A free community library. Located right in front of the CalHeights child care building and next to…read morea few schools. Right on Bixby Rd, which is a major street through this area. Also right next to an alleyway. Between the kids, traffic on Bixby, and cars using the alleyway, it's just not a friendly or inviting environment to be using the library. Too much commotion! Most of the books in this library are pretty beat up and not in the best condition.

There are lots of bees flying around the plants when you are trying to look at the available books, which is why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5.

This Library is located half a block away from an elementary school. It is right next to the…read moresidewalk, which makes access easier - no need to step on the homeowner's property or step on any shrubberies. There are mostly children's books and a few history books. Not a very plentiful selection compared to other free library boxes in the area. This one looks more like a birdhouse and lacks a variety of colors.

As soon as I approached the book box, the homeowner opened their front door and just stood there watching. It was extremely weird and gave off a bad vibe. The available books were only adult novels, which was not what I was looking for. Pass on this one.
