You can tell the small group of employees are a tight-knit group that really do always try to put their best foot forward. I've looked through the items this auction house offers multiple times and I'm always really impressed with their array. They have everything from furniture to home décor to tools to lawn equipment to gardening supplies to toys and games and collectables. Literally everything. Whether you love antiques, resell items, or want something new for your home at a ridiculously affordable price; this is the place to get it. They hold auctions weekly and are always very professional in the way they handle everything. Everything is clearly and neatly displayed and pictures are even posted on their Facebook group so you can get an idea of everything they are offering and decide if there are items you'd like to bid on up for grabs. Most auction houses now-a-days are still a bit 'old school' so I REALLY appreciate the fact that they advertise a lot of their items online so I can get a fair idea of what they are offering before I make the trip to Clinton. I haven't seen any other auction house that also posts great high-quality photos of their items online. I've discussed with Justine about her selling my items, and she's been very honest with me about the way she does business and has offered me her services in a fair manner. Compared to other auction houses I've spoken with, McGinty Auctions definitely has the friendliest reps and they're always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty in ensuring all of my questions are answered, and my concerns are addressed. Every time I call they pick up their phone and they're more than happy to talk me through everything. Whether you're looking to sell a lot of your old things, or you want to bid on some new things- this auction house is by far the best in the Illinois / Iowa area. I've been to a few different auction houses and this one always stands out as the one that offers the best service, the most diverse array of items, and the best prices. Reschedule was necessary due to life-threatening weather conditions. Not a single walkway, drive or entry had been plowed on the new pick up day. Beloit loaded up trucks over 2 days and literally cleared everything out of the apartment so we could return it to the landlord. They did not leave a thing behind. They were able to auction off/sell every single thing in the apartment in a couple of months time and we received a check with an itemized list of every item sold. I worked primarily with David Allen (main contact) and Paul Allen (head of the crew) and every step of the process was so easy. The tracking on the FedEx website shows the package never got scanned, so there is no evidence it entered their possession. I stopped into The Postal Shoppe and asked if they could look for it. The guy was rude and unhelpful, simply insisting it was picked up and not their problem. I talked to FedEx as well, and even though they couldn't do anything for me, at least they weren't rude. Lesson learned: always drop off directly with the carrier. They scan it right then and there, and then the tracking shows they took possession. This package was for a Samsung trade-in, and I'm out $150. Never going there again.

I went in and told the guy on shift, and he said that I would have to pay $25 for shipping if I wanted to return the package that wasn't even mine. There isn't too much to look at and it smelled strongly of wood stain (not that I really minded that too much). The thing that annoyed (I hate to us that word) me the most was the fact that we kept getting asked if we needed help. Once is fine for me, but more than that and it makes me want to leave because I feel like I'm being followed. The guy was nice enough and I'm sure some people like that attention but it drove me out of there. The items themselves were just ok too.
