My best friend had recommended it, and she was right, it's a great base for actually experiencing the city, not just passing through. I looked at places in Palermo but the hostels there were way more expensive, and honestly downtown felt more central and lively than I expected. Classes were genuinely fun, lots of conversation practice, some games, and occasional outings where you actually get to know your classmates. I made a few friends I'll stay in touch with. The building itself is nice, but I ended up spending most of my free time on the rooftop terrace when the sun came out. Teachers were consistently good, and the staff were friendly and helpful from the start, it never felt like a faceless language school. Would recommend, especially if you're serious about putting in real hours and want to be somewhere with a bit of energy around you.

I was disappointed, I lacked confidence in them, and they didn't do what they said. They are bad at communication, so this may be tricky if you want to take an online class with them. I don't think they are reliable.

I chose to get one hour of private lesson the week before entering the group class. Although not necessary, it helped me get warmed up for the group environment and to make sure the school assessed my level accurately. My private teacher was Diane, who made my first hour incredibly productive. For group class, I had Maxi, who was super at adapting the class to fit everyone's needs and was very good at clearing up my questions and giving me a very practical understanding of the verb tenses in Spanish. I will definitely come back the next time I'm in town even if it is just for one or two hours of private lessons. They do also offer private lessons through Skype. I will say that, although they are setup to take students with no prior knowledge of Spanish, from what I saw, your time and money will be much better spent and you will have a lot more fun if you can do even a little prep with something like DuoLingo.
