I do have an issues with the cashier or baristas, for someone reason they find it enjoyable to ignore you when you walk in and keep talking to someone who clearly was just talking. The vibe is off when you walk in they are always standoffish. I'd recommend going to their other location downtown and ignoring this place. The baristas are always with an attitude that they don't care or simply it's a day job. I get it, but please acknowledge that people walking in and make sure you are greeting them. But this is the second time that I've come to this location and both times I've been extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, the only saving grace is the coffee.

Their latte was coincidentally poorly constructed with no espresso flavor at all. *In response to Nick- The Latter-day Saints don't call themselves Mormons. For Latter-day Saints, partaking of the sacrament (communion) is one of the most sacred and special moments of the week. Worthy young men who hold God's holy priesthood say a special prayer over the broken bread. The blessed bread is passed around on trays so that each member of the congregation may have a chance to partake of it. The same process is repeated as the water is blessed and passed. Blessing the water makes it HOLY. I suggest all stay away from this place until its name is changed.

My friends...if you're a coffee lover looking for an exceptional cup inspired by the coffee capital…read moreof the world, Perch is your place. I found Perch in a roundabout way as I was waxing poetic about the coffee in Melbourne, Australia where I just spent the summer months. Someone had heard about this 'Australian-inspired' coffee place just down the road from where we work. After 2 months of daily Melbourne Magic, I came back ruined for other coffee. Melbourne is known for being the premier coffee capital of the world. I won't get into it here with the Italian enthusiasts but look it up. There's a secret sauce to Australian coffee...specifically a mana called the 'Melbourne Magic' (if you know you know...if you don't, you're welcome) The Magic was introduced to me by a legendary barista and owner of one of the oldest coffee houses in Melbourne. The Magic is a Melbourne icon that's rarely ever on the menu...you have to ask for it like you've been given the password. It's aptly named for the way it's pulled to eliminate bitterness and acidity, and primarily deliver the crema of the espresso drip. Don't be misled...this isn't your Caramel Vanilla Latte...the Magic is DARK coffee. Emphasis on DARK, rich, straight shots of espresso in a little mini 5-6oz cup compared to what we're used to here. But if you like your whiskey straight, and your coffee unadulterated, the Magic will be your new love. I beelined it to Perch as soon as work was done and it did not disappoint. The Magic is on the menu. Try it and thank me later!

The atmosphere was really cool, and I was looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, the service completely changed the experience. I ordered a mocha and specifically asked for extra, extra, extra chocolate. It came without the extra chocolate, so I politely asked for more. I had to go back a second time because it still wasn't right. Instead of simply making it how I requested, the employee commented, "That's like half a cup of mocha," which felt unnecessary. I wasn't asking for an opinion I was just asking for my drink to be made the way I ordered it. When you're spending $22 on two coffees, that's not an unreasonable expectation. My boyfriend and I also noticed two women playing pool and asked if they'd like to play doubles. Before anyone even responded, the employee behind the counter yelled over, "Hey guys, it's $4 per person." I said, "Okay, we'll pay after," but he then went on to tell us it was a "$4,000 table," as if we'd suggested otherwise. The whole interaction came across as rude and made us feel unwelcome. Charging $4 per person for a single game of pool also seemed excessive. It's unfortunate because the atmosphere has a lot of potential, but between the high prices, disappointing service, and feeling unwelcome, I won't be coming back.
