All the office/clinic staff and teachers that I had encountered with were all AMAZING! I commend Mrs. O'Neil, Mrs. Doverspike, Ms. Dillon, Mrs. Doiron, Mrs. Johnson, Mrs Bonk, Mrs Covert, Mr. Diaz and Mr. Self for doing their job above and beyond. These teachers indeed deserves to be called TEACHERS! They have a big heart for children. And I will never forget Ms Letty in the office who had been very nice, accomodating and helpful since the first time I inquired in this school. Their principal, Mrs. Ramirez also is very friendly and indeed doing an awesome job in managing a great team in this school.

I believe her name is Coop (not sure on spelling) her tone when speaking to kids is unnecessary! "You!, sit here right now!" Treat kids with respect! I don't think fearing staff members is the way to go. Ms Mary is another one that does the same. I understand being firm when needed but this is how they speak to children at all times! The 3rd grade staff was beyond unprofessional, and went as far as to bully my daughter and another student. The principal was no assistance as he took his teachers side (to be expected in most situations) even after the teachers intentionally humiliated my daughter by excluding her from target time activities in retaliation for me standing up for her. My daughter was bullied by Ms. Glenn who even spoke poorly about my daughter to another student, when I brought this to the attention of the principal they attempted to claim she was "friends with the students mother and the student must have over heard a conversation" which wasn't true, since I myself was friends with the students mother. When my daughter switched to a school in Riverside School district she is very far behind compared to the other students, and hasn't learned a lot of things especially in math that kids in RUSD have already learned. The school caters to ESL kids and not anyone else. I'd stay far away from the unprofessional 3rd grade staff here and the principal who refuses to actually come to a solution for everyone, rather just makes up excuses for his teachers awful behavior.

I don't say this without having backing either..I dont recommend this school at all do your due diligence and research before sending your child here. My son has only ever missed two days of school and been pulled out once for a doctors appointment the whole entire school year yet he don't have a normal photo in the year book and name his different font and color like it was photo shopped in, ridiculous if u ask me as a single mom who has done everything to make sure my child is at school on time Daily. So many, I wish I could list them all... Principal and some staff has changed during my time here but everyone does their job.. The PTO opportunities here are amazing, we have the best PTO in the district from what I've heard. I was on board on and off during my 12 years here and the last 2 years i took on PTO President position, went out with a bang lol. Of course each year it changes as everything does. But overall, aside from personal feelings, thoughts or interactions Promenade is a great school, doesn't mean all 12 years were great, I had my issues too but overall what matters is my kids experiences and education and for that Promenade overall is a great school. Side note: I have been trying to get a promotion ceremony for 5th graders since I started here in 2007 and they just say they can't but all other school districts do, that was a big thing for me. Add on: I see a message about Mrs. Pitts below and I have to comment.. My oldest son had Pitts for 2nd grade (he is a senior now) and my daughter had Pitts in Kinder (she is 6th now).. I love Mrs. Pitts. she is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend her.. I know not everyone has same experience and I'm sad to read comments left about her and sorry but I do want to say she is a great women and teacher. I was so happy when she won't "Teacher of the year" last year. Please give her a chance. I also had 3 friends who's children had Pitts last year too (looks like same time the young child was in the class) and all those parents loved her. The principal lacks the temperament and professional skills necessary to lead a school community…read more She avoids parent engagement, displays a "mean-girl" demeanor, and consistently shows a lack of empathy. Her presence does not reflect that of a caring educator or a capable leader. In contrast, the office manager and counselor have a far stronger and more positive presence on campus. I have yet to meet a parent who feels positively about the principal, which is concerning. The communication issues families experience stem directly from the culture she has created. She appears disengaged and uninformed, and her leadership style is more suited to an isolated administrative role than a school environment. While the teachers themselves appear decent, her leadership is steering the school in the wrong direction. Being a new school with newer teachers, the campus needs strong, stable guidance... not the disorganization and disconnect that currently exist. I genuinely believe a new principal would dramatically improve the school climate. Unfortunately, that change does not appear to be on the horizon. Given the circumstances, I would recommend families consider a more established school until stronger leadership is in place.
