She called without hesitation and addressed all of my inquiries. Later in the week, I easily scheduled my appointment through their user-friendly website. Ashley and Sean arrived on time and took the time to understand my grooming needs. My dog is quite large and has long hair, so they explained what to expect during the grooming process and got to work in their mobile trailer. They spent about three hours grooming my dog. Throughout the whole process, they were professional and communicated with me via text. When they brought my dog out of the mobile salon, she looked amazing, smelled incredible, and her fur was soft. I was very pleased with the work that Ashley and Sean did. They are both knowledgeable and took the time to provide me with tips on how to maintain my dog's long coat. I hesitantly decided to give this groomer a try for the convenience, despite seeing some pretty concerning reviews. Unfortunately, I also ended up having a very poor experience. I paid over $100 for a service advertised as being 1 hour long, thinking my cat would get an excellent deep cleaning, but was only serviced for 15 minutes before she rushed off, and it showed in the results that this was sloppy, rushed work. I understand she had to skip blow drying because my cat was nervous, but it takes 5-10 minutes to blow dry a small short haired cat. Servicing us for just 15 minutes when I paid over $100 for 1 hour of labor is highly unprofessional and disrespectful, as is she as a person. She decided to confront me over text and make excuses for her actions. After telling her to please stop texting me, she continued to disturb me with yet another nonsensical message from a different number, all of this because she cannot simply admit that this was a matter of false advertising on her part. I would implore her to try acting like an adult and take responsibility for her own mistakes, instead of reacting with such rampant emotions and defensiveness. I have had my dog for over 10 years and nail trimming has always been a nightmare for me. I have tried clipping, I have tried those rotating nail files, I have even tried putting saran wrap with peanut butter on my head to distract her while I clip but I always end up spending an hour or more just to get most of her nails trimmed. My dog is the sweetest thing; but seeing her put her ears down and whine and pull her paw away just tears at my heart and I know she hates it so much I tend to give up; it is traumatizing. The worst is the few times I have cut too short! I have full on cried probably half a dozen times in the last decade over doing that. Because of this, I haven't even attempted it in the last few months and it was getting bad. My husband saw an ad on social media for a pop up mobile groomer and suggested we try it. I was anxious because she is a short hair dog and I have never had any problem bathing her and goodness knows she loves her daily brushings so we have never been to the groomer. I did not know what to expect. Ashley greeted us right away and could tell exactly what we were there for. She asked us if we preferred to hold our dog or if we wanted her to just take care of it, but this being our fist time, we had no idea so she told us just what to do. My husband held our dog while she clipped away and the whole thing was done in like 2 minutes! I could not believe it. She knows what she is doing. She did nick the quick on a couple of toes but my dog didn't whine or even flinch and she wiped the toes with antiseptic right away. I had her on my lap in the car a few minutes later and she was just fine. We took her for a treat and to the park as a reward. Response to groomer: Not once did you ask for the breed of my dog prior to the appointment. I would have gladly told you and you have no breed restrictions listed. I also did make you aware that we have used muzzles in the past and that our previous groomers have always felt safe and had no issue putting a muzzle on him to cut his nails. I told you that he has never bit ANYONE so I'm not sure why you would say otherwise. Please tell me how I have had two experienced groomers cut his nails regularly for the past few years and not once has had his quick cut or had any issues? This was the worst encounter I have ever had with a groomer. You are not experienced and I would not trust you with any animals. I will have no issue finding a better groomer as the bar is now set pretty low. Good luck to you and your future customers. NOT recommended. She cut my dogs quick twice and it was bleeding intensely. I wish I ended the appointment sooner. She's very unprofessional and makes rude comments. I have my dogs nails cut regularly every 5-6 weeks and have been since I've had them, this has never happened. I understand an accident but twice and bleeding everywhere? I would not recommend this groomer. I won a 100.00 certificate that this groomer donated for grooming at a function in Elk Grove. As soon as I got home, I got on her webpage, looked at the services she provided and scheduled an appointment via her webpage. The price for a 0-30 lb. dog, short cut, no hand scissoring, would be 100.00. I wrote in the comments section that I had a 100.0 gift card. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to schedule the appt. within a couple of days because my dog needed it and was happy to try this grooming service. The next day, the groomer canceled my appointment. She texted me, indicating she wouldn't be in my area (Elk Grove) on that day. She said she would be here on Tuesday, but we couldn't agree on a time on Tuesday so that was fine. She indicated her next available day and time that would work for me would be about a week later, so I scheduled it then. I asked her if she saw, when I originally scheduled the grooming, that I wanted to apply the 100.00 gift certificate that I won towards the grooming. She said she did not and asked if it was from the crab feed and I said, yes. She said she would apply it towards the total and I would be responsible for the remainder of the grooming. Since it was a 100.00, I was curious how much more I would have to pay, so I asked her how much the service was going to cost. She indicated it "Starts at", "125.00 for a full-service haircut". At this time, I am wondering how much more can a 15lb Shih Tzu be charged for a haircut and also, it didn't say anything about 125.00 on her website. She said the reason why we say, "start, is because if the dog is heavily matted it does take longer which costs more due to time". She then indicated to come to Elk Grove, it would cost an additional $50.00 travel fee and that is indicated on her webpage. It is NOT located anywhere on her webpage. My dog was not matted, she just needed a trim because the hair on her face was getting in her eyes and needed to be trimmed. With the 100.00 gift card, the 50.00 travel fee to Elk Grove and the fact I couldn't get a straight answer about how much the service would cost, because by now it appeared the grooming was going to cost well over 175.00, before a tip was even thought of, so I canceled the appointment. I explained that is going to cost way too much for the grooming of a 15lb dog to be groomed. Ashley became very rude as she said, all the outlying areas she services with lots of clients don't mind paying the travel fee for "AKC safe certified Groomers to come from Lodi.", "I'm sorry if we're not in your budget or that you only signed and obviously didn't read the terms of service or the description that was in the service when you originally signed up online, that's on you". Today we had our Husky groomed - It was the first day where her allergies kicked in and is on antibiotic maintenance - It was OK'd to have her groomed. In the first hour at 12:25 the dogs grooming began - At 1:33 and hour into the grooming Ashley informed us that our dog had phlegm and dry cough - I explained she has allergies and is on antibiotic maintenance. An hour later at 2:34 Ashley again by text conveyed her displeasure about not being notified of a "sickly" dog and how this causes problems for others. She explained "it's like sending you kid to school sick, with a runny, stuffy gross nose." I understood what she was saying but the remarks continued - After paying Ashley $378.69 (she charged for extra cleaning of trailer) she said she would not treat as a customer anymore because of cancellations and rescheduling. What ?? We rescheduled only once with well over a two week notice. I have requested proof. I understand Ashley is a small business woman but customer service and treating your clients with respect is paramount to a successful business in Lodi. I would not recommend Ashley purely on her poor and unsensitive attitude - BE sure you don't reschedule or cancel and call you groomer first if dog is sick - Ashely said she should no first before vet ! BEWARE OF BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I SHOULD HAVE READ THE YELP REVIEWS.... To begin, My cat has had a problem with matting of her fur this past year so I called my vet and they recommended lodi grooming to me. I scheduled online via Ashleys website and received a text from ashley confirming details. All seemed well. Her response was fast and great! Then I received an abrupt text at the appt time stating she had to cancel the appointment because my husband and mother In law who were home to bring the cat to her mobile grooming van were apparently stressing my cat and couldn't get her in the cat carrier and brought her out to Ashley's car in a blanket (granted, not the best move on their part and I understand the need to have the cat in a carrier). ... and ALSO TO NOTE MY CAT OR ANY AVERAGE CAT WOULD BE STRESSED TO GO INTO A CAT CARRIER...ANYWAY, I was confused by the call I received from my husband regarding their encounter with Ashley and basically stating how rude she was. I told him she left and let me know via text. She did not have the decency to go knock on my door and tell my husband she was cancelling. And leaving. She also included in my text that she could reschedule and get the cat for me and put in the carrier next time if needed... which she could have told my husband .. at the appointment instead of acting repulsed and rude. So I dropped it because my husband and mother In laws report of her rudeness and the fact she just drove away with no communication with them. Then I get a 54 dollar charge from lodi grooming ...I then ask her to reimburse since she did not provide services.
