Brought my dd here based on the good review...was not disappointed! The office is new and modern, waiting area had a lot of activities and books for kids to enjoy, staff was friendly. When we went in back, there was already a Dora DVD playing. It was my dd's first time at the dentist, and she was scared. Dr. Wong really tried to make her feel comfortable, took time to explain to her what he was going to do, even showed her how the chair moves up and down. The hygienist was also gentle - she stopped to change the flavor of the polish when my daughter complained about the taste. The best part for dd was when she got her goody bag complete with disney princess toothbrush, spongebob toothpaste, timer, and flossers. Then she even got to choose a toy from the treasure box. A great first experience for her - we'll definitely be back as will her brother! read more

Dr. Wong is the best dentist I've even met - if he treated adults, I would see him! Thankfully, my kids get to see him. My 10 year old need 2 teeth extracted and a spacer wire inserted. Dr. Wong was very thoughtful about the entire process and even spent an hour with me on the phone to discuss how to handle all the details (my son has an emotional regulation issue). The procedure was fine. A year later, the wire started to come off and was causing pain. We met Dr Wong at the office at 9pm on a Saturday night to exam my son and remove the wire. He is extremely patient with me and my kids. On the medical side, his approach is appropriately invasive - meaning, he really thinks about the whole child and is very thoughtful before doing any treatment. He is really awesome - I wish I could find an adult dentist like him! I can see his biggest issue will be that he is only one person and probably will have a hard time finding a partner as good as he is. I feel really grateful to be able to bring my kids to him and happy for the other kids that get to see him. read more

Horrible experience!!! They were rude and charging us $130 for my kids regular cleaning...I called them and they said it was the charges for the chloride....it was impossible!!! I wanted to talked to the doctor and they won't let me talk with him...I will never recommended this to anybody!! read more

Dr. Wong and his staff are generally friendly and good with children. His office walls are covered with kids' drawings and projects, making the place feel like a classroom instead of a dentist's office. For older kids, though, Dr. Wong may not be as intimidating as he should be when he finds problems with your teeth. read more

My now 28 month old has been here twice. Both times went well. They have plenty of tricks up theirs sleeves to get him to open up and get his teeth checked. Plenty of kid friendly things to look at and stay entertained long enough to get the job done. I received plenty of information regarding pacifiers, cleaning routines, floride and normal teething. We went to Little Smile Makers about a month ago for a cleaning and checkup. Two days after the cleaning, our daughter came up with an infection in her gums. We went back to Little Smile Makers and they charged us $100 for a one-minute look and said it was nothing. We took her to another dentist who said it was serious and recommended we see a doctor. The doctor agreed it was a serious infection and put her on antibiotics. The infection spread throughout her mouth, and it took three rounds of antibiotics over a three-week period to finally get the infection to go away. It was a horrible experience. Both the doctor and the other dentist we went to agreed it was due to something at the cleaning that caused the infection. In general, we felt the dentist was average at best, and his staff was extremely poor. The final straw was charging us $100 to take a look at an infection that they caused, and said it was nothing. Needless to say we will never go back there again, and would recommend people search elsewhere for a dentist. read more

This dental office ROCKS. Dr Wong is awesome. He is very friendly and always makes sure the parents and kids understand what's going on. He always patiently give us educations on how to pay attention to our little one's dental development. Even my picky husband agrees Dr. Wong is a good dentist. In fact, our little one likes her dental check up at Little Smile Maker. The office is very clean and nicely decorated. The equipments are also updated. Kids can watch movies when they have their dental work done. There are always fun prices after the visit. I wish I can go to little smile maker for myself. Dr. Wong and the staffs are always pleasant and friendly. My six year old has been going there since she was five and loves it. She looks forward to going every 6 months to get her teeth checked. Took my 5 year-old in as a new patient and like any little one, she was apprehensive. But after meeting Dr Wong, the rest of the friendly staff, her check-up was a breeze. Very clean, kid-friendly. Dr Wong is wonderful with kids and communicates well with parents. A big plus for me was he gave me different choices as far as what we can do with my daughter's teeth- and he remained a dentist, NOT a pushy salesman. My daughter loved her goody bag and gold coin to claim her prize in the tower of prizes. It's cheesy but true, on our ride home, she said "Thanks for taking me to Dr. Wong. I took my 18 month old for his first dental check up last week. I was a little nervous of my son throwing a fit and screaming but thankfully noting like that happened. The office had a nice, clean play area for the little ones up front. My son started playing with some toys right there. Then one of the employees took me into her office to sign forms and then the doctor came out and took us back to look at my sons teeth. At every step the staff and the doctor made sure my baby was comforrtable. In fact at teh end when I was asking the doctor my questions, he came up front to the waiting area with me and sat and talked to me while my son played in the kiddie area. read more

Excellent experience. Everyone there was so nice and warm. Dr. Wong explained every step to my 4 yr old daughter. She told me she was scared on the way there having never been to the Dentist before, then after she spoke with him she totally relaxed. There were toys in the waiting room and she was given a good bag with all sorts of stuff on the way out, plus a new toothbrush of her choice. Dora was playing on the T.V.s as her teeth were being cleaned. I highly recommend this place. read more

I hesitate to tell all how GREAT Dr. Wong is, I want to be able to book appointments with him easily. I have feared taking my child to a DDS, but after 10 minutes in his office, I was just as excited as my 5 year old. He spoke to both of us in a manner that helped to ease our minds. He seems to actually enjoy his job. He believes that dentistry should grow with your child, so that you don't make them fear it. His grab bags at the end made all the difference. My son is now brushing and flossing 2 times a day and can't wait until Oct. for his next appointment. Truly a wonderful office staff and Dr. There are not many DDS out there that seem to believe in whole experience dentistry, but he seems to! Here's to years of visits to come! read more

Very good experience. We have been going here for 2 years. (My son is seven now.) The dentist, Dr. Wong, is excellent. Very friendly and completely puts my son at ease. He informs my son about everything that he (Dr. Wong) will do during the visit and that helps a lot because my son can be quite squeamish. Last time, Dr. Wong recommended molar sealants and even checked to make sure that my insurance covers it. I was still unsure so he told me the pros and cons and suggested I check online, etc. and call back to make another appointment. I really appreciated that because I did not feel rushed into making a decision and I also felt that Dr. Wong was 'on my side,' unlike how some adult dentists make you feel! I am glad I found Little SmileMakers. read more

So I have taken my boys here for the past 3 years. I do like Dr Wong. He is pleasant and thorough however my last two visits to his office involved getting a quote for some extensive dental work for my youngest son. The quote also included a separate quote from the anesthesiologist who would also put my child to sleep should I decide to move forward with the procedure, which I was not entirely comfortable with. I was surprised at the out of pocket expense that was presented to me. $6000+. Are you kidding me? I am relieved to say that I have found another family dentist office that was just as thorough but without the astronomical expense and condescending service from the two women at the front desk. Their "matter of fact tone" and lack of friendly service was the final straw. Taking our business elsewhere! read more

I have never been more impressed with a dental visit than the one we had at LIttle Smile Makers...it's like the Super Franks of dental offices. This place is totally decked out for kids and the entire staff caters to children, down to their Disney scrubs. Dr. Wong came out into the waiting room to introduce himself to my son and to us; he took his time to explain what to expect and was extremely thorough with his responses to our questions. He is sensitive to toddlers' not-so-fantastic temperaments (my 2.5 year old son's fave saying right now is "NO WAY!" with attitude and a growl) and works around it, being careful not to break that delicate foundation of comfort and trust that needs to be built between child and doctor. I'll keep my rating as a 5 for now based on our first visit (first impressions carry tons of weight in my book) and will stay that way unless our consecutive visits suck. read more

dr wong is great with kids and his office is definitely well equipped with things to distract them. dr wong is patient and explains things very thoroughly to the parents. i think the kids also appreciate that he doesn't surprise them...he explains everything he's doing so they won't be scared...and neither would the parents. he's got a fan in me AND my 3 year old! read more

They kept cleaning my daughter's teeth, every visit, but her teeth never got very clean. I think they didn't use the regular scraping tool other dentists use. They kept trying to fix a problem area between two teeth, where food would get caught and cause decay; they could never fix it. Eventually she got a bad tooth infection and a tooth died (luckily, a baby tooth). After hundreds of dollars and many visits, we gave up and switched dentists. Her cavities are fixed, the trouble spot has been fixed, and her teeth have finally been properly cleaned. read more

This was our 2 yr old daughter's first visit to the dentist, so we were skeptical as to how she'd react. I'd been putting off the entire dental visit for so long because I was worried my daughter would be too scared to even open her mouth. I had done considerable research on pediatric dentists in the area and had heard some great things about Dr. Wong. WOW - what a find! From the minute we entered the office, we knew we made the right decision. The staff was really sweet, and Dr. Wong was so incredibly patient and kind. I thought it was great that he came out to the waiting room to greet us and tell us what to expect on our first visit. He took us back to the dental chair (where parents can sit right next to their child the entire time) and explained everything to our daughter and let her decide how much he was going to do that morning. Our daughter not only let him look in her mouth, but let him do a complete cleaning and checkup. This was A LOT more than what we'd hoped for. It didn't hurt that he had Dora playing on the DVD player AND gave her a goody bag filled with Dora goodies. Our daughter was so happy and proud that she had gotten her teeth cleaned. The greatest thing is our daughter now loves the dentist. I don't even think many adults can say that! I've never been a reviewer on Yelp, but after seeing how happy my daughter was, I thought this was a great reason to open an account and let others know how great Dr. Wong is! read more

Dr. Wong really connects with the kids and he knows how to gently approach things and explain things. And he gave me, as a parent, great insight into teeth development. Dr. Wong as warm and welcoming and smart as they come! The kids LOVE him and his staff. He's got a very cool office with treasure chest and movies. Aside from them running next door to borrow Superman, just because my son loved Superman, which was so cool, he always finds a way to make the kids feel special. Never pushy, nor condescending. He explains everything clearly and tells you all your options and the details of his recommendation. All my kids love him and going to his office.That's what counts. read more

Dr. Wong is the best child dentist there is. My 5 year old son had 8 cavities treated by him. He was so patient and good with him. My son did not require sedation and the procedures went well. He explained clearly to my son and I everything he was doing. The staff here is so friendly and encouraging. I am so happy we found this dentist. I took my 2 1/2 yr old daughter here for a check up bc I was recommended by my closest friend. Dr Wong was WONDERFUL and is soooo good with the little ones! My daughter was initially a little scared but Dr Wong and his staff took a lot of time to make her comfortable before they ever had her open her mouth. They were able to do a quick exam AND clean her teeth quickly. The office is very kid friendly and each chair has a tv in front of it so she was able to watch her favorite tv show (Dora)! I give Dr Wong and staff FIVE stars and we will definitely be back in 6 months! read more

I have never written a review before but felt compelled to write one after my visit to this dental office. I was referred for a consultation with Dr. Wong after being told my 5 year old may need a baby root canal, which would require some form of sedative, which our family dentist does not offer. I am not a helicopter parent by any means. If I entrust my children into your care, then I will happily back away and give you space to do your thing. I am not squeamish about medical procedures, as I have taken my child in for surgery in the past and have held him down while he got stitches. However, before I handed over my child to Dr. Wong, I did have questions about what the procedure entailed and the medications they planned to administer. Maybe its the fact that I am an attorney, but I like to be well informed. Dr. Wong was not only obviously irritated with my questions, but was rude and insulting. He spoke to me in the tone of voice I use when I am scolding my children. He told me that he did not want me communicating with my child about the procedure and to leave it to him. He also told me that since I am obviously uncomfortable I should have somebody else bring my child in for the procedure. I am a grown professional. I am not paying him to berate me and speak to me like a child. And if he has this little patience for parents' questions, I cannot even begin to imagine how impatient he would be with my child. Needless to say, I found another dentist. My new dentist is warm, friendly, and provided all the information I needed without having to ask. I feel completely comfortable and confident placing my child in her care. Its a shame I could not say the same about Dr. Wong. read more
