The location is very accessible to 302, but secluded back away from traffic. The kids especially love the large outdoor play areas. As healthcare workers who work varying schedules including holidays, it has been such a relief to find someone with minimal holidays, rarely closes for snow, and who will be able to provide a care option for the random days that school is closed now that our oldest will be starting Kindergarten. We truly don't know how we would have made it through the ongoing pandemic without the love and consistency they provided for our kids, allowing both parents to continue working where we were needed. The staff here have made us feel like family, and we can't thank them enough.

The staff here is nothing short of remarkable. Within days of starting the teacher reached out to us simply because she wanted to meet and learn more about our son and his family! This meant so much to me and my husband. As we all know, kids do not come with a manuals; nor did many of us attend school to become great parents and; yes, some days do seem so much more challenging than others. When "those days" happen and the staff reaches out and gently offers advice or words of encouragement - I welcome it wholeheartedly - After all, these are people who spend most of our childrens waking hours with them. I want to say "Thank you" to Todd and the amazing staff for your passion and dedication to teaching our children !

Staff are responsive and send photos/updates of the kids daily. They use the Bloomz app to keep parents involved and log baby activities (feeds/diaper changes/naps) so you can know what your kiddo is up to during the day. They do annual portfolios for each kid, and put together a very nice Christmas play and celebration/graduation of the older kids in June. Every holiday my kiddo comes home with a special art project for the scrapbook. They teach babies sign language -- my 15 month old knows "more", "all done", "please". Exceptional program and staff, highly recommend.

I signed my son up for Camp Heartwood for 3 weeks this summer. My son has ADHD and I reported this…read morein the registration forms. During the first 2 weeks of the camp my son received behavior reports and I informed the camp once more that he has ADHD and is medicated and attempted to teach them how to handle a child like him. The leader of the camp, Brenda, would complain almost daily about my son and stated they did not offer the services to deal with a child like my son. They made no accommodations to hep my son and only complained out him and suggested during the second week that he take a break and was able to return later in the week. I agreed. They were aware that he was signed up for another week of camp 3 weeks later and could have let me know at that time that Ryan should not return. It would have been disappointing but I wouldn't have been charged the $340 for the camp if they told me then. However, they did not do that and the first day of the third week they told me my son could not return and that their camp did not have accommodations or tools to deal with my son and if I wanted to register him next summer we would have to have a meeting. Brenda was extremely rude throughout this interaction and I emailed her and requested a refund and was told no since it was due to behavior. His behavior is due to a disability that I disclosed. I then asked for her supervisor and was told to contact Tyler. He backed up Brenda and told me I was not eligible for a refund. I reminded that this summer camps need to make an attempt to accommodate a child with disabilities before discharging them per the Maine Human Right Act and this was not done. All I wanted was a refund since they could have done this before I was charged. SPECIAL NEEDS PARENTS - STAY FAR AWAY BECAUSE YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY AND WATCH YOUR CHILD BE TARGETED BY STAFF BECAUSE THEY DONT FEEL LIKE DEALING WITH THEM.

The first thing I noticed on our first visit was how impeccably clean the floors and bathroom were and she had a dozen kids there that day (they were doing quiet activities) I remember thinking "I am totally sit down on this floor and not wonder". And throughout the years, that cleanliness standard has been kept high. she always has lots of activities for the kids to do and keeps discipline at all times - we know several kids that spent years there and all loved their time there. my daughter always felt safe and loved and welcomed, we never had a single day she did not look forward to being "at school" with Donna. Donna, LeAnn, Megan, Robyn all are amazing with the kids and supportive of you as parents. my daughter was so well prepared for kindergarten after being in preschool with Donna and she's benefited through the years from her experience there. I got to see my share of different preschools/daycares through the years (I have two older children that were "too old" for attending Donna's) and I confidently can say you will rarely see a better run place. Highly recommend.
