I didn't know exactly what to expect, but hypnotherapy isn't what I thought it would be. It's basically like a guided meditation that is specific to your issues. It's very relaxing and I remembered everything. Michelle helped me with sugar cravings. The treatments were not immediate but over the course of a few it has made a big difference. I no longer feel driven by sugar cravings. There were other things that shifted for me also, things I didn't necessarily even tell her about. It was a good experience and I recommend Michelle. read more

I've had 4 hypnotherapy sessions so far and the results are phenomenal! I have been able to avoid sugar to a large extent and to be much more mindful about eating so that I don't feel compulsive anymore. Michelle has also helped me work on my grief after losing my mom. Going into trance is such a beautiful and calming experience that it really helped with my sadness. It's amazing how much hypnotherapy has helped with those emotions. And lastly, we have worked on helping me get more organized. I've just finished cleaning out a closet and all my files and all my office paperwork. What a huge relief! I had been avoiding it for months! I highly recommend going to Lockett Hypnotherapy for any of your therapy needs. It is highly effective and you will really enjoy the experience. read more

I've gone to therapy before for help and hopefully some guidance and peace of mind from my worries, and everyday anxieties. I would just end up being prescribed something for depression/anxiety and sent on my way. After 4 sessions with Michelle... This is so cliche, but I had a breakthrough. I feel different, better; like I have a clean surface where there was once a mess. I am so happy I made the decision to try something new. Hypnotherapy is not what you're most likely thinking it is. Even if you're the slightest bit curious, go in for a free consultation just for more information on the process. I don't think I would have ever gotten the results I did anywhere else. I'm so grateful. read more

If you have any type of insomnia or sleep issues, I recommend that you reach out to Michelle ASAP! Her practice has generated quite a bit of interest so there may be some lead time before your first appointment but it is worth the wait. Before my visits with Michelle, I had been taking prescription sleep medications for a couple of years and started to feel the need to keep increasing my dose. Instead, I came across her business on Yelp and decided to give it try. I am so thankful that I did! I saw immediate results and have not taken a single sleeping pill since our first session. That's what I consider a life-changing event! In addition to sleep, we worked on stress and anxiety which has also had a really positive impact to my daily quality of life. I wish I had found her sooner! Thanks, Michelle, for doing what you do! You truly have a gift! read more

I was lucky enough to find Michelle online having never tried hypnotherapy before. On my first visit she was professional, warm, friendly, nonjudgemental and knowledgable. She explained how hypnotherapy works in a simple and easy to understand way and made me feel confident in her abilities. I've worked with her for 5 sessions (so far!) and 4 of those sessions were focused on getting over a pretty emotionally traumatizing event that took place when I was 16 years old. It affected my relationships with others, my relationship with myself as far as self love and self worth and not feeling that I deserved good things in my life.. I am incredibly happy to say that those 4 focused sessions seem to have completely changed the way that I view this event. I no longer have the same negative connotations with the event as I used to, and that those deeper issues are closer to resolution. I feel that I can move on and am no longer held back by what happened in any way. Michelle helped me substantially in 4 weeks with an issue that I carried emotionally for 12 years and I will never be the same because of it! Thank you SO MUCH Michelle!! I am excited to continue to use hypnotherapy to benefit other areas of my life! read more

I wanted to try this after a significant weight loss to see if she could help me with sugar addiction and a couple other food related issues. Michelle is VERY KIND, if you watch the video on her website, she is EXACTLY as appears, so many times you encounter someone from an advertisement and they are so different. I'm so thankful I tried this and met Michelle, she truly is a wonderful lady and VERY good at hypnotherapy, I was comfortable immediately and thru each session. she's very calming and has a very relaxing voice. If you are considering it, TRY IT. I highly recommend Lockett hypnotherapy Thank you Michelle! read more

Follow Up Review: Just want to put this out there for any skeptics that may be hesitant to try hypnotherapy...it's been over a year and a half since my sessions and I have ZERO recurring issues with the problems I had Neal help me overcome. I was worried that I wouldn't have long term success but I am thrilled to report that I have been happier and more emotionally healthy than I've ever been. I've had family and friends over the last year compliment the fact that I no longer have the same emotional hang ups I used to and how much happier I am. This is all the proof I need to vouch for the positive impact hypnotherapy can have on someone's life. I can feel it, my loved ones can see it, it's valid. It works and is worth every penny. read more

Meeting Michelle for my initial visit I immediately felt at ease in her presence and felt comfortable divulging my reasons for wanting hypnotherapy. She explained in detail how it worked and how it can be helpful. After my first session I was sold. I saw and felt results immediately. I was almost in shock at how well this was working for me. Since then, I've returned for several other issues and been completely happy with the outcome. I cannot recommend Lockett Hypnotherapy enough. read more

Michelle is amazing! I immediately connected with her and waited until she had an opening as I just had a feeling and I was right. It was worth the wait. I went in to work on overeating, a sugar compulsion, and to decrease my anxiety and have a better sexual experience with my wife. What a difference. Michelle truly cares. I've lost another 15 lbs. and I don't crave sugar hardly ever. My sexual relationship has gotten a lot better and I now have some tools I can use from my sessions to help when needed outside of therapy. This place and Michelle are so helpful and more importantly effective. I highly recommend. read more

I've been seeing Michelle for several weeks now and I couldn't be more pleased with her work. Didn't really know how well hypnosis works and how well it could make me feel!! I feel like a new person who is now free to live and enjoy my life, husband, daughter and my current pregnancy. She's got the most soothing personality! Just entering her office makes you feel that everything is going to be all right!!! Aside from working wonders, she's the sweetest person and was always open to my sometimes challenging schedule. Thanks Michelle for being so awesome and helping me be and live the way I want to live :) read more

Michelle helped me connect with my inner knowing- and pave a better understanding between my conscious and subconscious selves.

I saw Michelle earlier this year to get help with ongoing struggles with social anxiety and procrastination, and had a fantastic experience! Michelle is an extremely relaxing person to be around. She is warm, inviting, and completely non-judgmental. They hypnotherapy itself is not at all what I imagined (i.e. you won't end up clucking around the room like a chicken), and is extremely relaxing in and of itself. And, I think it actually works. After just a couple of sessions, I experienced pretty fundamental shifts in the way that I saw and approached life in general. I saw a notable change in how relaxed I felt dealing with people, and definitely had a much easier time getting things done. It's now been almost a year since I first saw Michelle, and about six months since my last session with her, and I cannot recommend her services highly enough. My life has fundamentally changed for the better, and I'm considering a couple more sessions with her to deal with some other issues. Give it a try! read more

I recently had 4 sessions with Michelle for my anxiety and panic attacks. I am so pleased with the results. I feel so much more calm. It's a blessing. I am completely organic so I wanted a solution where I didn't have to put chemicals into my body to feel normal. I can honestly say this helped me out so much! I was so worried at first because having anxiety does that to you, but she made me feel so safe and I can't thank her enough! read more

Michelle is amazing. I can't recommend her more highly than I do. Hypnotherapy is a really valuable tool for accessing and healing our minds. Michelle understands the complexity of the conscious-subconscious dynamic of the mind, and she has a great skill for opening us up to let our minds heal themselves. Her personality and demeanor are soothing, calming, and accepting. When my first child was born, I had a bad experience with labor and delivery. Although my son was soon healthy and we were able to take him home a few days after his birth, the experience I had left me anxious and traumatized, despite the fact that "everything turned out fine in the end." I suffered from post-partum anxiety, which I eventually worked on in therapy once I realized that's what was going on. But I also had panic attacks that could be triggered by certain conditions, and which persisted even after I started addressing my PPA through therapy. When I became pregnant with my second child, being pregnant again and anticipating the birth (in a positive way) also caused me to deal with a lot of fears and trauma that had been left unresolved from the first time. There were periods when I was having panic attacks nightly, and they were so terrifying that my fear of another attack was becoming its own trigger. On one hand I loved my life and growing family, and was excited and happy. On the other I was terrified and haunted by these panic attacks. There were horrible. I was desperate. My doctor mentioned hypnotherapy, but at 30-some weeks, I thought, "how will I find someone, get scheduled, and get in in time to get anything done?" But my attacks were so frightening, I started reaching out. I'd gotten doulas to help me through the pregnancy, and they immediately recommended Michelle. Her schedule was packed but, upon hearing about my situation, she worked me in to every opening and cancellation. I will never forget our first phone call, when we discussed our plan and she mentioned that many people see significantly less panic attacks after 6 sessions, and some stop getting them altogether. I was floored. I choked up. I didn't know I could be completely rid of this beast on my back. I had been feeling like they were something I'd have to live with for so long. We scheduled an aggressive plan - twice a week for the few remaining weeks until my due date. I saw changes in myself immediately, and my full-blown panic attacks came with less and less force. Then one night I woke and my mind thought - well everything feels like I would be panic attacking, but I'm okay. I can just go back to sleep. In the weeks before my baby came, I grew calmer and more at peace and in tune with myself, and my second birth experience was amazing. It wasn't a walk in the park - labor was intense and delivery was insane - but emotionally and psychologically, I had been healed in ways I hadn't thought possible. Michelle and the hypnotherapy she guided me through literally changed my life. They changed how my mind handles certain situations and the control over me my panic had. Check her out - she might help you change your life too! read more

I began seeing Michelle for help with some anxiety I was experiencing as well as unhealthy cravings, I believed as a result of exhaustion with a baby. It truly, and literally was a sensational, almost instant different with seeing her. It couldn't have been more than a few visits before I felt worlds better. I looked forward to going so much. It was this incredibly peaceful, transcendent hour to myself in such a relaxing space. My mind felt lighter, my anxiety was better. I slept better. I felt more balanced. I suggest hypnotherapy to everyone now. read more

I am a long time believer in the art and usefulness of hypnotherapy. When I decided it was time to get some help with my weight loss and recent separation I googled and yelped for a local hynotherapist. When I saw Michelle's picture I knew I had an instant rapport with her and we hadn't even met yet. From my first email with Michelle I knew I was going to be a winner! She is warm, understanding, an excellent listener and gifted at her therapy work. I am seeing amazing changes in myself for the better. Weight loss is going gang busters and putting my old, bad habits aside is so easy with her help. My self esteem is soaring and in general I am 1,000% happier. I can't say enough positive things about Lockett Hypnotherapy. My experience there has been life changing. Michelle is a wonderful hypnotherapist, who is attentive, understanding, and walks along side you, in order to reach your goals. I initially contacted Michelle to help me set better boundaries in my life and cope with anxiety. Within a few short sessions, I started to see large changes in the way I was interacting with people around me and my anxiety was diminishing. There is something about Michelle's listening that is profound. She is with you in a way most are not. Hypnosis was truly easeful and freeing. I always felt like my time spent was worthwhile even if in the moment it felt unclear how it would provide more freedom and/or clarity to not participate anxiously in my endevours. But as the days between our appointments unfolded I would notice fluidity and ease that wasn't there before. I didn't have to "work" on letting go or "being better" about behaviors, they just we're not there as much and the angst about certain things dissipated. I was more free to move around in my life & make choices that served me. It is truly quite magical (it's actually quite scientific) how it seems to penetrate and move. What a gift to work with Michelle in this way. It is truly her calling. read more

Michelle is wonderful and I cannot recommend her enough! Not only is she warm and welcoming, she makes you feel very comfortable during your session and has such a soothing voice. Loved my hypnotherapy experience with Michelle! She has a natural and easy way about her that makes one feel peaceful and at ease. She is very intuitive. Pre hypnotherapy she made sure to ask questions about my goals and the issues I was having and addressed them all during the hypnotherapy session. I was able to experience the greatest amount of peace I have ever experienced during one of my sessions with her. I highly, highly recommend her services! read more

Prior to my session with Michelle I had not experienced hypnotherapy, and didn't know what to expect. Upon first meeting Michelle she was warm, kind and welcoming. The room was also very calming. I felt comfortable immediately. She explained the process prior to hypnosis which I really appreciated. She is an experienced professional. Michelle guided me through the session and her voice and presence are very soothing. During the hypnotherapy I felt so deeply relaxed in my body, it was a wonderful experience. I received this session as a gift during my final weeks of my pregnancy and feel the experience helped center and calm me when giving birth to my daughter. I would highly recommend Michelle and her hypnotherapy services! Five stars!!! read more

I chose to visit Michelle to prepare for the birth of my second child. I was experiencing insomnia and anxiety, and I had some fears related to the c-section of my first child. Michelle developed a plan and timeline for visits. I started experiencing relief from the insomnia and anxiety after just a couple of sessions with Michelle, and these positive results compounded with each following visit! Results were quick, and I feel ready for baby number two. I can't thank Michelle enough for helping me deal with and move beyond my fears and anxiety. I recommend her often and will continue to do so! read more

Michelle does the best work. Starting with making hypnotherapy approachable and easy to harness. Her office is both professional and comforting. She has a through and rapid in take process which makes the best use of time. I appreciated also her ability to harness technology ( like for payments and appointments) and the ease at which I experienced relief. Through her skilled use of the technique, I was able to find immediate (day one) relief from my symptoms/challenges and experience positivity for situations and people I had previously only negative, stressful, and anxiety inducing emotions. Michelle is simultaneously positive, empathetic, and professional. read more

Michelle is wonderful. I was very very skeptical at first, but I was hit with a absolutely horrible season of depression and anxiety. I had low grade depression before but nothing near as bad as this. I was desperate. I went to the Doctor, got on medicine, took CBT classes, got therapy, managed my diet, took vitamins and was looking for more because my symptoms were still incredibly bad. I did some research on helping anxiety on the Internet, and found out that hypnotherapy has been well documented to help with coping with anxiety. That surprised me. I thought "Well, what do I have to lose?" I'm very glad I tried this. I can't tell you how much Michelle helped me. She is incredibly kind and compassionate, non- judgmental, and professional. She did a consultation and fit me in that day because my anxiety was so high. I felt like I was spinning in a hurricane and she used hypnotherapy (Or what I like to call, guided meditation) to calm me down. She helped me learn coping techniques that I still use. The process is: You sit in a reclining chair and she talks to you. She guides you through several visualization exercises and you feel yourself sinking in. I was a bit scared of "going under". Turns out, it's just a really heavy feeling in your body where you feel very relaxed. I remembered everything from our sessions. I was never uncomfortable. Her voice is very soothing to listen to. My improvement was huge in three months and my anxiety and depression are now in control. Praise God! I feel SO much better. I would not hesitate to go back to her at all, and carry her cards around with me to hand out to people. I think there is a lot of suspicion regarding hypnotherapy, and as a former skeptic I know now that it's a very valuable therapeutic tool. read more

I have been diagnosed with PTSD and nothing I tried worked. I wasn't even living life, I was existing, just barely coping. So I started looking for alternative methods of dealing with my issues. Two things stood out to me online. One was float therapy and one was hypnotherapy. I figured getting into float therapy would probably be pretty expensive and hard to find, which it was when I researched. So then I researched hypnotherapy and found there was a office that specialized in it very close to my home. And I know you've all heard of love at first sight, but really, when I saw photographs of the therapists there, I knew I was going to be okay, I knew that already. I felt like I could be at peace again. The first time I walked into Lockett hypnotherapy, I had just had an episode, panicked, was stressed and crying and felt like pretty much the worse I've ever felt. I was so very stressed and anxiety-ridden that I couldn't breathe. Neil sat down with me and calmed me down, asked me some questions about why I wanted to do the therapy and and I'm so grateful to this day, because he happened to have an opening right then and there and I took him up on it. IT CHANGED MY LIFE. I couldn't even eat or drink or even talk to anyone before I started hypnotherapy. The first thing I did when I walked out of the office on the first day was think to myself, wow I feel amazing, I'm going to get an ice cream. Me. Each time that I go, I feel better and better, and it seems to last for longer and longer periods of time. It's easier for me to be hypnotized by Neil now because it's something we've practiced. Along with practicing being hypnotized, we're practicing not being stressed, letting my subconscious practice relaxing. I think so much less in a stressful manner now. And let me tell you, I've gone through so many stressful things since I started with him, but I haven't been under immense pressure because he's given me the tools I need to deal with my stressors in a positive and healthy manner. And the best thing is I didn't even have to do a diet or take a pill. It happens all while I'm sleeping. I wish that they were certified by the count by state so that our health insurance to cover it because I truly believe this is a miracle cure. Being successful in the therapy, it really has opened my eyes to other things in this world, such as power of positive thinking. How can one man change my subconscious, change me into who I now feel like I am, which is a strong, confident, woman with a firm grasp on the world? Hypnotherapy..... that's how. read more

I am 60 years old and have had a terrible sleep disorder that comes with fibromyalgia for 27 years. I couldn't fall asleep until 2am-5am, slept fitfully for a few hours and woke exhausted. Every day. Over the years I had "tried everything" - western and alternative. I had developed a bad habit of avoiding going to bed because it was just a miserable experience. A friend recommended Michelle and I decided to try one more thing. It has been a miracle. I asked her to "program" me to feel sleepy and go to bed at 10:30pm, read a book or do crossword puzzles for 30 minutes, turn out the light at 11pm and sleep deeply, waking at 7am refreshed. In just a few sessions exactly that began happening! Well, I wake up closer to 6am but I am still thrilled and so much better, not dragging through every day, having to push myself. I had had a couple of setbacks due to stressful situations and had a booster-shot session with Michelle to get back on track. We've also worked on an emotionally painful situation and I'm dealing with it much better too. Michelle's caring and warmth shines through every session and I'm deeply grateful. read more

I came across a Groupon for hypnotherapy and after reading some reviews decided to give it a try. Best decision ever! Michelle has helped me overcome a battle with sugar in under a month. Something I couldn't manage to do on my own for several years. On top of that she's helped me develop better eating habits in general. The whole process has been very comfortable, I can't say enough great things. Michelle's manner and style is very welcoming and warm. I wish I had done this sooner! read more

A natural skeptic when it comes to what I will term "non-traditional" modes of therapy, I want to heartily recommend Michelle. She creates a safe and warm environment and while I don't know how long she has been practicing her art, she is really good at it. I feel palpable change in the issue areas that I wanted to work on, and to me, that is the point of this kind of therapy, as opposed to just getting to a state of relaxation. The work she does with you, reminds me of what I learned in biofeedback technique, but then she takes it well beyond that. Give Michelle a try if you feel stuck about some physical or emotional issues. It is likely you will be pleased with the results. read more

I was truly skeptical about hypnotherapy but I decided to give it a try. Neal put me at ease straight away. This was partially due to his kind, calm, respectful, and patient demeanor. However, Neal mostly put me at ease because of his obvious intellect. I came in wanting to work on softening into situations and not needing to feel like I had to be so in control. He helped me to develop wonderful stress reducing visualizations, taught me how to affect my dreams, how to talk to people I love but can't communicate with, and make major decisions in my life during a particularly difficult time. I have been told that I seem bolder since starting hypnotherapy. I have had a few amazingly liberating dreams. I am smiling more sincerely and openly in photographs. I am becoming better at setting boundaries. It turned out that Neal helped me soften comfortably into who I am. More importantly, he helped me build the confidence to see that the person I already was, was pretty capable and wonderful. I would love to continue this kind of work with Neal in the future. I highly recommend his practice! read more

My sessions with Michelle were great. At first, I didn't know what to expect. We began with a short consultation to see what I wanted to get out of our sessions. She then incorporated my goals into our sessions. I was a bit nervous and shy to start off with, but she has a calm, soothing presence and voice that help to put me at ease right away. Each session begins and ends with a discussion of our progress. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to go into trance at all, but I had no problem thanks to Michelle. She put me at ease and I was able to relax right away. She tailors each session based on our discussions. At certain points, I had to re-work our appointments, and she was able to work with me to get things situated. I can't express how great I think she is. I have been making excellent progress thanks to Michelle! I not only have been making improvements with my goals, her sessions would leave me feeling super relaxed and feeling good afterwards. I highly recommend her services. You should check her out. read more

I can't recommend this enough! Neal really helped me to see my own thoughts in a new perspective! I went in originally to get healthier habits around diet and exercise, but I got so much more than that! Neal's thoughtful line of questioning and the clarity I got during hypnosis led me to figure out pretty quickly that the roots of my particular problem were more about decisiveness and confidence in general. In hypnosis, I discovered that I don't need to try so hard to get everything right, and this goofy way of being me is just fine - in fact, better than fine! To be clear, I'm not perfect (and anyway, what on earth does that mean?), but I don't really care! I'm having too much fun! And I've been going out dancing, cooking, cutting up vegetables all the time, swimming, hiking, having really vivid dreams, going out and being a lot more social, and even convincing my friends and family to come with me to the gym (so it's helping them too). Until today, I hadn't checked the scale in a while, but it turns out I lost 9% of my body weight without really caring too much about it either way! I'm serious! Working with Neal or Michelle is probably the best way to lose weight, but much better yet, to stop freaking out about that and all the other ridiculous over-exaggerations we torture ourselves with. Thank you so, so, so much for your kindness, your listening, and your honest concern, Neal. You've made a real difference in my life! read more
