TCI built an amazing community that we still keep in touch with years later. We are so grateful to have found this school when we did!!

They still get emotional when we reflect on how much they miss TCI as TCI has been such an integral part of our lives for so long! They fingerknit (something they learned at the school) as they reflect and reminisce. I've had both of my daughters attend TCI - my oldest started at age 4 and went until she went to Kindergarten and came back for all the breaks and the summer. My youngest started at 20 months and just graduated this past summer at 5.5 years old. I frequently travel for work and my kids have been to over 10 child care/day care facilities (Creme, other montessoris, Goddard, Kindercare, ISM private academy, immersion academies etc.) and my oldest will be in 2nd grade at XinXing Academy in Hopkins....so I can confidently say that TCI is, by far, the best school for children for SO many reasons. They are 1000% child focused. - They always do what is best for the children from how the environment is carefully prepared and the word choices the guides use in each language they speak. - The environment is set up for a child's lifetime success and it is absolutely beautiful with high quality materials and crazy attention to detail. - The children learn independence and responsibility - they get their own water and snack, they sweep up their own messes, materials are put away when completed. Plus they learn how to plant and pick their own food in the garden. - The guides are HIGHLY qualified in both the toddler and children house communities (think graduate level credentials) in addition to the AMI certification. This is a huge difference compared the frequently underpaid 'teachers' in 'day cares' that just watch the kids. - The lead teacher and staff are amazing partners in parenting - they help think through challenges a child might be having and provide a lot of insight into their development - it's like having a developmental coach for the child! Some things to be aware of is that you need to make lunch each day - I know other places will provide lunch, TCI does not. There are a lot fewer pictures that you receive in comparison to other pictures - as Lishi said, the focus is on child development, not taking pictures. I would be happy to talk to any parent who is interested in TCI - I know that sometimes it is daunting if you aren't familiar with the Montessori approach. I've added in a few pictures to this review - these are my children only (which is why I blocked out the other child's face). Masks are not required, the one picture that had a mask on was because my daughter was coughing and I didn't want her to get others sick :)

Treats the classroom like a black box and withholds information from parents to keep control. Cruel and cold hearted person many parents talk about her poor behavior and communication and simply put up with it because their child is being taken care of however I would urge you to ask to talk to other parents in the community before committing to the school. Your child might be taken care of well but thats doesn't mean you won't have problems with the administration who runs it. Many parents complain about her inappropriate communication and strong opinions on how to parents and raise their kids. Over the years many parents have left or she has dismissed the students without any notice or logical reason, many reasons not due to safety or behavior but because she wanted too. Very little checks and balances at the school. Many working families left to scramble and find childcare because she simply decided you don't belong there any more. Good luck working with someone with a low emotional intelligence and level of compassion.

We tried another "Montessori" daycare (not accredited) with our oldest child and were very disappointed. We've been so happy to have our youngest at Little Flowers. From the administrators to the teachers to the custodial staff, everyone here is a gem. Incredibly kind, patient, and dedicated. We love attending the events the school holds, which are often for fun but also very often to service the community. We really align with the ethos of both the teaching practices and worldview of Sunny Hollow. A small but important fact: there's a surprising amount of diversity in my daughter's classroom, especially considering the neighborhood. It's been great seeing that and I hope that stays true as she grows into the older classrooms. Something to note: Sunny Hollow is very much a school and not a daycare, even for toddlers. There's a specific ten minute window for drop offs in the morning, and the after school program is from 3:30 to 4:30. They have a specific curriculum for the kids that they stick to. We personally love this, because it's definitely helped our daughter develop beyond what's expected of a two-year-old, and it's actually really nice that we see her as going to school, not going to daycare. A big thing that's been a massive plus: they spearhead toilet training from the get go. A couple months after our oldest daughter started at Sunny Hollow, our second daughter was born. We were (and are) so swamped in trying to take care of two very young kids, we barely did anything with toilet training. Our daughter, because of her guidance at school, started wanting to go on the potty at home all by herself. We're still in the midst of training, but it's been more or less painless. Our youngest daughter is only four months old but we already put in her application to go to Sunny Hollow. So happy to be a part of their community!

I wonder why they still have 5 stars even with bad reviews on Google? Obviously they are good at managing their reviews. And no new reviews on Facebook since 2018, I wonder why, where did those reviews go. I think Greatschools.org tells more truth about this place.
