If you are in London and you love hats this is the shop to go to! Whenever I am in London, I will pop into Lock & Co Hatters to check out their new hats. It became a sort of a tradition to do so. So whenever my mom and I went to London at the beginning of July, we went to Lock & Co Hatters to look for a lovely Panama hat. Everyone in the shop is wonderful and very friendly. But if you go and you are looking for excellent customer service and maybe even a bespoke hat, then ask for Jayesh Vaghela who goes by the title Master Hatter. He is extremely knowledgeable about hats, knows exactly what you are looking for, and treats anyone like royalty. He tries to fulfill every wish. I bought a Panama hat but wanted a bespoke band in the color khaki/olive to match my summer clothes. He immediately got the ribbon, explained the process, and made my hat bespoke and unique. it turned out lovely. I just love it! Anytime I can go, my experience is truly special and I am just happy to be there! There is truly no other hat shop as Lock & Co Hatters and I already told Jayesh that we will be back next year for a new hat.

The staff was very patient and helpful in helping this American to pick out a hat. My father and great grandfather had purchased hats from here years before, and I was obligated to do so also. As a Texan, I am very particular about my hats, and the options here did not fail to exceed my expectations. Very happy with my purchase, and I've already got my eye on one of the smoking caps.

Been to this shop three times over the years and I just can't get enough of the amazing quality and…read moredesigns of their rock n roll inspired jewelry and pieces. This location is very easy to find as it's off the main drag of Carnaby street just off to the side. The black paint and signage make it easy to spot. The inside was clean and not overdone so you can really focus on the pieces there. I've always wanted a piece from here but was apprehensive because of the prices (I'm just cheap, the pieces are quality and reasonable for the craftsmanship) but mainly because since all of the pieces are custom made to your size, the items need to be shipped. Told myself for years I'd just go to their Los Angeles store but never did. It's so much more special getting a piece here though as the Great Frog originated here. Staff member named Jaws helped me out and was a lovely human being. Approachable and helpful, not pushy but made me feel good about my purchase. Walked me through sizing me for a ring and talked prices and shipping. Also was friendly that we got off topic talking about life and overall just a nice person who made the experience A+. I'm so happy with my rock n roll ring purchase that I'll be a fan going forward. If you love badass jewelry with a rock n roll edge and history, this shop is the one for you.

My heart sank when I saw the original shop front in Ganton Street boarded up on a post-lockdown visit to Central London. Turns out, they just moved to a new location around the corner in Newburgh Street - phew! With quite a queue outside as well, so the future seems secure. This is the original rock'n'roll jeweller and famous for its collection of skull rings.

Not much has been done to a great standard in the shop itself. Having said that, the wallpaper and…read morethe mirror in the dressing room feels quite homely. The shop is quite cutting edge in what they offer, the emphasis on shape and cut and are amongst the freshest themes out there, there is always an interesting cut to look out for at Dahlia's. Attention to detail is essential, buttons, pockets, stitching and lining. For instance, I fell in love with one of their new season sailor coats, with red buttons and navy backdrop, the lining in silk and printed red stars. Unfortunately, the shape was a bit to frumpy for my height but I can see it being worn by a specific kind of woman amazingly! I encountered the same problem with other outfits, it was such a shame. Their clothes won't fit everyone, but you never know; one of their vintage type, fun cut dresses might fit you perfectly.

Supposedly the designer is British and began selling her pieces on Portobello Road ten years ago. The shop is brightly lit, small and very quaint. I found the Dahlia collection to be rather vintage-inspired, with precise tailoring feminine details. The quality of the pieces are very good and I feel like the price point is fair. There also is a section of vintage pieces in the shop, all in wonderful condition. I found the service to be great as well, my salesgirl was quite attentive and gave me her advice when I was conflicted between two vintage 1950s dresses I had selected. She asked for my contact information so she could ring me when they got in a trench I was eyeing earlier that had sold out straight away. Also, she said she would let me know when the shop got in their next vintage shipment. Overall, wonderful and very genuine customer service. I look forward to what the Dahlia shop has in store for F/W 2010 and I will be back in the shop very soon.

Art deco designs, 1950s plastic pineapples, Lady Di diamante replica drops, you name it and this shop has it! All with a price tag mind you but if you are looking for a special gift or item that will wow and impress all your friends look no further. You really can spend hours in here, or at least that's what I did. Everything is in a glass case as most of it is delicate and it must be hard stopping people with a five finger discount from snapping up these beauties otherwise. The items are all laid out thematically, so you'll find your scotty dog choker with the houndstooth broaches off course. Head on down if you have some time during the week, that way the whole place isn't over run by tourists and you can look in peace, even better than that, go on a rainy day...
