They finally finished the new plaza where there once was a small patch of grass and maybe about 3 benches. It was also the site of a large Christmas tree that would go up annually with a lighting ceremony. Now there is a spacious modern plaza with a really neat gigantic spinning sphere on water, with ample lighting and lots of seating available. They even kept a small patch of grass at the far end of the installation. Was gonna write about it using my own words but I didn't want to leave out any scientific detail so from the Lawrence Livermore National Lab website: "The plaza, located at 116 S. Livermore Ave., pays perpetual tribute to the Lab's work on element 116, livermorium. It features a park with a five-foot, 18,000-lb. floating granite sphere fountain, representing the nucleus of a Livermorium atom. The seven orbitals are populated with 116 electrons -- 20 of those electrons, representing the element calcium, will be illuminated. For Livermorium to be created, calcium atoms are accelerated to one-tenth the speed of light and then directed into a curium target. And for 61 milliseconds, they form one of the rarest elements in the universe." Go check it out!

Excellent location, vineyards, super well maintained Victorian state, luscious small rose garden…read morewith cherubim fountain and classic tall Californian palms. More excellent I would say was the surprised that my bestie, yelpette Alexandra B., had in hand for me: a historical place, very close to downtown Livermore, in the middle of the way to her home and with vineyards (of course) even for the ones like me who are not into wines too much. I care more about the landscape of these places. 'Landscape is bigger than grape' is my motto (just invented, but sounds cool). Seriously, this is not a wine tasting place but was a site were vine was bottle and in the back of the 2-3 buildings you can see the names of the brands they bottled and years and in what international competitions they participated and all those anecdotes. I saw this like an ideal place to take perfect photo shoots in a very hot and sunny day. I loved walking by the vineyards pretending I am doing some work. They are kind enough to let you wander freely (and free parking too). They have tours but my friend and I preferred the freedom to browse on our own, but really appreciate and value (as a volunteer for several causes myself) the work of these precious senior volunteers dressed in Victorian attire. The baby carriage conquered by heart (I should have brought one of my toys to put in these!). All so lovely, including the poster you get as gift for visiting. Awesome treatment to the visitors. I would love to go back with my picnic basket and enjoy the premises. Definitively I will visit Ravenswood whenever they do one of those historical events I saw in their activities calendar.

I loved the entry way like and old italian villa with palm trees. Service was nice and the staff attentive but not bothersome. We did a tasting and then I bought a bottle for my cousin and I to share and for one to take home which we eventually shared too lol! The seating area is comfy and has views of the winery and where they make the wine. Totally cool out door seating that was full but not so close that you feel tight. The wine was nice and my cousin gets to pick as she knows more about me in regards to wine and I trust her choices. She is like my sister so I trust her. We both liked what we got and what we got to taste. Overall we both Liked Rubino and we would go again. Highly recommend visit if you like a nice intimate place, beautiful sights and awesome wine.

Love that we came here by chance and left so happy, overjoyed, and full of Christmas spirit. We would definitely come back for their other Saturday events and sheep shearing in April! Lots of parking, and staff are so welcoming. Had an issue with unruly kids and parents, but other than that, it was a pleasant experience all around.

We learned a little bit about the history of the farm and we got to do a scavenger hunt. All around we really liked it Unfortunately with the parking somebody dinged your car left their car paint on our car with no cameras around, which was unfortunate for us because now there's a dent and paint from somebody's white car. All in all, the weather was great, the wine was incredible, we wish there was more options for food, but at least the children were able to eat lunch and have fun.
