WORST building in the entire city of Miami, and quite possibly the state of FL, or even the United States. Where to even begin.... 1. Was promised an upstairs pool by our realtor, only for the pool to be closed the entire year I lived there. I was not told this until I ARRIVED at the apartment and since I moved here from Chicago I moved in sight unseen. 2. When we moved in the apartment was INFESTED with cockroaches which they tried to charge ME for despise them being there from day one. 3. The fridge ice machine was broken, the dishwasher and stove were infested with cockroaches. The stove would also frequently stop working and we would need to flip the circuit breaker. 4. The ONE pool that was open was consistently dirty, debris in the water, and no maintenance of the pool area in general. 5. The 7/11 in the building is constantly full of shady characters, someone was shot there and a 12 year old girl was molested. 6. They refused to allow my boyfriend to have a fob to the apartment despite us HAVING 3 fobs and one of the fobs not being in use anyway. 7. For the last 2 months I was there the fire alarm would go off. All day. Randomly. For TWO MONTHS. 8. The front desk staff was incredibly rude at all times. 9. There were multiple times packages would go missing for days including my contacts which I need to SEE. There was never an apology or even an acknowledgement of the inconvenience. 10. Getting my money back has been absolute nightmare, they managed to "forget" about a 1200 deposit that was made, and I've had to threaten legal action to move things along. (I did get my money back on the exact last day to get it) 11. Never ever ever ever live in lofft 2 read more

Nice tall building located in the middle of downtown with a parking garage nearby and a public parking on the streets around it too. I went to visit my friends and they guys working in the front desk were so nice with me and helped me out. I loved the carpet on the hallways' floor. It's a stripes carpet with different green colors and also impecable.

I love our building. Okay, so management isn't perfect but compared to how this building was being managed 6 years ago there's a significant difference. The use of the elevator needs some work, I find it inconvenient to be restricted to bring in delivery Monday-Friday only. Elevators are always breaking down, especially on the East side. Overall, building is kept clean. Plenty of amenities to enjoy including two pools (one of which on the rooftop), gym and club room (includes pool table and lounge area). Staff is communicative and tend to report issues or updates by email. Renee, who is part of the security team really goes above and beyond in making sure we don't have any loiterers around the building. The tenants are a mix crowd and love that it's a pet friendly building. The Loft II is in a great location - walking distance to restaurants and to Bayside/Bayfront or take the metro mover right around the corner to travel your way through downtown or Brickell. Parking garage is located across the street and from the 3rd floor and up it's reserved for Loft residents. If you want to see change don't just complain, join the board meetings and do something to make it better. So far they've been open to residents concerns and suggestions. The board is working on bringing some changes to vamp our building and provide additional amenities. We shall see! read more

So far my experience here has been mediocre. First of all the application is a stupid shit show. $100 so they can run your background check, plus $200 so someone can sit behind the computer and type the information. 2-As they have many applicants, they can't seem to figure out how to organize all the people moving in and out. There are often trucks parked in the front of the building because they can't park inside. 3-rules of the building are outrageous. Around 30 pages of things you cannot do. One of them says that I have to attend an orientation at least 14 days before moving in. That to me would mean hop into a plane, attend the orientation, and go back to Chicago. It blows my mind how awesome this rule is. 4-internet. OMG, internet. I moved from Chicago where I lived in a much smaller building and I used to pay $15 for 15MB of internet. Here, outrageous ~$50 for 5MB. Free basic cable TV though. Isn't that awesome? Who watches TV nowadays anyways? I'll update my review as the time goes by. I have high hopes for this place. read more

I lived here for 10 years and I have to say that the current management is worst we ever had. Melissa Dias, the property manager is unprofessional, arrogant and disrespectful, she likes to act as she is the owner of the building instead of an employee paid by the residents of it. People working at the front desk are very nice and helpful, I think any of them could do a better job than Ms. Dias. She does not take phone calls or want to speak in person with residents when we have a problem in our units related to the overall maintenance of the building. This building was made in 2008 with cheap materials, and 10 years later we started to notice that all pipes are flawed, causing leaks and malfunctioning AC units. Her mission is not to take responsibility for any of that and try as much as possible to make us paid for repairs of problems that are not even caused by us. She gets very aggressive when it comes to money to be spent on their side, so she will ask you to do unnecessary repairs in your unit because supposedly you are causing a leak to your downstairs neighbor, to just later find out that the cause of the problem never was at your unit. Yes, that's the sad truth... she won't even apologize or make any kind of comment about it. So if you decide to buy a unit here, be aware of this. read more

I *love* this building. These are condos, not apartments, so the units are individually owned. Our first landlord was not very good, so we are moving to another unit in the same building. The units are completely open (no walls), which I adore. Modern kitchen, stainless steel appliances, polished concrete floors, it's fresh. The management staff is great. Yosdany, one of the managers, stands out among the staff and has always been very helpful. The security is also very effective. We've had to call down on a few occasions due to neighbor disturbances and they were very efficient (within minutes) in handling the problem. The staff also daily hoses down the sidewalk due to the numerous pets that use the sidewalk. Location is also stellar. Quick access to the mover, I've cut down my driving to 2-3x a week because everything is in walking distance. Yes, you are in downtown where there is a large amount of homeless people. After a while, they do learn who you are and leave you alone. After being here for a year, they rarely ask me for money, although I still get a comment here and there when walking my dog. I have never felt unsafe or in danger, even when walking home at 4am from Grand Central. Cable/Internet (fiber) is exclusively HotWire which is very expensive compared to other providers. Basic cable is included, though. The management is a bit disorganized, although, they seem to be taking measures to improve. Phones (other than the front desk) are rarely answered and voicemail is rarely returned. I've found the most effective way to get a response is via email and daily follow up. The association approval process IS expensive. $100/per person for background check, $200/move in fee, $200/pet fee, $500/elevator fee, $200 extra if you plan to move on a weekend, plus 1 month security deposit. They take about 3 weeks to turnaround the approval, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time. Also, make sure you rent your elevator as soon as you get your rental offer approved. Maintenance is also a bit disorganized. For example, the upper pool closed at the end of March with intention of re-opening within 2 weeks, it finally re-opened June 12th. The gym isn't well maintained, a lot of free weights go missing on a regular basis and the saunas rarely work. They do send a LOT of emails as well, sometimes for crap you don't really care about that is happening in the area that has nothing to do with the building (ie, meeting people who are running for commissioner). Also, elevator maintenance has been severely lacking. Recently, we've been down to one or two functional elevators out of the 4 in the main lobby. Overall, for the price, location, and amenities, this is a stellar building. I would recommend it for young professionals or young families. read more

Great building in the heart of downtown Miami. Many amenities, two great pools (one overlooking downtown Miami), pool table, and an amazing gym. Management is a pleasure to work with and have been very helpful on our first few days as owners here. There is one parking space per unit conviniently located accross the street. Water, amenities, basic cable and hot water is included in the maintenence. Soon, they will also include internet and valet parking! This is a great building for young professionals and young couples. read more

I continue to be impressed with the promptness and thoroughness of the oversight and management of the front desk and maintenance department. Every time I see them they are working on a new project improving the building. I see Melissa Diaz, the property manager running around as if the building was her priority at all times. Getting to know the staff is like extending your family. They are so attentive. Melissa Diaz and her team care about this property and she makes sure that our investments are taken care of. In the 5 years she has been here with the continual improvement of the team, I have witnessed countless improvements to the property, staff, and the quality of residents. We are a work in progress... After all, Rome wasn't built in a day- but we keep moving forward. read more

Love everything about the Loft Downtown II. The location is prefect if you want to be in the heart of Miami. As an owner i feel the management team has gone above and beyond making sure the residents are happy and everything is running smoothly. Kudos to the property manager Melissa and her team for everything they do. Too often people just write reviews when they have a negative experience and no one takes the time to send praise. So Thank you Management and keep up the excitement work. Every single person working on property is a pure joy and make your brighter. read more

The street address of the Loft 2 Downtown is actually 133 NE 2nd Ave. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are nice, but close at 6:00 PM EST, 7 PM EDT. Saunas and showers at the rooftop gym are disabled. The gym equipment is often out of order. The dog that lives above us urinates onto our balcony and management won't solve the problem. The cable TV is Dish Network, and many of the channels have interference making them unwatchable, plus the whole cable stops working during heavy rainstorms. The freight elevator must be used for furniture and must be reserved weeks in advance. Bad management is the problem. read more

I've been living at The Loft II for about a year and I have to say that for the young, up and coming professional, there's no better place to be. The condo is situated in the heart of Downtown Miami where the vibe is electric. There are lots of fun things to do around the area like concerts, free yoga, city wide initiatives and places where locals and those who are visiting get together and have a good time. When you enter the building, the first impression is one of freshness and modernism. The place is always impeccable and the front desk staff greet you with a smile and boy, do those guys look sharp. They are all very helpful and resourceful. You immediately feel a vibe of progress and the music is always the best and puts you in a good mood. The cleaning staff is always there to help should you have a difficulty at the moment. The maintenance department is ever present, always renovating and doing something to make the place even better than what it already is. They work hard, you can tell. Now that I mention working hard, I want to mention something that happened to me. I have a pet, and one day, I was outside and my pet relieved itself on the area where the plants are. Not too much time passed when I received a warning letter for having done something incorrectly. I went ahead and spoke with the ladies in the office who gave me their full attention even though they are always around the building or in the office busy, busy, busy. I highly appreciate the minute they gifted me to apologize for something that I did incorrectly and I commend them for always being alert and on the lookout for those who commit infractions. That comes to show you the attention to detail, the dedication and their commitment to making this building a safer place to live. read more

*POTHEADS POTHEADS POTHEADS*!!! The entire building reeks of weed and it's so bad it gets into my apartment to the point it smells as if they were smoking inside my apartment!!! Management does not give a crap about solving this issueor any issue for that matter. The cable company sucks so much that we now don't have cable since it was pointless to pay for a service that never worked. Everyone has a dog and I love dogs but the entrance to the building always ALWAYS smells of pee. Honestly I cannot wait to move out. I have a 3 year old child and do not feel this place provides a safe environment for us. If you're a pothead and will enjoy being stoned every day, then the second hand smoke won't bother you and this is the place for you. Otherwise, run. read more

The grimiest of the "luxury" buildings located in downtown/Brickell. The place has a terrible reputation of tenants dealing in illegal substances and tenant pet owners who allow their pets to relieve themselves in the hallways, lobbies, other public places and generally non-existent third party management to the point where the front desk supervisor takes it upon himself to call himself "the management" and the building, "his building", which anyone can see through as an ego trip. The guy, Yasdany, is childish, aggressive, unprofessional, and should not be in any position of authority or customer service. Building management does not ever return calls and only responds by email after multiple emails and calls. The elevators show inspections expired in 2014. Despite rigid policies to fine tenants for guest use of entry cards, the security indiscriminately doesn't check IDs of those entering the building. The binder of rules presented to tenants are the association's attempts at controlling the rodeo chaos resultant of third-party management motivated only by the quick revenue of fining tenants while a 30-year-old stable boy plays lord while his masters are gone. read more

HORRIBLE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT. You pay $300 to wait 10 business days for them to run a background check. Then must attend an orientation that is scheduled only twice a week before they will even think about letting you schedule a move in day. The concierge and security guards are all rude. If you are relocating from another city go ahead and look elsewhere especially. Minimum 1 month before you can even think about possibly stepping foot into the building with keys. Don't even think about furniture. LAZY MANAGEMENT read more
