She has a variety of tours to suit your interests. Ghost tours are evening affairs and visit the famous Natchez Cemetery. History tours occur during the day, and visit points of interest. Ms. Brown is very personable and you will immediately feel comfortable with her. She has a wealth of knowledge to share with the visitors, and is indeed happy to do so. The comfortable driving tour is a good way to learn about Natchez and see a variety of locations. They range from a hour and a half to about three hours. The pricing is very reasonable for this type of guided tour, and we all enjoyed our time with Ms. Brown.

Really not so grand…read more This is my second time staying here and it's gotten worse since my last visit which has only been maybe 2 or 3 years ago. OK, so this is probably the best hotel you can stay at in or around Natchez but they are obviously floating by on that. The lobby is really nice, but that's where it ends. They don't seem to regularly upkeep the place. Cons: -Had a difficult time getting into the room multiple times, weird room key card issue -They are supposed to be a smoke free hotel, but our room smell like smoke and was musty smelling -No luggage rack. I really don't like having to put my suitcase on the bed or floor to unpack -Cheap outdated furniture -AC unit doesn't work well. I was here two nights and though the AC was set to 65, my family and I woke up hot multiple times. -Fridge was disgusting! Had to put our water in the door of the fridge because the other portion of the fridge was soiled and not clean -Bathroom sink leaks everytime it was turned on, toilet is way to low and the toilet handle was so loose I was afraid I was going to break it everytime I flushed. -Room too expensive and there was an added fee for the pool and Wi-Fi. Not cool -I wasn't expecting much from their breakfast offerings but it was not good at all. Everything was in those warming chafing dishes but everything but the grits was cold. French toast tasted like bread with maple syrup and it was hella chewy, breakfast sausage low quality, eggs fake, grits were actually good( in comparison) Pros: -Staff was friendly -Our room had a great view of the Mississippi River -We had a place to lay our head -My family liked how big and fluffy the pillows were. I had a crook in my neck both nights, but no fault of theirs -Cute, walkable area behind the hotel that had music, vendors and Christmas decorations Due to slim pickings, this probably won't be my last time here, but this hotel could really be nice if they put more effort into the rooms and upkeep. Locals report heavy boots on the porch even today -- it's easy to feel the tension that once gripped this house. Then there's the Weeping Lady. A young bride whose fiancé never returned from war, she still drifts through the parlor, whispers in a soft Southern drawl, and rocks her empty chair. The story is tragic, haunting, and told with just the right touch of history so it never feels cheap. Every hallway, every room, even the grounds feel alive. You can almost picture the soldiers marching, the family hiding, and the heartbreak that never left these walls. By the end, I was half enchanted, half ready to sleep with the lights on -- and 100% glad I went.

What made our experience worse was the manager, Valerie's, response. Instead of addressing our concerns seriously, she made excuses--even though we showed her the areas of concern. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Glenfield Plantation based on our experience. Cleanliness is the bare minimum for any lodging, and this place did not meet that standard.

The "2-bedroom suite" layout was very misleading for three adults. The second bedroom was accessed through the main bedroom, making it awkward for privacy and much better suited for parents traveling with young children. The sitting area was essentially non-functional, leaving us with nowhere to comfortably spend time outside the main bedroom. The room had an extremely strong floral fragrance that was overwhelming and made one member of our party feel nauseated. While the grounds are beautiful in photographs, they clearly needed maintenance. Areas were overgrown and potentially hazardous for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. The parking area became muddy and flooded after only a mild rain. The outdoor furniture was dirty, weathered, and in some cases had exposed metal that made us uncomfortable using it. There was also a noticeable odor of cat urine around parts of the property. The bathroom initially appeared updated, until you encountered the wooden plank transition into the shower and the toilet area, which was so small it was difficult to even turn around comfortably. We specifically chose Monmouth for the immersive historic inn experience and instead found it to be an expensive disappointment and a $300 mistake.

Not end of the world but didn't want to be separated. THEN we get to the room, and we have ZERO blankets. Just a sheet. And because they have ZERO staff on site from 10pm to 8 am, I was screwed and froze all night! Called the next morning and asked for blankets, told them I had a sheet only. No apology or anything! There are coffee pots in the room but no water to make coffee. So bring your own water. Also, I'm road tripping and this was the worse (hardest) bed yet. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean and of course the mansion is majestic. But my experience here was awful. I froze all night. Terrible experience.

There were about five or six stops on the tour. Scott was incredibly knowledgeable both about Natchez history and paranormal investigation.. I knew nothing about it and learned a lot, but my girlfriend, who is very interested in the subject, also enjoyed it. So something for everybody.. He also recommended a few bars and restaurants we could enjoy for afterwards. The tour starts at 7:00, and Scott's recommendation which I agree with is to eat before. For some bizarre reason, most restaurants in Natchez seem to close at 9:00 p.m., even on a saturday. Tours are $25 and he takes cash app, cash on site, or you can pre-register.. I tipped him well and you should also!
