The Greek Temple Monument War Memorial is 124 feet in diameter and consists of 16 large Doric columns. It was constructed in 1922 to commemorate New Jersey's contributions during World War I. A nine-foot-tall bronze statue of "Liberty in Distress" by Frederick William MacMonnies is displayed inside the memorial's rotunda. The statue depicts a naked Lady Liberty holding a dying male soldier while draped in a French flag, and it rests on a five foot Vermont green marble base. The statue's base is littered with shattered weapons and other remnants of battle, and Liberty is depicted crying out to the sky. It is a perfect outdoor paved path to walk your dog and look at the marina and the Absecon water channel. You can walk for about 2 miles round trip taking in the nature of AC all the way to the Borgata and the Golden Nugget (neither are dog friendly). Along the way there is cool artwork and sculptures. Access the path from Harrah's Brigantine entrance and be sure to bring baggies and water. Our photo looks hazy as we visited during the forest fire at Wharton State Forest.

It was easy to work with John arranging logistics for the trip. His boat was clean and his mate (Mike) is a professional experienced fisherman. Mike picked a great spots for trolling and shared his experience with us as we caught fish. I was very happy he cleaned the fish too!! We learned about the local wildlife, both animal and human, plus he shared recommendations for a great spot to hydrate and another to chow. Both of us had a great time and recommend booking a trip with John anytime you are in the area.

I ordered a Nucanoe Frontier 12 on May 14th and was told that it would be 3-4 weeks or less...most…read morelikely 2 weeks. I paid in full and West Creek Kayak and Canoe said that they would contact me when it arrived...5 weeks later and nothing. No call. No e-mail. No update. So I call them today to ask what's going on...and it turns out that they NEVER EVEN ORDERED IT!!! I have a receipt and yet they never even called to order the kayak!?!? This business must be in trouble because they sure remembered to take my money!! So now summer is half over and I'm left with nothing plus I have to wait another month for it to arrive?!? The guy I spoke to and ordered from on May 14th (Glenn) had an awful attitude and offered no apology. In fact, everyone in this place talked down to me. When I asked how or why this happened, they just said nothing. Dead silence. They tried to give me a used kayak until the other one arrived. I told them that I wanted a new one like I ordered and so they just tell me that they ordered it TODAY for me. That was it. At this point, I was done with them. I'm not giving them my business. If I have to wait again, then I'll order it elsewhere. To be honest, as much as I like this Kayak and the Nucanoe brand, dealing with the young guy from Nucanoe today was awful too. He just wanted to blame West Creek Kayak and kept cutting me off. They work together selling Nucanoe products. SOMETHING could have been done to make this right. Customer service from the West Creek Kayak AND Nucanoe SUCKED today. I'm thinking of another brand just because of this one experience. It's a shame too because Blake from Nucanoe was great every time I contacted them and I was excited to use this product. Oh well. Long story short, I called the credit card company and got my money back. AVOID WEST CREEK KAYAK AND CANOE AT ALL COSTS. If this is the way that they do business, then they won't be around for very long.
