I adore this place.
We arrived late at night, exhausted after 12 hours of delayed trains, hoping that something- anything- would be open so we could finally have a real meal... And we were fortunately directed to The Flames.
The man working there- most likely the owner?- was really nice and made great conversation.
My boyfriend and I ordered a pizza, cheesy chips, and the korma curry with boiled rice.
The curry was HUGE. Although I always hate that you have to buy the rice separately in Indian restaurants, I didn't mind here because you were given so much for a very cheap price. We also had Indian food the night before- also korma curry- so it was a pretty easy comparison. Overall, just as good as anywhere else, cheap, but huge portions.
Cheesy chips were supplied with a pretty decent amount of cheese! The pizza was pretty yummy as well, although I mostly ate the curry myself. Great for it's price and made fresh. read more
