A Lochalsh Viewpoint overlooking the loch by the town of Kyle of Lochalsh was easy to spot and pull into heading west on A87 in the morning on Monday 15 July 2019. I pulled in on my way to attempt to catch a ferry from the Skye area to Fort William (which I ended up missing entirely). As driving is on the left side of the road, and so was the viewpoint heading towards the west, it was not a hassle to check out.
The view was clear and a tugboat dock was visible along the edge of Loch Alsh. In the distance, looking westward, was the Skye Bridge, connecting the Isle of Skye area and the Scotland mainland. read more
