My first and only appointment (to establish care) was a circus. Prior to ever seeing Dr. Deng or…read morefilling any paperwork out I already had quite the medical history. I had 2 C-sections (2015 & 2018), was married, and had a family history of diabetes from my father side. I also had a mid-late aged man's drivers license in my chart. I know this because the initial MA I saw physically moved her laptop to face me, so I could see this as she thought it was "funny". 2 other MA's would also come in and out over the course of getting my vitals, manually entering my actual medical history and dismissing me from the appt. It was by far the strangest appointment I've ever had of any kind. As a health center manager, I was quite shocked at what I experienced. If you're looking for quality in the management of your health, I'd keep looking elsewhere.

Unfortunately, I have not had good experiences at IM Well. I really was feeling awful the first…read moretime I went and saw the nurse practitioner. She asked me a lot of questions and was very thorough, but then began to second guess the medications my main doctor had given me. I've seen that doctor for years, and she is amazing, so it really rubbed me the wrong way. I thought that maybe I might have just been a little too sensitive or moody. So I shrugged it off. I was feeling puny and didn't know the ARNP very well. Flash forward to a month later and I'm told by a coworker that I can get my Rx filled for free if I go to IM Well again. Same circumstance. The ARNP was questioning me to the point of being rude and making me feel uncomfortable. She made me feel like I was drug seeking when all I wanted was my acne medication and B12 shots for free. She ended up refusing to fill it without labs. Ok, so I made sure my labs from a few months ago would be forwarded to her. But no Rx ever came to my pharmacy. I called them to see what was the problem and never got a return call.
