I do home-schooling for my children, and this place was the most valuable investment.

Be sure to get your car registered, or park in a visitors spot and pay it. If not expect agony. Yet I'd like to focus on this campus, as I spent some time rediscovering where I went when I had hair. There have been a lot of changes, but much is the same. Friendly easy going campus, and the pond out front is as pretty as ever. What I liked about this and all campuses of NVCC, is that your professors had real world experience. They weren't some frumpy tenured person, who enjoyed adding their brilliance to the new expensive class book. Here most of my instructors were assistant FBI directors, or high up in public safety agencies. They taught so you'd learn and remember, as while test taking can be important, retention is the best indicator of an education. Have gone to other schools, but this one is a friendly place for all to learn. Am a big supporter of this and other community colleges.

Now that I spent 60 hours in training there, I have NO issues withe the program or Mr. Bonnacci's training skills. He teaches with wisdom from decades. Old school, hell yes, and it was very, very necessary. He is outstanding, his company, very professional, his staff personable.

The security business is not what most people think. The images of a nondescript security guard…read moregiving directions at a mall, on patrol at an apartment complex, or checking bags at a concert are what most people imagine. But there's more to the job and the industry. A lot more. Security officers are professionals who serve a vital role and not one that is devoid of danger. A significant number are killed in the line of duty every year. Many because their training was inadequate or incomplete. It's a serious and hazardous business. A profession that can be unforgiving. So if you want to get into the business or keep your skills sharp, you need the best training available. The instructors at A Security Training Academy are the best in the Metropolitan DC area by far. They're tough and direct when it comes to learning your lessons, but that's what's needed if you're going to succeed and survive. They're in business to prepare you for some very serious work and how to get the job done correctly, professionally, and, of course, safely. The owner of A Security probably has more security-related qualifications than anyone in the region. And his team of instructors is every bit as dedicated to the students' success as he is. I've attended several classes at the school for various disciplines: Armed Security, Patrol Rifle, Tactical Handcuffing, Baton Usage, Pepper Spray Deployment, and Basic First Aid. At the end of every course, I knew I was not only more effective at doing my job, but I was also a more desirable employee at any security company I went to work for. Don't take chances with instructors or schools that are less experienced and knowledgeable. If you're entering a no-nonsense business like security or are continuing your education in the field, you need a no-nonsense approach to learning the trade. Your success, and your life, depend on it.

It did take us a few years to get in because we didn't start applying until my kids were in upper elementary and middle school grades but it was worth every second of the wait. The staff is unbelievably kind and supportive, from support staff to teachers to the Administrators. ICS has wonderfully robust programming for a private school. They also create so many opportunities for families to serve and partner with the school. If strong Christian values and character building are at the top of your list for your family in a private school, ICS will exceed all your expectations.

The academics challenge students beyond all expectations, and our son feels energized to learn and excel. The Strings Orchestra provides a rich musical opportunity for our son whose talent as a violinist shines bright. Athletics and club activities provide many opportunities for additional growth. I had one at a different school about 1 month ago. The center is located in Annandale at the Seoul Plaza, inside, 2nd floor. At the time, the elevator was not working, so I took the stairs. There is a sign on the elevator door, but its in Korean. I was wondering if it was an out of service sign...and it probably was, lol! Oncei got to the 2nd floor, I followed the signs and found the center. The staff person at the check-in table was welcoming. I had already registered online over a month ago and received a reminder email 2 days prior. The Masseuse introduced himself and showed me where to go, to get ready and he would be back. The Masseuse was professional and asked what areas needed focus and asked how the pressure was if I needed less or more. I asked for a relaxation massage. The Masseuse found the tight spots without me having to tell him. I literally melted. You never realize how tense your muscles are until you get a massage. I am trying to get them minimum once per month or twice. After it was over, he told me to take my time standing up. The website says pay with cash so I was prepared and I gave a tip. Some things that need improvement, the restroom. It is a shared office building with various businessess so the center does not have a private one. The restroom stays locked so you have to get the key from the massage center. The bathroom is just sadly rundown and needs some attention. Other than that, I plan to come back. I may not get the same Masseuse student, but thats ok. Since they're completing the required hours, they are temporary. If you're stressed out with aches and tension, come and check this place out. #selfcare
