Loki Coffee is one of the most popular shops in SLC. They are very passionate about coffee, make a great cup and are always busy. This shop is arguably the best shop in Salt Lake area. The coffee itself comes from specialty beans being brewed by super talented baristas. Pricing on this shop is fairly normal, considering it is a highend shop. I love stopping by because their baked goods are made by Mims bakery and Tomodachi, which are both fantastic. These aren't just frozen baked goods defrosted for a quick snack, but actually worth visiting for by themselves. A perfect compliment to a great cup of coffee. The shop itself has a ton of seats, but they are quite frequently occupied. Expect a busy shop, and if the weather is great, the patio will also be full. The decor of the shop is a little more modern and "clean" with simple design. Plenty of great light, open seating, and a good cup of coffee, are a recipe for a great day. read more

Went to Loki to grab a quick bite after leaving the airport. I was immediately drawn to the matcha lavender latte with jasmine foam. I love jasmine flavor so much and I have never seen a matcha with this flavor. It was delicious and not too sweet. The jasmine flavor was strong but not overpowering. It was super delicious and I could chug like 100 more of these haha. I also got an avocado toast and it was delicious and I loved the type of bread they used. I would say it was a better than your average avocado toast but nothing spectacular. The cafe was busy and I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly I was served for both my drink and food. It was great! There's also tons of seating both indoors and outdoor and I loved the casual hangout vibe this place had. The service was super friendly, and my food and drink came out fairly quick. This was my first visit, and my food and drink were just okay, however I did not try coffee this time. The quality seems good, perhaps just not the style or flavors I prefer or am used to. The shop is cute and clean, and was quite busy on a Wednesday at 9am. Most of the seating was taken, but I was able to find a seat for myself at the large communal table in the middle. There is also some outdoor seating available. I would come back to try the coffee when I'm in the area. Spring Blossom Milk Tea with Jasmine Peak - 4/5 - A pretty good and light drink. The green tea and jasmine flavor weren't very strong, maybe a little watery, and it wasn't too sweet. I wish the flavors were a little more bold. 91 Gordon - 3/5 - The sandwich had very strong flavors that did not complement each other in my opinion. I think it was mainly the pickled jalapenos, which I usually like, that threw everything off. They were really sour and vinegary, that did not pair well with the peach sauce and cheese. Went here finally! I went around 1pm on a Monday and it was PACKED. Everyone is there working, on calls, studying etc. it has a great vibe to it, lots of seating inside as well as a big outside area! However all of it was filled as well as people standing around. I got a dirty chai with the banana flavor. My friend got a lavender matcha. Both were great and very earthy flavors, not basic products. I could not really taste the banana in my drink since the chai had a lot of flavor to it. I've been here several times now and have had a great experience every time. There's always a little bit of a wait and it can be pretty difficult to find seating because of how busy it is, but imo their food and drinks are worth it! My bf and I went end of September and I had the avocado toast and he had a smoked salmon lox toast. His salmon lox was a little light on toppings, so I gave him some of my avocado, since my toast was generously covered! It ended up being a pretty good combo lol. I also had a specialty fall drink with fig jam on the rim and it was delicious. Apparently it was created by their very own barista! Although it's not on the menu anymore, I feel like any of their seasonal/specialty drinks are a pretty safe bet, and I hope they bring that drink back next year! Ambiance is clean, open, lots of natural light, and natural wood colors with some lovely plants for sale as well. Overall highly recommend a visit! When we stopped by on our way to skiing in Park City, they were setting up a Valentine's Day event in the cafe, and had fresh flowers available for sale. Service was prompt and friendly, and while our drinks and croissants were good, they weren't anything special. Wow this place was poppin but I can totally see why! The place had a great selection of drinks and pastries as well as lots of cozy indoor and outdoor seating. Great place to catch up with a friend, read a book or grab your breakfast to go. I had the iced hojicha honey cinnamon latte topped with black sesame peak. It was really good but I did wish it was a little bit stronger hojicha taste to it. I did like that I was able to get all the flavors in every sip though. Pastry wise we had the scallion pancake biscuit which was moist and not too scallion-y, and the corn cookie (it was a bit too sweet) which reminded me a little bit of a sweet corn tamal. Staff is there to take your order and keep the line moving so it doesn't get too long. Would love to go back and try other drinks they offer and maybe grab another pastry to try. read more

I love the decor and atmosphere of this place. The wooden features, their own machines with their name brand and the outside patio to sit on. It's very dog friendly. I will say it can get a bit loud inside so it wouldn't be a great place to study, read or do work unless you have headphones or earplugs on. The coffee is also very good too. The latte selection is great and the chai latte is excellent. I had an espresso tonic that also was very good. It was an Asian centric espresso tonic with i believe yuzu or something with an Asian fruit accent. The staff was very nice and very knowledgeable about their food and drinks. The first thing I noticed coming into the cafe was how bright and full of light this cafe was. I ordered a Loki-lo which had an interesting mix of flavors. Somehow it tasted a bit too chocolatey for my preference but still delicious. I was taken aback because of the cashier. I approached friendly and she was friendly but kind of standoffish in her response. It made me not want to ask questions or make conversation. Service was quick even though there was a big line. By far... Loki has been the best coffee shop I've been to in the SLC area. I really really enjoyed their banana turon latte (they make their syrups in store and you can really taste the banana bits)! How did I miss this coffee shop every time I'm in Maven District?! This is seriously now one of my fav coffee shops in SLC. You can find parking in the streets. There are ample outdoor and indoor seating. I enjoyed both settings. Clean restroom and place. All of the staffs are always friendly and helpful if you have any questions about their coffee and menu. I loveeeeee that they have the "Iced Baby Latte" on their menu! When I walked up on a Saturday morning to meet a friend for coffee, I walked into a large group of people gathered for a run. They had upbeat music playing under a tent setup for check in and snacks. This was an organized event-which has nothing to do with Loki except that it was my first impression. It must be a cool place for this many people to gather. I have been here three times now, always around 10 AM on a Tuesday in the summer. It is always completely slammed! I can only imagine what the weekends are like. This is a fantastic place, but be prepared to compete for a table with mobs of people on laptops or moms with babies (I'm in the latter category lol). The employees are SO nice and friendly. As a non-coffee drinker I don't necessarily always want a chai, and they always give thoughtful recommendations. I highly recommend the hojicha; I didn't think I would like it but took the risk and now I've gotten it a few times. I went to a Cakes by Edith x Loki Coffee cake decorating class and had the best time!!! This was my first visit to Loki coffee and I am already excited to go back. It is such a beautiful and welcoming space! It's very open but there are still plenty of seats inside and outside on the patio. I loved their drink menu as it had the classic coffee shop "requirements" plus some of their specially curated drinks. They have multiple events a month like coffee tastings, food truck pop ups and launch parties so it is definitely worth checking out. The staff was welcoming and don't make you feel rushed if you can't decide what to order. You should think of them as coffee connoisseurs. They radiate positivity that is infectious. read more

The employees were super friendly and patient as we decided on what we wanted. We ordered two bagels (Asiago & everything) which were the perfect texture and toasted nicely. Both lattes we ordered were also perfect, not overly sweet but still had a great flavor profile! I also ordered a chocolate croissant which is from a third party bakery, it would pretty good but kind of burnt on the bottom.
