In my opinion, LJ Hooker Crows Nest are the worst property managers we have ever dealt with. I don't even want to give them a star rating as they are not worth it!
Apart from providing us with a condition report that is potentially fraudulent, the team are terrible communicators. We must have dealt with at least 5 different people within their office to work through different areas of the lease and issues, which makes me think there is an issue within the management team. Plus, I believe their communications are confusing and give incorrect information.
The apartment had endless issues that took them anywhere between 3-6 months to attend to, the one outstanding issue was Concrete Cancer!! They withheld this information from us prior to the lease.
On signing the lease, their team had not prepared it in time, therefore it was signed on the day of moving and the property manager had it opened on the 'sign here' page and didn't at all attempt to walk us through the lease. We were also told at the time of signing, words to the effect, that certain additional conditions of the lease were non-negotiable. In my view, this may be a breach of rule 3 of the real estate agent's code of conduct, requiring the property manager to act honestly and professionally, and to not mislead or deceive any parties in negotiations.
As I understand, property managers are to provide a sufficient level of customer service to the tenants, i saw non of this. I will be a potential buyer one day... I have also spoken to many other property managers who believe the manner in which LJ hooker has behaved is disgusting.
I note that LJ Hooker consistently ranks highly in the number of complaints recorded in the NSW Fair Trading Register, far more than the majority of other real estate agents. This shows that our experience with your organisation is unfortunately not an isolated incident, and it is disappointing your organisation has not taken further steps to improve its client service and satisfaction.
