If I could give this daycare ZERO stars, I absolutely would. Parents, stay away…read more This place completely changed my view of what a daycare should be. The teachers came across as rude, impatient, and completely lacking the warmth and patience that toddlers need. It felt like they wanted quiet, easy children who wouldn't "bother" them rather than understanding that toddlers are toddlers. The classrooms were also incredibly boring and lacked the kind of engaging, stimulating environment I would expect for young children. But the way they handled my 2-year-old was the final straw. I was told that my child "hit" the teacher. After watching the camera footage myself, that description was extremely misleading. My son tried to climb onto the toy kitchen. The teacher tried to pull him down, he became frustrated, swung his hands in her direction, and then immediately ended up on the floor crying. What did the teacher do? Comfort him? Help him regulate? Redirect him calmly? No. She contacted administration to report the incident. We are talking about a TWO-YEAR-OLD who became frustrated and was crying. If a teacher is so intimidated by normal toddler behavior that her first response is to report the child rather than comfort and redirect him, I seriously question whether she should be working with toddlers. Children this age need adults who understand development and know how to handle big emotions--not adults who seem annoyed by them. The whole experience made me feel that my child was being treated like a miniature adult who was expected to behave perfectly and never be difficult. That is not what I expect from a daycare. I would not trust this daycare with my child again, and based on my experience, I would strongly encourage other parents to look elsewhere.

The teachers are loving, the energy is great, and there is so much room for the kids to play everywhere: the inside play area is the size of the outside play area at our previous daycare, and the outside play area is HUGE (they have a new playground that's like a McDonald's Play Place). The kids eat in a separate cafeteria so they're not eating in their classrooms. There is a bathroom just for the kids with real, kid-sized toilets. The whole area has so much room for your kid to be a kid. Don't let the rest of the strip mall fool you. This facility focuses on the well-being and academic nature of your children and gives the kids a Headstart on curriculum that will prepare them for grade school. His teacher is Miss Karen and she is so kind, loving, patient, and creative. Not only does she teach the students, but she takes the time to learn your child individually, and that's a big factor for me because it lets me know that she see my child. My son is already bright however he was very reserved. He's been attending this school for a little over six or seven months now and he's doing phenomenal between the work of Miss Karen and I, he will be more than prepared for kindergarten!

She was a very experience preschool teacher - caring, fun, organized, structured, and most importantly, loving. Now my daughter is enrolled in the LAUP program which is housed at La Petite. This is another great program! I am thankful that she can go to before and after care with La Petite. She loves ALL her teachers and is excited to go. My daughter happily goes from one class to another and I love that she has the opportunity to play with kids older and younger than her. The center watches there ratios carefully and always makes sure that there is an appropriate teacher to child ratio. Teachers work well with each other and you can tell that they are happy to come to work every day. The director is friendly and easy to talk with. She is very organized and runs a structured center. As it is a busy center and I am busy at work, I have found that email is a great way for me to communicate with Jeanna, but she is also ready to talk in person and over the phone. I love the various themes I see the classes working on: the human body, planets, plants, etc. The playground is fun and safe. There are areas in the shade, space for the kids to run, grassy areas, and a large play structure. The garden is also fantastic! It is fun to see kids of all ages looking at the flowers and excitedly showing each other the vegetables that grow.

Incase anyone wants to know a Lil bit about east Lancaster kindercare…read more My kids went to kindercare for 6 years. And over these years I've had many issues with them until I finally pulled them out. I want to start of with most of the teachers are very kind and that is the ONLY reason we stayed so long. First complaint is after a child is potty trained They will no longer help the child wipe themselves or even monitor them to be sure they are not wiping incorrectly. My toddler was always coming home with poop in her panties and redness and irritation on her vagina due to her wiping poop into her vaginal area. I expressed to them many times the issues she was having and even sent wipes for her to clean herself better. Still the issue continued and they continued to refuse to help her. To the point were before everything happened i took her to the doctor because it was hurt Lilly to pee. And the doctor was in complete shock that they wouldnt help her clean herself and agreed that was causing lillys issues. The director said its against their policy to help wipe and didn't seem to care at all. Secondly they will allow your child to sleep for hours and hours and even when you express to them how this throws off the kids sleep schedule once again they do not care. The director Genesis is very rude in general. She doesn't truly care for the kids, family or even her own staff. She only cares about the money. She made false reports against me over my son's dry skin on his hands. Keep in mind its December and dry skin is a normal thing. The reports about the "abuse to Noahs hands" were found to be untrue when DCFS came to my house. But it goes to show how little she cares about the kids or families when she would stoop so low as to lie. Because she was tired of me complaining about the things they do. They also have a huge turn over rate with teachers and assistant directors due the fact that Genesis is so horrible to work with and work for. I've spoken to many past employees and they all say the same things regarding Genesis.

Having both of our boys attend over the years says so a lot about how much we trust and appreciate this school. If your child has autism or is nonverbal, I would strongly encourage you to carefully consider…read morewhether this daycare is the right fit. During my initial tour, I informed the daycare that my son has autism, and at that time they assured me it would not be an issue. When I later enrolled him, they again stated they were willing to give it a try, especially since he would only be attending on some weekends when there were fewer children, allowing him time to adjust. My son attended this daycare a total of five times. During those visits, I never received any complaints or concerning feedback. The only issue mentioned was that he did not want to nap, which is common for many children. I recently received a call informing me that they could no longer accommodate my son because he required one-on-one attention. Initially, no specific explanation was provided. After I called back seeking clarification, I was told that he had opened a door and attempted to go outside, had disrupted other children during nap time, and did not participate in the day's flashcard activity. I found these explanations concerning because when I picked him up on his last visit, I was told that other children had actually woken him from his nap. Additionally, I believe children in daycare should have opportunities to learn through play and socialize, not solely participate in structured activities. I am disappointed that after only five visits, the daycare decided they could no longer accommodate my son. If a facility is unable to support children with special needs, I believe this should be clearly communicated to families during the enrollment process. Every child deserves to be cared for in an environment where they are valued, supported, and given the opportunity to succeed.
