Jesse and David showed up late, and apologized. They went right to work, and did a beautiful job, removing all weeds and growth on the property. They were both very polite and professional. From the very start, he proved to be exactly the right person for the job. When we began the project, I had some ideas for what I wanted in my backyard, but nothing concrete. Calvin recommended working with a designer to create a detailed plan before moving forward with installation. That turned out to be incredibly valuable advice, as it allowed us to thoroughly map out our vision and ensure everything was in place before breaking ground. Once we had the plans finalized, we reconnected with Calvin to quote the installation. We chose him because his pricing was reasonable, and he was able to accommodate our timeline. Originally, we only planned to landscape the backyard, but after working with Calvin and seeing his dedication and craftsmanship firsthand, we quickly decided to have our front yard done as well. While it did require some additional waiting for space in his schedule, the results were absolutely worth it. What I appreciated most about working with Calvin was his approachable, yet professional demeanor. He communicated openly and thoughtfully about any changes or suggestions he had, always with a collaborative, no-pressure approach. You can tell he's deeply experienced, and that expertise really shines when managing the many moving parts of a large project like ours. If you're looking for a top-notch landscaper in the San Diego or Serra Mesa area, I wholeheartedly recommend Calvine Landscape. The quality of his work is something I'll enjoy for many years to come, and I'm confident you will too!

After finding Ricardo on yelp with his three reviews and calling him at about 2 in the afternoon that Sunday, he came by an hour later and gave me a super reasonable estimate. He was there Monday afternoon at the time we had agreed upon with a helper after giving me the requested 30 minutes heads-up call so I could zip home from my office. They worked for about 5 hours straight and did every single thing we had discussed the day before, exactly as I had imagined: Hedges, trees, grass, an overgrown walkway and yes, that evil pampas grass! The result was a a pristine front yard with everything he had cut down, chopped off and swept up loaded on his truck and hauled away. He even swept the garage floor in the short period of time that the door was up between me and my wife getting home... what a treat that was this morning (Wednesday) when I finally noticed it! He also gave me a reasonable quote for bi-weekly maintenance so I'm officially off the hook for keeping my yard in shape, ready to turn in my hedge trimmer.
