Vibrant colors are mixed with dynamic representations of nature, life, and an inspirational sense of inner strength. His work conveys the concept of awakening the spirit, and inspires one to search for a greater meaning from within. As an author, Greg Gutierrez is THE veritable "Steinbeck Of Surfing." San Diego's Union-Tribune refers to his work as "Mythological." There is a fluid and articulate poignancy to Greg's writing style. His book, "Zen and the Art of Surfing," available through his website, www.greggutierrez.com, is a collection of short stories which will excite both surfers and non-surfers alike. Real life and fictional experience are presented in a manner that is forthright and endearing in relation to the ali'i "Sport of Kings." The path to enlightenment is illuminated throughout the book via skilled metaphors and symbolisms of lessons that are realized, not achieved. She is experimental and unafraid to try styles and techniques I've never even seen done before. She can really work with ANY medium whether it's for sculptures, statues and any visual art. She's extremely impressive and we're so fortunate she brought her talents to Oceanside and opened up this new gallery. I've seen her restoration portfolio and it's just incredible what this woman is capable of. She hired me to sing for her gallery for the South O Walkabout on 2nd Wednesdays of each month and this is how we met. Her styles are suitable for private homes, corporate buildings, high end hotels and she really does believe in the "go big or go home" mindset. She works on large canvas and from the collection I've seen, as far as I can tell her talent for visual art is completely boundless whether you are looking to commission a piece or repair a statue/sculpture that's been damaged. Welcome to Oceanside Roberta!!

This is actually the second mural Patti has created for us -- she painted a stunning piece in our living room a few years ago, and when we decided we wanted something special for our patio, she was the only call we made. Patti has a rare gift for taking your vision and making it even better than you imagined. We gave her a photo as a starting point, and from there she brought her own creativity and warmth to every detail -- including charming portraits of my husband, our cat, and me woven right into the design. Working with her is an absolute delight; she's enthusiastic, collaborative, and genuinely fun to have around. The finished mural is a work of art we'll treasure for years. We can't recommend Patti highly enough!

Hiring Patti for our wedding was the ABSOLUTE BEST decision we made throughout the entire planning…read moreprocess :) She left such an impression that I am compelled to write this review 2.5 years after our wedding (holy moly time flies!). We planned our wedding within 4 months and not too long before our wedding I found Patti's Live Wedding Services. I wanted something interactive and unique at our wedding, but we were on a budget. I thought we would need to hire a performer and then something separate the guests could interact with or that was unique - Patti is all of this in one and then some! Plus she offers options to work with your budget. Having a live artist at our wedding was absolutely mesmerizing! Not to mention you get the most beautiful and sentimental piece of art to keep forever....oh and she is a sweetheart! Her presence at our wedding alone felt like a gift. Our DJ cancelled on us two weeks before the wedding, and our venue cancelled one week before the wedding. The beautiful energy that Patti brought to the wedding brought tears to my eyes. She painted our wedding ceremony and I chose the option to upgrade where she takes the painting home and adds even more detail. When I saw the painting on our wedding day I was blown away. I could not even imagine what more she could possible do to enhance the piece. However, when I picked up the final piece from her and saw she had added my flower girls (nieces) to the painting I lost it! I wouldn't have even thought of that and it was the perfect element that I did't even know it needed. It was also very neat because I was able to make a request (the original painting had my husband and I with the priest during the ceremony and I had her remove the priest - you can't even tell he was ever there). It is just the most precious painting! You can identify each of my guests in the painting - she is that good! It's amazing to look at it and be able to tell which one is my dad and mom or which one is my husband's grandmother. Patti's live art blew my expectations out of the water. We had small versions of the painting printed and used them as thank you cards to that each of guests could keep the memory. If there is ONE thing I would recommend to any bride, it would be to have live art at your wedding and ensure you use Patti. Honestly. It will be the best choice you made!
