Walking inside feels like discovering a hidden little world of books. I will say, I expected it to be much bigger based on photos I had seen. There's definitely more to see upwards than around, with books stacked and shelved high throughout the space. It's pretty tight inside, so I can imagine it getting a little crowded when there are a lot of people. And then there's the big fluffy resident cat, who pretty much seems to own the place and just adds another layer of charm to the whole experience. Honestly, what more could you want from a whimsical little bookshop? Definitely worth making a little trip to check out. It's quirky, charming, unexpected, and feels like a little hidden treasure.

The only caveat is that there is some dusty areas so take your allergy meds before coming. They have LOTS of books, some new, some used, some rare, some common. They also have vintage wall art. However, this book shop is NOT the shop to grab a book and read in the corner, nor the kind of shop to sit and do work. It is VERY cramped, especially on busy days. I've also noticed some books are pretty steep in price. Come here for the bookish vibes and the Instagram-worthy floor-to-ceiling shelves of books! Just don't expect it to be cozy or functional as a library or B&N.

There's a huge selection of Loungefly backpacks but when we went, even with the sale online, the backpacks in store were full price. However, if you're there for books and enjoy bargains, there's a lot on clearance. The cashier working there was friendly and asked if we needed any help.

Books-A-Million has a long history going all the way back to 1917 in Florence, Alabama, when 14 year old Clyde W. Anderson began a news stand business to support his family after the death of his father. From these humble beginnings Clyde's son, Charles C. Anderson expanded the books store left to him by his father into a chain of stores. Today they are the second largest chain of book stores in the U.S. operating close to 300 stores in more than 30 state. Books-A-Million is bright and inviting. They have a large selection of books from classics to the latest bestseller and periodicals but they also sell games, greeting cards, toys, T-shirts, collectibles, candy, house hold goods, collectibles, and more. I especially love their Florida section. This is the kind of store where it is easy to find a gift for that hard to shop for person. I have purchased a lot of presents here through the years as well as the latest beach book. I always discover something unique whenever I stop in. You can order books online but there is something so satisfying about going into a bookstore and holding the books in your hands as you make your decision. That is why this is always a top stop in the mall for me.
