People are good, but there is an agenda. Sell more ultra processed food, keep people going on their journey and see them weekly for more sales. Pro's: It works, I lost a fair amount of weight. People are decent and want to be helpful. If you need a jumpstart on your journey, they can help for sure. Con's: Food is horrible. Chemical taste in most of it, you know you are eating something unnatural Always hungry, got light headed from not enough energy. Repeated that message for 6 weeks and it didn't change. They did try to sell me more products, however. Livea did not recommend exercise when you are trying to lose because they can't control the calories burned versus the calories consumed. The last person I met with flipped through a book looking for an answer, couldn't find it and punted to the next week for a longer appointment. I felt like I understood the program better than the consultant. That was the reason I finally said enough is enough. I got to a point where my body was holding every calorie I consumed because it was in starvation mode. I was very uncomfortable and could barely walk the dog a half mile without running out of energy. I quit the program, started something different and have continued to have success. Feeling healthier than I ever did on the Livea program. Conclusion: This is a very good program if you need help starting and have about $1500 to burn, plus $150 a week for food. The 8 weeks free is a gimmick, and the paid spokes people are just that, paid to say good things. The program works for many. I did lose some weight in the beginning, but it came right back anytime you deviate off the plan for a little bit. It ended up not working for my lifestyle and if I had to take a break due to travel they charge you to start up again/after 3 years on the program I started feeling guilty, not eating real food. Now my metabolism is all messed up, and I've gained almost all the weight back, even though I'm in a calorie deficit and I'm eating pure. I wouldn't recommend. read more

I was excited to look into this program, as friends have had success here. But when I had my consultation, it all sounded good but then I felt pressure to make a decision right then and there, so I signed the dotted line. Only given three days to cancel, hardly enough time to make a clear decision. So I gave up all that money and am disappointed so far. Every time I have gone to my appointments, which is supposed to be supportive, I am getting scolded for having a 6oz. glass of orange juice and a piece of whole wheat toast the same day. My calorie count has literally dropped to a third of what it usually is and is making me ill. I don't find much support in the weekly meetings at all. So far I feel like it's just a money making scheme, and to sell their food items, which I haven't found very appealing at all so far. I feel like my money has been wasted and not at all getting the positive support I thought I would be getting. Very disappointed. I have also been pretty light headed and feeling sick to my stomach. I stand for long periods of time at my job and with this plan, I feel I am not getting enough of what my body needs to function in my day to day activities, especially my job. I don't understand the negative reviews at all. The food is so much better than Medifast. My favorites are the Carmel nut bar, the raspberry hot chocolate, cheese crisps, green tea and lemon drink....it goes on and on. The people are kind hearted and really care without judgement. I attempted to go for an introduction appointment here and beyond disappointed by how disorganized they are. I visited their website and it listed a 1:30p appointment which I selected as the time worked perfect in my schedule. I immediately received a confirmation email so I made sure to show up at 1:30p the next day. So the next day I left work early, which is near impossible for me, and headed to my 1:30p appointment. When I walked in the door I was told, "we tried to call you and email you but was not able to reach you because we cannot do a 1:30p appointment." After confirming they had the right info they really had nothing to say at that point. All they would do was offer me an appointment the next day... Seriously, I just left work, this is the best you can do!?!? Such a shame because I have heard amazing things about the service, but not going to pay almost $2k to start when their office is a complete mess!!!!!!!!!! read more

I was very nervous before my first visit having never done one of these programs before... but my weekly visits have been priceless for my success. The staff is understanding and supportive. They have great recommendations as well on ways to spice up your meals, so be sure to ask! The fact that they are open on Saturdays is wonderful too. My experience with Livea program so far has been great. I am in the first phase/weight loss phase of my program. I think the food I have tried is really delicious! I especially like the sugar cookie bar and spicy queso chips, mango smoothie, mint chocolate bar, and chocolate peanut butter smoothie. I have seen several staff members at my check ins and have felt acknowledged and supported by all of them and their attitudes were friendly and helpful. I do wish that there were more recipes for the do it yourself meals, and especially meals that are made without dipping into the " extras" you are alotted. However, at my last visit the counselor gave me great ideas outside of their recipes for those meals and helped me tweak my plan so I didn't feel hungry as much in between meals. I think being honest and direct with the counselors in a kind way helps them get the information they need to help you be successful. I think spending more time getting familiar with the portions in their guidebook will help me get more creative with the do it yourself meals and help me make up more meals ad hoc. I have done south beach diet in the past with similar results but livea has so far took half the time SBD did and Livea food is better than new SBD food. Medifast Minnetonka is a sales driven business. While on this diet I became concerned for my health, and I decided to discontinue using Medifast. I paid for an extended program of 84 weeks, but I decided to cease this diet by week 17. I have made attempts to cancel this program and obtain a refund for my unused weeks, only to be met with severe resistance and hostility from the center director. I started with this weight center when they were using Medifast products. Feeling very skeptical, I began the program with the goal of losing 50 pounds. It felt so unrealistic to say that amount out loud but after about 7 months, I reached that goal and decided to go for another 10. The reason why this program was successful for me wasn't necessarily that I was using Medifast food. It was because of the incredibly supportive people at the center who held me accountable and offered practical solutions to my busy lifestyle. All done privately and without judgement. The team of women and men at the Minnetonka center are knowledgeable and supportive. Now that this center uses food from Livea, that's the only thing that's changed. Same team, same amazing support. The food is still fine. I typically enjoy eating the bars and occasionally a shake which are surprisingly filling. I've referred 4 friends now and they ALL are having great results after years of trying to loose weight. To me, it's all about the weekly visits at the center to just touch base with someone about how thing a are going. That accountability was key for me. read more

I found this place very unorganized. On 2 different occasion they scheduled an appointment and the center director calls and says we do not do appointments at that time. The second time the scheduler called twice to change the appointment and then the director called the day before saying that they can't do it at the assigned time.
