Well let's just say, I don't give out five stars lightly. Absolutely amazing food and cocktails!!…read moreOf course not everything was perfect, but near to it. To run through the evening courses let's start with the opening app and cocktail. The Chips & Dip, house made seasoned chips with a perfect Blue Cheese dip with caramelized shallots, I suggest ordering an extra cup of the dip as there are an abundance of chips. My first cocktail was perfect or shall we say a "Pear-Fect Manhattan". This play on the Manhattan had a hint of pear and was spirit forward. We continued the evening with two sharable plates, the first was the Tenderloin Steak Bites served with a perfect Wasabi Kimchi Sauce. As tender as it was, the steak could have used more seasoning or being marinated in that delicious sauce. The second sharable was the Chile Seared Shrimp, placed atop delicious Cheesy Grits, very yummy. The evening ended with the most amazing dessert and paired cocktail. By all means, do yourself a favor and indulge in the most decadent Butter Cake drizzled in a Bourbon Caramel Sauce paired with a Amaretto Sour cocktail. You wouldn't necessarily know it, but the White Rabbit nestled in this strip mall sets itself up with the ambiance as a high end establishment.

I ordered the Rib Roast Dip. It was very good. I ate half there and boxed up the other half. the other half was actually better the next day! We started with cheese curds. Loved that they were batter fried and not breaded. Very tasty and a huge app portion. My entree was the pulled pork sandwich with bbq beans. Everything was very good. Pork had a savory flavor and it was nice and tender. Portions were large. Topped it all off with a Hazy Little Thing beer. Great service. Easy parking. Just off a major road. Great stop.

My husband works for an LTL delivery service and made a couple deliveries to Jellybean and Julia's…read morewhen they were opening their current location. He told me back then that someday we needed to check out J&J's. We love small business, local, non-chain restaurants. I decided to surprise my husband and take him to J&J's for Father's Day. We are empty nesters, so it was just the two of us for lunch. We arrived just after 12 p.m. There was a line out the door, which we expected since it was Father's Day and Sunday lunchtime. We were told it would be a 15-20 minute wait for a table, which we had no issue with. We ended up waiting less than 10 minutes because there was a table available on the patio. The weather was beautiful, and with summer being so short in Minnesota, we like to take advantage of it whenever we can. Our server came to our table shortly after we were seated, but it was long enough that we both had time to decide what we wanted before she arrived. I ordered the Texas Philly, and my husband had the brisket sandwich. We had to wait a while for our food, which we understood given how busy the restaurant was. Others around us were complaining about the wait, and those tables had a different server who was very apologetic about the kitchen being backed up. The hand-cut fries were piping hot and seasoned perfectly. It's so rare to go out to eat and get hot fries, let alone fries that are piping hot. That alone was worth the wait! My husband loved the brisket sandwich, and the Texas Philly was SO good--piled full of meat. We live in the south metro, but it was well worth the 30+ minute drive to get there. We'll definitely be back and will absolutely recommend J&J's to others!

I wish I could have had the sense to take pictures. We paid a high price for food that Dennys wouldn't even serve They sent three people to cook and serve for a family style dinner for 47 people. The upgrade dishes were corelle ware. Cheap silverware and tacky stem ware. Luckily we brought our own linen napkins. The meal itself was inedible. I had to leave the table. Dry meat, soggy , wilted , brown salad . Paid for food we didn't even get. I had to get up and clear dishes. They served the dinner so poorly. The first served tables were done eating before the other tables even got their food. Most people didn't even eat the food ! And it was only 47 people . I can not even begin to wish this catering service on anyone. Stay away from them. It was beyond awful !!! I can't even list all that were done so poorly!

The food is also lacking quality. At my event, the food was undercooked, and there wasn't enough for the amount of people I paid for. Only 30 % of my attendees were able to eat...and most of them said that the other 70% "didn't miss much". Very disappointed. Will not use Wells Catering again. I wish the Fountains of Ramsey would use a different caterer. The facility is great, but only uses Wells. Too bad.

I was excited to try something different in the North burbs, land of corporate restaurants…read more Unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing. I ordered through Door Dash. First, the good. The Dumpling Soup is excellent. Lots of plump Pelmeni (dumplings), veggies that weren't mushy, and a wonderful broth. But the Chicken Kiev was underwhelming. The promised river of herb garlic butter was missing, which left the meat a bit dry and bland. I ordered it with Egg Noodles and was expecting wide noodles like that shown in pictures of the noodles as a side dish. Instead, they were more like thin overcooked spaghetti. I was hoping that the missing butter from the chicken would be found in the bed of noodles, but it wasn't there either. I'll probably try it again, as I want to try some of their other dishes. Maybe it's better if eaten at the restaurant.

They helped us plan the perfect menu of small bites, while taking in our feedback about our guests. Delivery, setup and takedown was perfectly on time and Nicole was a pleasure to talk with and work with! The food from Chowgirls is phenomenal! The whole agency was raving and asking where it was from - we even had a couple of people want to use them for their upcoming celebrations! Some highlights for me included: * The hot chocolate tarte was rich and delicious - and it truly was a hot chocolate flavor! * The apple manchego sandwiches were the perfect blend of fall flavors, and everyone was shocked it wasn't a dry sandwich with all the toppings! It was a crowd favorite. * the steak skewers were perfectly cooked and tender, even served cold! * The mezze platter was delicious and filling, with some unique flavors Overall, I would recommend Chowgirls to anyone and would definitely use them again!
