I feel so lucky to have found Heirloom Cloud! And I feel even more honored to have been a proud…read morecustomer of theirs. I had a total of around ~45 8mm tapes that I wanted to digitize. After scouring the internet and doing my own research on which digitization company I could trust the most with precious home memories, I landed requesting services from Heirloom Cloud. Not only did I feel confident about their services from all their reviews, but also I loved that it was veteran-owned, veteran-friendly, and autism-inclusive in their hiring practices. I wish more businesses were like them! With regard to my actual services, they were reasonably priced, especially compared to the more "well-known" digitization companies out there. Their customer service is also amazing. Once they received my tapes, I got a call and email from Justin Baker to walk me through their process. Not only that, but when I received my digitized media about two weeks later, the quality was genuinely amazing. I also had such peace-of-mind throughout the entire process because I loved how transparent they are about careful handling of my tapes. And, what's more, they even talk about how they specialize in repairing any damaged/deteriorated aspects of your tapes. So, to Geoff Weber, Justin Baker, and the rest of the entire team, thank you for making the world a better place by protecting peoples' memories and giving us the golden opportunity to revisit and relive them. I'll definitely be a returning customer.

Heirloom.Cloud extended strong customer service and high production value. The entire process was seamless. They exceeded expectations at every turn. They come highly recommended as a solid option to convert memories to digital. It is clear why Heirloom is America's fastest growing digitizer of home movies, photos, film reels, and scrapbooks.

McCants charges too much…read more I was selling my home, and McCants was the closing attorney chosen by the buyer. When I got the settlement statement, some of the fees seemed a bit high and some of them were ones I hadn't seen on previous settlement statements I've had. That made me suspicious. I tallied up all the charges under the "Title Charges" section (regardless of whether buyer or seller paid) and compared them to the settlement statement from when I bought the same house 5 years ago -- even though the "title insurance" itself did not increase, McCants' title charges were $700 more than the original from 5 years ago. Which means the difference is due solely to title-related fees. McCants charged $1900 when Dodds & Hennessy charged $1200 (including $600 for title insurance that did not increase). When I argued about the fees with McCants, he told me his fees were standard and that Dodds & Hennessy probably cut a deal with the builder and had a set fee schedule just for the builder. Y'know, I can see D & H maybe giving a 10-20% discount, but that's a 60% increase. I can't see any lawyer doing that steep of a cut, even for a builder. The difference can't be due to home value increase over that 5 year period either, because I actually sold my house for $3k LESS than I bought it for. When I specifically pointed out fees that showed up on McCants settlement statement that did not show up on one of my past Weeks & Irvine settlement statements from the past year, he called their settlement statement an aberration. Funny, I've used them multiple times, scrutinized their settlement statements just as closely, and never felt that they were being unfairly high like I do McCants. I would not recommend going through McCants for house closings unless you're prepared to pay +60% in the title charges section.
