I just went there to cash a money order in my name from M&T Bank. I have done it several times…read morebefore but they informed me that they would not cash it. The person I spoke to was extremely dismissive and could not explain why they would not cash an official money order from a bank. Anyway, I'm taking it to the bank now. I just think businesses like this should treat customers as if they matter not in a "it's your fault you have to be here" way. I will never go to this location again.

This was really a minus one star!!!!! I was sent a money…read more(MoneyGram) order for $60 and was charged almost $9 at ACE. I asked the clerk if I could deposit it in my bank account and he said no! This was not true. I think it is unfair that I was charged to cash the money order. I called customer service and was placed on hold and no one ever picked up after 5 min. The ACE office was on 9th and H st NE in Wash DC. I am very upset that I was not able to retrieve all of my money!This is not fair. It makes no sense that it costs me money to receive a money order that had to be purchased to send me! Further more I felt I was robbed.

I stated to him that I would like to cash my check; however, I don't have an account with you guys, the teller next to him quickly lost focus on what he was doing and began looking at myself and the teller to the point his customer was talking to him and he wasn't paying him any attention. The teller that was assisting me (A black man) then says "He has to approve it". The man that seemed to be watching us anyway. I said okay! The other teller calls me over to him and says your address will need to match your ID. I replied okay and hands him over my driver's license. He saw that it was a match and asked "who do I currently bank with, and why didn't you cash it with them?" I was confused as to why I would need to disclose that information when my payroll check is drawn from BANK OF AMERICA. He then says that he can't cash a check for that amount. I asked why can't you?! I'm sure that you can confirm that my employer has the money available?? I've cashed checks for much more, It's typically an $8 fee for nonbank members and my check are cashed with any issues. He then said "If I cash this check and it's no good he wouldn't have a job on Monday. I said excuse me?! and he had no problem repeating it. My name is on the check, my address matches my driver's license, you can confirm that my employer has the money there and I still have to be looked upon as if I'm cashing a fraudulent check?! I choose this location bc my experience with other employees are nothing of the same! One lady went from speaking with me to speaking to her phone. I wish I could remember that name, something Traya or Tray? i got my money but for it to have not been any more than 2 people in front of me, i could have gotten out of there way sooner. And the people in front of me would've gotten whatever they needed more efficiently.
