A short list of issues (from a very long list!) includes continuously responding late to my lawyer, lying on the paperwork that they drafted so my lawyer would have to spend more time (and more of my money) to get them to correct items like my birthdate, income, etc. They dragged things out so much, which I assume is a tactic used to milk their clients for additional hours. Our divorce took almost a year longer than it should have! At one point I had to go their office to retrieve paperwork that they were legally required to submit by a timeline- when I arrived they only printed a fraction of what we were supposed to. Again and again this is how they mismanaged our case. And now, a year after the divorce has been final and they still haven't submitted the paperwork properly to the courts for the dispersion of the pensions (QRDO's). After leaving multiple messages, I finally received a call back from the office who then preceded to connect me to him for a meeting over the phone... he got on the line and literally screamed at me and hung up! So incredibly rude. It is because of his offices mistakes that they continue to cause these issues. I didn't request a phone call meeting with him- all I want to know is where is our QDRO in process!? 2 of the 3 QDRO's are completed and filed in the courts. The 3rd one is just floating in their dysfunctional and disgraceful office. The entire system of divorce attorneys is a complete and utter sham, taking advantage of people who are already struggling thru one of the most difficult periods of their life. This office is inept at representing their own clients, and lacks any sense of decorum. Please save yourself the time, energy and money and find another lawyer that may still rob you, but maybe at least they'll treat you and your soon to be ex-spouse with bit of respect or common decency. Regardless of us filing for divorce- we were married for 30 years and have 3 children together. The least a respectable attorney could do is treat all parties respectfully. Absolutely disgraceful.

The attorney that handled my divorce and first child custody case let my ex-wife and her lawyer walk all over me and gave them whatever they wanted. Tim was the opposite. He took the time to meet me and my son's maternal uncle (his mother's brother) before he would even accept the case. I thought that was awesome because in reality he didn't know me or whether I was being honest in bringing a custody motion against my ex-wife. He does have a regular startup fee but asked me if I could afford it. That made me realize he is not motivated by money unlike my previous attorney. Tim was always prepared for court and never laid down and accepted what my ex-wife and her attorney wanted. He really cared what happened with my son and was a true advocate for him. I believe Tim was such a great representative for me and my son because he is such a compassionate and empathetic individual. He would spend hours preparing me and my witnesses before each hearing to try to ensure that the outcome would be in my son's best interest. I know he never charged me for all the time he would spend on my case. I don't know if this is a regular practice with Tim but I truly appreciated this because I am just a simple working class man. I feel the need to point out that Tim is an honest lawyer. I realize that lawyers often get a bad rap and most lawyers are considered dirty but Tim is not among them. He is a devout Christian and it shows. He feels that what he does is in service to God and families. I value this characteristic even though I am not a Christian and do not have the same religious beliefs. He has earned my respect and friendship for how he represented me and my son. Because of this, I have contacted Tim a couple of times since he originally represented me when I have a legal question. He would give me advice and my options over the phone and I would ask him what I owed him and his answer was "nothing" because he feels he was giving advice to a friend. I later called and a secretary told me this is common practice for Ms. Sendlebach -- she will charge you for a consultation and then ghost you if she decides she doesn't want to take the case. Honestly, I feel scammed out of $650. She could have just said she wasn't taking new clients and I would have gone elsewhere. Or if she said during our conversation that my case seemed too complicated for the time she has open, I would not have continued sitting there talking to her about my case. This is a very stressful time in my life, and I would not recommend using Ms. Sendlebach until she changes her policies.
