Jim Pescatore's Home Improvement had come highly recommended and when we hired his company to…read morereplace our roof and to install 3" round vents under our eaves, we felt confident that the job would be done properly... but over the past year, as I watch one after another of the vents fall out of the eaves, because they were not installed properly (1 inch pieces of black electrical tape used to hold them in place and no silicone caulk or fastener of any kind)... It worries us to think that corners were cut on other parts of the job and that we will have new and potentially more damaging shortcuts surface in the future... We have reached out to Mr. Pescatore and have not heard back from him or his company... Now we have to hire someone else to redo the vents properly...

We called him after New Years spoke with his secretary left a message and then a few days later left a message on his answering machine, he has never called us back to even let us know he wasn't interested or he wasn't going to do the job. I had another contractor willing to do the job but told him never mind because Jim said he was going to do the job. I would be leery of using this contractor and good luck getting him to return your call! At the least he could have been courteous and let us know he wasn't going to take the job. Buyer beware don't give him any money unless the job is complete!

Be very weary of this contractor - we signed a contract to get X amount of work done, some of it…read morewas done properly but quite a bit was done improperly, not completed or not done at all. The contract specifically states the work would be completed in 3 weeks & it's been almost 3 months; it also states that final payment will be due upon completion, well, not only is the work not completed but I'm having to hire other people to repair or finish the uncompleted work. This contractor has been harrassing me to the point of having to report him to the police for harrassment and now he's threatening to sue me! think twice before hiring this contractor. It's better to pay a little more & hire someone who's experienced and has good work ethics.

Unfortunately, once they were up, John concluded that we would be unhappy due to the way the fabric was hanging and he didn't hesitate to tell me this. He was right of course, and he offered to set things right by redoing the drapes. The whole process took much longer than anticipated but we are really quite happy with everything. I'm not sure I would have said anything if he hadn't have beaten me to it; considering the number of vendors and contractors I've dealt with over the years that prefer to pretend nothing is wrong when something is obviously wrong, it was very gratifying to work with someone who was honest and fair.

It would be less of a headache due to the poor quality of product and even worse customer service. The original blinds that were installed were defective. They, when I finally got in touch with them, agreed that the blinds needed to be replaced, and the fabric factory offered them free fabric to complete my new blinds. Instead, they used the old fabric and installed something that looks like it was sewn by an 8 year old. The man who installed them, Brian, took a picture to show how terrible the blinds are. That was the last I ever heard from them. I called, emailed, and even sent a certified letter. I have yet to get a response. At this point I am going somewhere else.

When we called to book an appointment, they were available and prompt on the day of the appointment. At another time, our furnace was down and they were out quickly to diagnose the issue. They were speedily and available at all hours, especially when an emergency arised. They found the issue our furnace had. Thankfully, the issue was resolved by them and the furnace and heat is currently still working. Since it's winter, it's crucial that we have heat. Overall, the service provided and the value has been great and I highly recommend them.
