Excited to try this fast Mexican fare spot! A branch of Phil Sandovals, a quick counter order and grab a number. Variety of menu options from taco plates, burritos, and nachos. House Margarita was great, I'd love to try the cucumber. They have a diverse flavor menu for margs (seasonal flavors too)! We ordered the taco plates - two tacos, served with chips, salsa. Ceviche as an appetizer. The ceviche was just okay. Made with white fish, mango, red onion, lime juice. The salsa tasted like canned Campbell's tomato soup- yikes My tacos -fish : didn't enjoy, breading wasn't crispy but fish had nice flavor -carnitas : tender tasty street taco style Husbands tacos Birria - best taco I tasted great flavor Pastor - tasty street taco style Overall just okay I'd like to try other menu items. If you're looking for quick Mexican food this is the spot. A lovely patio for margs, they also have brunch I'd like to try

I stopped by Lola's Cocina having heard it was open. At 11:15, the restaurant wasn't very crowded. Inside is nicely decorated and I did see a TV on which is great for avid sports fans. They have one of those roll up garage doors and flies were buzzing. Their health rating was 96. If you are looking for a menu like Phil Sandoval's has, you will be disappointed. This restaurant is more of a taco, burrito and enchilada place. The taco plates come with 2 tacos, chips, tampico salsa and one side. NOTE: The menu says "TACOS & NOT TACOS comes with chips, Tampico salsa and 1 side". I ordered a #2 chicken taco and refried beans as my side and a #7 birria taco with refried beans as a side. Neither of these 2 taco orders came with the chips and tampico salsa. The lady taking my order told me chips and salsa came with the taco orders. Oh well, maybe another day. The chicken taco was shredded meat and came with a green sauce that had spice. Too hot for me. The meat was ok but very bland. I had hoped the salsa I was supposed to get would be like the salsa at Phil's but no salsa for me today. Chicken tacos 3/5 The birria tacos came with the dipping sauce and a small container of red sauce that was hot. Too hot for me. The taste of the birria was heavily flavored with cinnamon and I didn't care for the birria tacos. The meat was fatty and there wasn't much meat. 3/5 The killer guac was great. I enjoyed it. One red tortilla, cut in half to make 2 chips, was included. Really needed a second tortilla cut in half to really enjoy the killer guac. 5/5 Nachos with ground beef were excellent. They were so good I feel like the next time I order them, I will be very disappointed. Why? Execute at a high level today and less than that next time will be a buzzkill. There was cheese, ground beef, lettuce, pico de gallo, beans, sour cream, killer guac, and jalapenos. Yes, this was great. The nachos and killer guac were great. Nachos are 5/5 There is a definite learning curve here. I almost left without my birria tacos. They were left in the kitchen. I saw a young lady running around the parking lot frantically looking at cars and when she spotted me she came running. She asked me if I ordered the #7 birria tacos and apologized for my order showing up in the parking lot. I was glad she found me!!! This restaurant will get better as they work out the kinks. I do hope the great killer guac and nachos continue to be "great". Cutting back on ingredients or executing at a lower level will be a huge disappointment. The prices here are high. The quality of the birria is far lower than other places I have tried in Huntsville. I will return later to check out the killer guac and nachos. I can see getting orders of nachos to go for football games. If they execute great nachos, I will buy them. why would I buy nachos from here when I could make them at home? They have several proteins to choose from and not everybody likes the same protein. I would have to cook multiple proteins or support local businesses. I don't mind supporting local businesses! It's a win for all of us!!!

Family legacy I was intrigued but the food seemed more franchise base taste not traditional at all sadly.

I tried this establishment on an early super relaxed Sunday . I truly had high expectations but I think because I thought it was local cantina style eatery . Let's start with the positives, the server came over several times and checked in / on me.. immaculately clean including the bathroom , and location is on point. Now areas to improve: food quality was mediocre it truly lacked those core seasonings to awaken my palate ; especially since I ordered a breakfast burrito with chorizo.... The horchata iced coffee lacked that cinnamon punch! I think if more flavor is added it'll be supreme! Would I recommend yes.. are there areas of improvement on flavor definitely! I think I may go try something else and not give up on them! Plan a shopping day/date and give them a try! Feel free to let me know your thoughts....

Birria tacos

Nice dining area and outstanding service. We shared fish tacos and birria tacos, chips & house salsa, refried beans, esquires (street corn), and avocado fries. The batter on the fish tacos was a bit soggy, but the flavor was good. The refried beans were my least favorite item because they had a burnt aftertaste. Everything else was just fine, but not anything special. We'll try it again when they get more settled in.

Best fish tacos I've ever had in my life! And the watermelon margarita was sooooo good. Great service, love the atmosphere and the outdoor patio seating. Can't believe they also serve breakfast. My new favorite spot! I've already been here twice. It's a must try in Jones Valley!

I dined in and got a to go plate for my husband. I went at 11 am on a Friday and it wasn't too busy yet. I ordered at the counter and received a number and took a seat outside. They brought my order too me and everything was right. I enjoyed the Mexican pizza, it wasn't over the top amazing or flavorful, but it was tasty enough. My husband loved the birria tacos and charro beans. He said they were amazing and full of flavor. I will definitely give this place another try and check out other menu items. Service was great.

$8 ceviche with maybe 2 pieces of small shrimp in it. Can you say tiny?!

This place has changed since I first reviewed it, so might as well write an update…read more I have not come here for alcohol, but they do seem to have a fair variety of wines for sale, as well as weekly wine tastings. I am glad they have different coffee drinks nowadays, including espresso tonics, which have become my favorite for summertime. The food menu is small, but covers the basics. The space is nice and open, and I am glad they removed the red tint from the windows, makes it feel more relaxing now.

The staff here are about as hospitable and welcoming as a middle school teacher holding after…read moreschool detention. Sorority sister and I came to Charlie Foster's to get a glass of vino after dinner at El Caz. The majority of wine cellars/wine shoppes/wine centric places are extremely friendly, not tethered to a chair, and very engaging because, it's wine after all, and most wine lovers love nothing more than talking about wines! Rather than look over a wine list, I just asked for a glass of pinot grigio. The young man gave me the saddest pour I have seen in my life, again, in the requisite plastic purple Solo cup, and guess what this regrettable purchase cost me? $12.00. For a little more than double that cost, at about $26.00 I can get an entire bottle of Italian pinot grigio at Nick's ristorante, which is 4 *full* glasses!!!! Originally, I wanted to see what kinds of wines they had for sale; however, after this very transactional and impersonal interaction, I was ready to leave. I would suggest that management/owners train their personnel on wines and have them attend actual wine tastings with a sommelier and learn a few talking points about the various types and vineyards they represent. Staff should mingle with patrons to see what the person is interested in (would they like a dry white wine bottle to drink inside, a purple cup "to go," or several bottles for an upcoming event) and encourage things both that the customer prefers or is just outside the customer's comfort zone and peaks the patron's interest. I would also suggest they select staff who actually have a personality.

It was dark in there, I mean "turn your cell phone flashlight on to see" dark! I'd been in this store when it was a consignment clothes shop many times over the years and I complimented the super petite lady who was helping me on the makeover from retail clothes to retail wine. Inside is a bar that seats maybe 6. I don't recall a TV or any additional tables but then again it was dark. So dark I thought they were closedwhen I approached the door. There was a group of three sitting at the bar. It was absolutely pouring down rain on this Wednesday evening and I really wanted to make my purchase and pop. For additional background, I just got my hair done and my stylist recommended this shop saying he had been several times: once with his Mom and one other time and really liked their pizza, remarking the "wines are a little pricey." I know exactly what I'm looking for and they really didn't have a giant selection of Pinot grigos and certainly not in terms of varied price points. I asked for an unoaked anything and she had nothing in that category either. Hmmmmm. She pointed out some nice wines ranging from ~18-22$ and up. This is more than I usually spend. I inquired about the (very standard in almost all area wine stores and universally standard really) 10% discount and she texted her boss and he/she said "no." I thought not offering that was weird, but I just said, "okay." Weird because it is so standard and weird that the young lady working there didn't know their policies. Then the boss (he/she) said "yes" to the discount. Interesting shift. She was kind enough to carry the case to my trunk in the pouring rain with someone helping her. I never saw a food menu. The patrons were not eating. Maybe I'm the Christmas Prude; however, I just don't enjoy hearing the F bomb dropped loudly in others' conversations. Pretty sure I heard a worse explitive, too. Maybe too much "ho ho ho" went into the patron's wines? Who knows. And I wasn't offered a taste of any of the wines prior to purchasing them. Nor did the clerk offer to order ANY of the wines I was looking for which another sophomoric move. Isn't the idea to have repeat customers? Another fairly standard practice in wine stores. I can't speak to the food, and pizza and flatbreads are not my personal go to items food wise. If you're looking for a wine bar in this area, I would recommend the Church Street wine store in Providence. If you are looking for what appeared to be an extensive selection of champagne (but zero prosecco options) this would likely be a good place for that. Since the couple who own it are really highly lauded for their personalities and wine knowledge and friendliness on Google reviews, maybe I just picked the wrong evening to stop in. Honestly I don't see myself going back, I can get a nice unoaked chard at Target a block away for $20.00 and a decent champagne at Target for around $50. Oh, and the parking lot is super tight in this strip mall. Especially if you park on the west end like I did to have my car loaded. It's tough to navigate just a standard sedan in and out of there.

Seriously tough call on the rating here. I think I'll settle on a 3 but it was super close to a 4,…read morejust several minor frustrations added up. I came here with one of my best friends who was home for Thanksgiving to have a girl's day out. BeeZr advertises a nice-looking brunch on the weekends so we thought we'd try it out. She wound up not being able to meet until later in the afternoon but I'm not opposed to a late brunch, so we got there around 1. It was a gray and dreary day on Thanksgiving weekend, so I get it being slow, but the restaurant was literally empty except for us and the servers. We joked it was because we'd rented the whole building to treat each other. The vibe is...fine inside. It definitely looks and feels more like a brewery than a restaurant, with large equipment and a sort of dimly lit atmosphere and a few large TVs by the nice bar. They have a small patio on the square which is REALLY lovely and definitely would've been my preference if the weather was nicer. Our server was okay. He was soft-spoken and not unpleasant, but did sort of have a knack for appearing at inopportune times during the conversation. I get that it's not always possible to avoid, but a little more discretion would've gone a long way, especially since we were the only ones in there. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner. My biggest frustration was definitely the menu and item availability. I pre-read it and came knowing what I wanted (bananas foster French toast) only to discover that they were running a limited Thanksgiving weekend brunch menu and therefore it wasn't being offered that day. The first thing my friend ordered also wasn't available. I had my heart set on brunch so I asked for the breakfast burrito instead. Our waiter had to go check and make sure the kitchen could do it. Turns out they could - yay. But then I asked for potatoes to go with it -- and there were no breakfast potatoes available. I went with fries instead. When my burrito arrived at the table, there was no salsa or sour cream, which was supposed to come with it. Any component part of this experience is not a HUGE deal, but it all added up to be rather disappointing. My friend got the bulgogi tacos, which came in an order of two sort of small tacos. She liked them and said they were really good. She also got first a French mimosa and then a classic mimosa; I also had a classic mimosa. Both were generic but enjoyable. My breakfast burrito was decent, but I really missed the salsa and sour cream. The bacon inside was cut into tiny crunchy pieces, which I liked. The eggs were cooked very well but needed more salt and pepper. I enjoyed the bright burst of peppers and some were even a tiny bit spicy. It was a large serving but I wish it came with some side item instead of me having to order one. The side of fries was generous and they were really good -- super crispy but still fluffy inside. I thought the bill was a little high for 1 mimosa, a breakfast burrito, and fries -- almost $40. The burrito alone was $18, which seems like sooooo much for a brunch entree with no sides. Idk. Maybe I don't do mid-scale dining enough. Overall, I thought the quality of the food was solid enough that I'd consider returning, but I'd call ahead to see if they had what I wanted to avoid frustration.
