Ok, I found liz here on Yelp and gave her a shot with no knowledge walking in (outside of reading things here). For one, I felt as though she was a friend I could trust with everything in the first phone call. My retirement funds have exploded under her management and I'm loving it! Even if they weren't, I would still sing her praises. She cares! I have had my funds under two other management firms and frankly, I won't change. If I were to die, she would help my wife work through all of the changes (or vis versa). If you want someone local and someone you can trust, this is your landing spot. I made an appointment with Liz after seeing her positive reviews and perusing her website. She offers three different services, and one of them was just what I was looking for. When she needed to reschedule our initial phone consultation, I immediately rescheduled for the following week. At the end of that 20-minute phone call (which went well), she asked me a question that seemed odd: Had I been on her website within the last week? I replied that I had not. She then informed me that between the time I scheduled the appointment and the actual appointment, she had raised the price of the service I was seeking by 70%. Increasing the price is well within her rights, of course, but the amount of the increase and the timing floored me. And, it was difficult for me to understand why she waited until after I spent 20 minutes detailing my financial profile, goals and missteps, to tell me. Not a great experience. read more
