Nice of the owner to rate himself five stars. Not quite my assessment. First off, it's not beautiful...they did have the chance to make it context sensitive to our rural horse farm backdrop but they installed a huge florescent sign that dominates the night. Poor taste- could and should have been much more classy. Still, like most of us, I like to support small local businesses so I stopped by to check it out. They had a few decent craft beers and all of the run of the mill stuff (it's not really hard to find Miller Lite, right?) but it's small so the selection is limited at best and the prices are higher than average. Nonetheless I bought a lot of beer for a party later that day. Once outside I realized that I forgot the ice. I went right back in to get a few bags of ice but evidently I had not met the minimum to use a credit card. I explained that had literally had just walked out the door with $100 worth of beer...surely he remembered. He did but I was reminded that I needed to meet the minimum.....again. We all know that all stores can take a credit card for any purchase but they get charged a small fee for each use. I had already more than paid for that fee. I told him if he did not ring up the ice, I would never come back. He refused. I never returned and never will. read more
