Dr Rosales was super dismissive and came off as arrogant for the issues and complications I had during my pregnancy under his care. This was 11 years ago, and it was the VERY FIRST year a TDap vaccine was being recommended during pregnancy. I am not anti-vaccine, but explained to Dr Rosales I did not want the vaccine because there was zero data on its safety or efficacy for pregnant women. Again, no studies had ever been done, and I did not want to be apart of the first retrospective data. Every single visit I was lectured about how I should be getting this vaccine, how I was putting my baby at the risk and me having to defend my position that there were zero studies done at this time. Second, my blood pressure had been trending up each visit, and I would ask if it was something to be concerned about. His answer was constantly "Ahh you're fine!" It was to a point where I was technically hypertensive each visit, over 140/90, and he would have my lay flat on my left side for 10-15 minutes to get a blood pressure reading he was happy with. NO education about concerning sign/symptoms to watch out for, no explanation about why he didn't give a F, but guess what I ended up being urgently induced for? Yup. Pre-eclampsia! Had the most severe headache, and my blood pressure was 180/100, and my full term baby was born weighing less than 6 pounds. Wonder if it had anything to do with unmonitored pregnancy-induced hypertension that was completely dismissed. Lastly my actual delivery was goddamn traumatic with him. Despite being urgently induced and on pitocin, I labored without an epidural and wanted to stick to my natural birthing plan as much as safely possible. Well Dr Rosales walked in when I was ready to push, laid me down COMPLETELY FLAT, the worse position possible closing my pelvis, despite me telling me I wanted to at least be in a seated position. Dude I don't have an epidural! I can move! I feel everything! Did he usual dismissive "Ahhh no no no" Flat on my back despite my protests about pushing positions and this guy WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE OR CONSENT gave me an episiotomy. Again my son was tiny, less than 6 pounds. The absolute worst experience I've ever had with a medical professional.

My insurance has been giving me a really hard time since I recently got insured through Covered California and the front office, Debbie especially has been nothing but helpful to me. She has actually jumped through hoops to make sure that I was able to get the care I need and I am overly pleased with their services. Dr. Vizcarra is very friendly and knowledgeable. He goes over everything in detail and is sure to ask if there are any questions before proceeding. He was able to give me a lot of really great information I needed as well as letting me know that Fountain Valley Hospital offers free Lamaze classes which is something that I wanted to do anyhow and was willing to pay for it. He and his nurse went out of their way to make me happy. The rest of the staff there is friendly and nice. I'm always comfortable while I'm there. The wait has never been long and I'm always able to get an appointment quickly. On my last visit I went in a little stressed (due to my insurance) but came out laughing as Dr. Vizcarra pulled a funny April fools prank on his staff. She went to 42 weeks and was not effaced and the estimation was a 10 pound baby. Dr Nageotte made her and I feel very comfortable about making the decision for a cesarean birth and his bedside manner was most excellent when it came time for the procedure. The procedure went fantastic and we delivered a 9 lbs. 7 oz. boy. The good doctor also visited us a day after birth to do the circumcision and to make sure we were OK. Being with a couple of other OBgyns previously and not having a good experience Dr Nageotte calmed our nerves and made the birth experience pretty amazing. Can't thank him enough. Definitely top notch and one of the best in the Long Beach area.

The office staff were nice. Except they messed up with my charges. Every time I came in, it's a…read moredifferent charge. At one point, I was asked to pay $300 and said it is going to my co-pay for the hospital. I should have known better. I didn't argue and paid it every time. Dr. Farbakhsh were nice. Took her time with me and answered all my questions. Always pleasant during my visits. It was the only thing that kept me going and kept me from getting upset over the lack of knowledge when it comes to my co-pays. I figured, i would pay the price for a good doctor. Unfortunately, the day of delivery, that's when everything went awry. I had issues pushing the baby out. Every time I pushed, the baby would go out and right back in. During this time, my baby's heartbeat goes down and she said it may be due to lack of oxygen and proceeded to give me oxygen. After a while of pushing, she decided to cut me (episiotomy) to get the baby out without even talking to me about it first. I was able to get the baby out, and that is when she realized that my baby's cord was wrapped around his neck!!! My baby could have died!!! She didn't even know that. I was already upset with this and I realized that the nurses were panicking. They had to call another doctor in. I was worried as to what had happened and listened in while they spoke to the other doctor that came in. It turns out that Dr. Farbakhsh not only almost killed my child but also cut the top of his head during the whole ordeal. And she brushed it off like it never happened and everything went very well. Never again will I go back to her. Never.

My previous experience with a OBGYN who had come highly recommended by many of my friends did not…read morego well. After much research and the recommendation of a Bradley teacher I chose Dr. Kizner. First, the office staff and nurse were great. They were kind, never rushed me and always answered my questions. Huge plus (last office I went to the office staff was unpleasant). The office staff sets the tone and you tend to spend a lot of time with the nurses so having someone that makes you comfortable is important. I was a high risk pregnancy but was always treated with respect my entire pregnancy. Dr. Kizer is not the most talkative doctor, but if you want someone who knows what they are doing, will be open to alternative ideas, and will treat you fairly and with respect then he is the doctor for you. I feel like the entire office staff respects your time as well. In all my months going there I think I had to wait over twenty minutes only once because the Dr. had to deal with an emergency. Now for the actual delivery You . It was very convenient that I was at Los Alamitos hospital. It is right by his office so he was able to come by and check on me till I was ready to deliver. I was hoping to avoid a c-section but circumstances did not make that possible. It was medially necessary and because I chose Dr. Kizner I had the peace of mind knowing that if he said it was necessary- it really was. He did a great job stitching me up and the wonderful end to the story is that both I and my baby are healthy. I looked at Drs. in Orange, Newport and all points in between. It was nice to end up with one close to my house and I am happy with my overall experience.

I've been a patient of Dr. Sheen's for over 10 years and every year I come for my annual visits, I still get nervous having to spread my legs. With his 40 years of medical experience and having seen countless vaginas also known as beavers, Dr. Sheen always knows what to say and do to make my experience a good one. Open wide with a quick in and out, the procedures are easily over. I cannot say enough great things about this Doctor. Dr. Pai-wen Sheen is professional, very knowledgeable and the only Doctor I trust for all my vaginal needs.
