Lokesh Reddy has been an astonishingly thorough PCP for me and I have two examples that demonstrate it. 1.) In the spring of 2020, I became violently ill- a cough that led to vomiting that occurred between 5-10x a day. Dr. Reddy worked methodically and diligently to get to the source of the problem. I met with a gastroenterologist, a pulmonologist, a neurologist (I have MS), and none of them could find an issue. Dr. Reddy then became convinced I was having an environmental issue and sure enough, we discovered an HVAC duct had been so badly constructed in my bedroom that I was inhaling dust that made me very, very ill. I was able to fix the issue.
Example 2. Two weeks ago, I got Covid and it was recommended by a doctor friend of mine that I apply for monoclonal antibody therapy. Dr. Reddy wasn't well educated in what this was and to his credit, he listened to what I knew, got off the phone, called my friend, did his own research and submitted an application to two programs on my behalf. I'm happy to report one of them accepted me and after receiving the treatment, I was able to break a fever for the first time in 9 days. My doctor friend called Dr. Reddy a unicorn, as it is not often you find a physician who's humble enough to spend time learning all with the goal of making me better.
