, our tour guide, was knowledgable, interesting and fun from the moment he picked us up in London. He provided information beyond the tour stops. He was engaging and had a good understanding of the geology of Stonehenge as well as the historical background. He made well time stops for breaks. We spent about two hours at Stonehenge, two hours at Bath and an hour at the Secret Place. The Secret Place was worth the extra and I highly recommend. Noelh offered a brief and interesting walking tour at each site and left us time to explore on our own. We were allowed to bring snacks on the bus but we didn't need them because we stopped plenty at places for food and drink. Noelh provided water. Bring water and rain gear. There were UBC ports for phone charging on the bus. The bus was very comfortable. Noelh was sensitive to a woman that was having mobility issues and arranged for her to skip part of the walking tour. I enjoyed Stonehenge and the Secret Place immensely, I was glad I saw Bath, but it was too crowded during our visit. Others on the tour really loved Bath. I highly recommend The English Bus tours.

We looked for an easy way to get out of central London on a guided tour that had great reviews and…read morewere lucky to find The English Bus! Andy was a great tour guide taking us to Stonehenge, Bath, and a Cotswold Village. We learned a lot along the drive from Andy and enjoyed the air conditioned, comfortable Mercedes that he drove. He was a very good communicator of information, with good humor as well, and kept us on time! If you like a smaller group tour experience I would highly recommend this business! Our tour had adults and seniors and everyone was pleasant and seemed to have a nice time.

Booked my first coach trip with them to enjoy Valentine's Half Term - The 4 Day Paris Tour…read more They seemed great when booking the tour and ensured every facility which then turned sour on the actual trip. Detailed review on the review centre and Trust Pilot website. When asked and made suggestions about improvements, the company got very defensive hiding behind excuses, making feeble apologies and left a what you would call bad taste in the mouth. I would suggest to get all your answers to questions asked in writing and not trust their call centre be it even minor queries. Overall, Star Tours UK used to be good and so used on a friend's recommendation who was surprised and embarrassed too but new cost cutting and poor response to critiques have made them a bad experience.

We…read morehad horrible 9 days tour with them where: 1) they were late at every stop, I mean every stop whether it was 15 mins bio break, 2) in bus, hotels, restaurants people speaking loudly in Gujarati, bring noise cancelling ear buds but even then your ears will not thank you after long 9-12 hrs everyday, 3) my son's seat was hit 20+ times from back and tour manager (Vikas) took other passengers side and was super rude, didn't even listen to our concerns, 4) I filed a complaint with their office but no action was taken (or we don't know what action was taken), 5) very cheap hotels, smelly carpets, squeaking beds, no AC or not turned on, 6) rest area stops on expensive Autogrill shops (must have some sort of commission), 7) cash only optional night tours, if you do not say yes, they will yell and sell very hard, some sort of hawala going on. We wanted to abort the tour but they didn't even give us a ticket back to London. Never ever book with these scam artists and very rude people. The only good part was the amazing driver (coach captain) and good overall food, rest was a trip to HELL!

David is an excellent local guide! He contacted me days before the tour just to confirm everything…read moreand answer any questions I had. He also let me know that the time was changing the night before our tour, which was very useful information as the hotel did not mention anything about a time change and we were not aware of it. David is very knowledgeable and shares a lot of information while driving to each destination. We learned about not only the sites we were set to see but also about the buildings, statues and areas that we passed along the way. We started our day at Hampton Court. David provided us with tips on how to make the most of our time there. We were able to explore on our own and then he picked us up for our lunch break. David had reservations already made for us at a cute restaurant on the river. We ate inside the restaurant and David stayed outside and was ready to go when we were done. The food and service there was excellent. We then continued to Windsor Castle. We were able to take all the time we wanted touring the castle and then shopped around the town afterwards. When we were ready, I simply sent David a text and he was there and ready to go in 5 minutes. We had a pleasant drive back to our hotel with great conversation. Ask him anything about the area and he will be able to answer with confidence. David is also knowledgeable regarding accessibility at the sites. My mom needed to use a cane that day and David was very patient and assisted her with getting in and out of the van. Additionally, we asked David about local markets to visit the next day and he provided us with information on several different ones. We went with the market he recommended and my mom had a blast walking around and shopping. Bottom line, we had a great time, we appreciated his service, and we would definitely book with David again.

I am pleased to do the first Yelp review for this tour! We…read morewere picked up at the agreed upon time/place by Graham. The van was a Vauxhall van with plenty of room. He is a friendly guy, and we were immediately put at ease. He showed us a couple places around Oxford to get our bearings and then off we went! Blenheim Castle was our first stop. It was jam packed that day because of a car show, but it was an added bonus to see all the vintage Rolls, Ferraris, and a lot of other cars. Gorgeous vehicles! The castle itself is stunning, and the Churchill memorabilia is very interesting. Graham knew all the stories behind the estate, and pointed out the things of interest. We also took a short walk around the grounds because it was a beautiful day. Then he took us to some nearby village for lunch. Best meal of the whole vacay! Afterwards, we drove to the Cotswolds and walked amongst the thatched houses. From there, he took us to another village where we got some candy and then we headed for home. He was very amenable to our schedule, very easy going, and knows the area well. We had such an enjoyable day letting him do all the driving. I highly recommend this tour!
