The cookies were decent, but the boysenberry pocket really stood out: flaky, held together perfectly, and full of flavor. The ambiance was inviting, and I was pleasantly surprised to see they also offer a variety of sandwiches and other menu items. I've been coming here often with my parents, and it's the perfect place to relax, enjoy some seriously good pastries, and hang out on their cozy patio. They're only open on select days, so definitely check ahead, but it's 100% worth planning around. Everything is made to order, and you can also order once you arrive. They even brew their own beer, which is such a fun bonus if you're in the mood to sip while you snack. My personal favorites? The cinnamon rolls are massive, soft, and absolutely delicious--definitely a must-try. They also have this amazing croissant topped with a cookie (yes, a cookie!), and it's every bit as good as it sounds. And don't sleep on the tapioca pudding--it's creamy, flavorful, and comes in a very generous portion. Everything here is a great size--definitely not your average dainty pastry shop. The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which just adds to the good vibes. It's kid-friendly too, though I'd recommend bringing a little card game or something to keep them entertained while you enjoy your food and drink. All in all, Suncoast Bakery is a gem. Very disappointed. After reviewing her photos and comments on Facebook, I decided to have my mom…read moreorder my baby shower cake from Nani's. I was impressed by the designs of her fondant cakes. We fell in love with one specific design she had posted on her Facebook. It was a baby shower cake with polka dots and a bow on the top layer. We placed the order 3 weeks in advance and requested for a layer of buttercream under the fondant with chocolate and fresh strawberry filling (and fresh strawberries) on the first layer, second layer white cake with strawberry filling (with fresh strawberries also). We were told because of the fresh strawberries and design of this cake it would cost $120 (pretty pricey for a cake to feed 30) so our expectations were high. On the day we picked up the cake, we noticed it looked a little plain. Come to find out, we realized she did not add the bow on the 2nd layer. We were guaranteed that the cake would be the same as her Facebook photo. Then when we decided to cut the cake and eat it for the shower, we discovered a very tiny amount of strawberries and no buttercream under the fondant layer. The strawberries didn't even have enough filling around them for a better taste. When I say tiny amount of strawberries I mean tiny. It seemed as if she cut 3 strawberries in the smallest amount of slices possible to spread out in the entire cake. It was a rip off. We also had a party of 50 people and a ton or cake left over. We even threw it away we had so much left over. Very disappointed and will be ordering from save mart next time!
