The moment I experienced a tour at Little Einstein's Daycare I knew it was the place for my child. Ms. Mari, the owner and director, gave me the guided tour. It was a cozy and intimate place yet also spacious enough for the small groups of kids to work and play. The teachers were happy and excited to meet me. It was the end of the day and they were cleaning one side of the daycare. I was shocked at how meticulous they were while rubbing down individual toys. The schedule was clear and visible for students. The teachers were singing and talking in Spanish and English to the kids. There was a lot of love and hugging and helping the children work out sharing issues. It felt like the love and intimacy of a home daycare and also had aspects of a kindergarten classroom with kids selecting books, building towers with friends, and artwork and writing displayed on the walls.
As a result of the high demand for admission, I immediately was put on the waiting list, but eventually earned a spot. Let me tell you how I feel after a year and a half of attending (my younger daughter also just started a couple of months ago). Outside of the home, I don't know if it would be possible for kids to be loved more than at Little Einstein's Daycare.
I get emotional when I think about the love and standard of care they embrace our children with daily. Our girls are excited to go to school. As an elementary teacher and parent, this brings me so much joy. I know EXACTLY what they are doing on a daily basis, through an app where I receive pictures, comments, explanations of the standards that are being targeted, food choices, bathroom uses, naps, etc. All their fun artwork is sent home for us to display.
My older daughter mimics circle time at home and runs around singing and talking to her dolls in Spanish. When I have an issue at home (like my daughter not getting to sleep right away at night) I just talk to her teacher and they immediately find solutions (like making sure to wake her after an hour nap). They have conferences where they put so much thought into describing how your child is doing. It is so clear how well they know my children. They partner with you when the children encounter challenges.
Like many children experience, our youngest child is communicating via biting. After a recent incident, they called me to tell me everything that THEY were doing to help her. They had a plan to help her verbalize how she was feeling, and a technique to keep her distracted when she was more inclined to bite. I never felt that they judged our parenting skills, because they had a collaborative solution oriented mindset to address the issue.
We love our teachers AND the administration. You will never feel like your kids are just a number. The communication is outstanding. Your children will learn through experience: structured play and engaging activities via 1:1 time with their teachers. Moreover, the teachers will communicate in Spanish and English, and most importantly, do so in a loving manner. If you are lucky enough to go here, they will become a second family for your children. read more
