Just horrible.
I wanted to see what the local bike shops were like so - when I needed a derailleur cable replaced - I dropped it off at Loisirs VTT.
First surprise was the time required to change a cable (at least a week) but I was in no particular hurry so I didn't worry too much. if the service was good it would be worth it to know they did good work. I was told that I would get an SMS when the bike was ready.
Second surprise: I was quoted a price of 'about 30 euros', being 3 euros for the cable and about half an hour of labour. Half an hour to change a cable and set up a deraillieur? Seems excessive but it's SRAM and I would be happy to pay if the service was good.
A week later and I hadn't heard from them. Ten days after dropping it off and I decided to call - it was ready, but nobody had bothered to tell me. Pretty poor service...
Time to pay and it's time for the next problem: the price has jumped from 'about 30 euros' to more than 50 euros. Why? Because changing the cable and setting the deraillieur took an hour. Really.
I questioned why I had been quoted 30 euros and the end price was more than 50. The guy behind the counter (the manager/owner I believe) did nothing more than check the addition and explain it took an hour. A shrug, then a demand: was I paying cash or card?
To summarize: slow service, no follow up when repair was finished, an hour to change a cable, quoting prices 70% under what they would eventually charge, and not even caring enough to explain why it took twice as long as they thought it would.
