Hungry after visiting the Dali Museum, we searched for a place to eat. I saw this place on google…read moremaps with some good reviews and the few reviews on Yelp concurred, so we decided to go for it. Boy, were we glad we did. Aside from warm and friendly service, each dish was presented with a thoughtful, artistic touch. The restaurant itself was petite but the clean lines and laid back vibe evoked a design aesthetic that permeated through decor and dishes. Everything was perfectly cooked. The tenderness of the pork and freshness of the vegetables, fish and seafood spoke volumes of the cooking technique as well as emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients. If I had one knock it would be the paella was slightly too salty, but aside from that, bravo! We didn't have time to try desserts but if we ever come back to Figueres would love to visit this place again.

A lot of tasty food choices for the menu del dia. Started with a fresh salad which you can dress yourself. Warm veggie plate which I ate with the aioli sauce from the pan con tomate. Nice fresh and well cooked piece of bacalla which was grilled. Great chocolate dessert but stay away from their coffee Service: 4.5 very friendly and attentive Value: Menu del dia plus half a carafe of a nice white wine and coffee 14.65!!!! Great value.

We picked Sentís Gastrobar for its varied menu and a table in the sun. We were seated promptly, lucky to get a just freed up table, and our beers came quickly. (Only one on draft. You take what they have.) Didn't get menus so I got up and took a photo. When we were able to flag someone down, I chose 2 tapas - patatas bravas (which are a staple in Spain) and fried breaded squid, and my husband ordered the Figueres burger (beef, bacon, cheese minus the fried egg). The burger was undercooked and the fries and patatas bravas soggy. The baby squid was decent but maybe too much of a good thing. I was disappointed with the food and the service was not great, even with a leisurely hang out in the sun state of mind and ordering in Spanish. (Maybe Catalan or French would be better?) We are renting an apartment for 4 days. I think we would've been much better off having a sand which at the house and having a few beers in the sun. Do not recommend even if you are hangry.

Wonderful local fare…read more A short walk, off the beaten path, from the Dali Museum. Local cuisine combined with local ingredients made an absolutely lovely economical lunch. Do not pass this opportunity to sample simple, delicious, Catalonia food in a bright and cheery atmosphere. I think there were only locals enjoying lunch the day we found this gem. We will be back!

Though it seems like the kind of place we would plan on coming to, we just happened upon it on our walk from the train station to the Dali museum, and it was awesome. I hope we didn't scare the servers with our major photo shoot all over the restaurant.
