Chandler Meichle of Essential Sanitizing Services (ESS) called me on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at…read more7:44 PM, telling me he will send two of his workers on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 10:00 AM, to remove the articles from the garage, clean-up chemical spill with substance removal, acid wash the concrete floor with absorbent removal and replace the decontaminated items to the garage, for the Amount of $1,868.00 paid by Loyola Medicine Transport due to their spilling of 10 gallons of wood sealer on the garage floor by the paramedics during delivery of my disabled brother from Loyola Hospital Medicine on midnight of July 31, 2020.

On November 28, 2020, at 10:06 AM, one worker from ESS showed-up and claimed his partner was sick and could not make it. I asked him if he is going to do the job alone, he said yes. After an hour, because of slow progress and the worker had started throwing the items out of the garage and damaging them, I texted Chandler of ESS if any other worker is coming. He responded another worker will be coming soon as he finished his work in Chicago.
Finally, at 12:30 PM, the ESS worker started to power wash the floor, I noticed the water was gushing into the yard and the sealer oily substances from the garage floor were floating on the running water and the water was finding its way to the covered swimming pool that is five feet away from the garage door. I asked the worker to stop the power washing and get his shop vacuum to vacuum the contaminated water that was going to the pool. He ignored my request and kept power washing the south-west corner of the garage. I was disgusted by the worker's ignorance behavior, I texted and called Chandler of ESS regarding what was happening, and what the worker had done was contrary to the way he had explained his estimate dated October 17, 2020. A copy is attached.
After Chandler's irresponsible response to what was happening, I consistently requested the worker to leave the premises because not only he had damaged the items from the garage, he had also extended the contamination more than five feet beyond the garage perimeter into the driveway, yard and the swimming pool.
Essential Sanitizing Services worker, not only did not clean-up chemical spill with substance removal, acid wash the concrete floor with absorbent removal, and replace the decontaminated items in the garage, he had also spread the contamination of the garage floor to more than five feet beyond the garage enclosure.
On Saturday evening of November 28, 2020, when I was putting the items (stained or non-stained) back in the garage I found-out three items were missing (a gas-burning heater in a sealed box, a large red umbrella, and a brown umbrella base). I witnessed them when the worker removed them from the garage, but there was no sign of them except for the empty box of brown umbrella base that was left in the driveway.
The entire process was a scam by Essential Sanitizing Services, and it was just a set-up to take the money they received from Loyola Medicine Transport and cause more damages instead of fulfilling their contract.
